The speaker explains how they were sitting across from someone and noticed that the person's eyes seemed "switched off," as if they were invisible to them. They reflect on how they have lost the power they once had of being desirable. I guess the way I was, you know, I was sitting across from him and I could see in his eyes they were just like switched off, you know. I was invisible to him. I've lost that power over everything. You know, that power that comes from being desirous.
