The speaker emphasizes the amount of time college males spend on their phones and how their attention is being monetized by others. They question who makes the rules and why certain beliefs exist. They highlight the importance of sacrifice, building skills, and becoming successful. They propose that it is a man's duty to make a positive impact on the world and not leave decisions in the hands of others. The speaker encourages listeners to focus on creating a better life and society through hard work and perseverance. This is you, average college male, for 7 hours and 22 minutes every single day. That's over 43% of your time spent awake. And the truth of the matter is, while you're sitting here, swiping away, scrolling away, you're not wishing you were somewhere else than you are right now. Somebody else is getting rich off of your attention. And those are the people that are creating the systems that you're a part of. Which brings me to my next point. Who makes the rules? Who says you can't do this, but you can do that? Who says you should be afraid of approaching women when you're going out or at the bar? Who decides the cost of living? Where does that belief even come from? Why aren't you one of the millionaires being created every single day in this booming economy? Who makes all these rules? The men who created all the things that you and I utilize daily. Your favorite websites, Amazon, Netflix, Shopify, where you buy everything. Someone thought out every single detail of these things. Someone thought out every single detail and created these things. It took a lot of time and energy to do so, and I really guarantee you they weren't distracted. To become one of these men, a shaper of society, a member of the movers of society, a shareholder in the stock of America, you have to sacrifice time, money, energy. You have to go through pain. There's a reason that not everyone has those nice things, because not everyone's willing to go through the pain. It's a painful process full of failure and criticism, and there's no guarantee that you'll ever get a payoff for all the time and energy you put in. Despite all that, you have to build skills, useful skills, and become so dang good at those skills that people pay you. You have to become so dang good that people can't ignore you. You have to do that over and over and over again for years with no guarantee of a payoff, and then you'll get there. My proposition to you is that, as a man, it is literally your duty to have a say in what goes on in the world around you. If something isn't fair, fix it. If a certain system is corrupt, do something about it. Build a new one, a better one, one that allows people to be free and live a joyful life. It is your duty to make these so-called rules, and not just for yourself, but also for your loved ones as well, because if not you, who? Someone else will decide what you can and can't say and how much freedom you have, and those people that are doing it, well, I guarantee you that they don't care as much about your life as you do. And they'll be able to decide a lot of the factors about your life just because you were too lazy, you procrastinated, you just weren't motivated, or you were distracted, whatever the reason is. So, average college male listening, step up, put the phone down, focus on creating your dream life, a life that's better than you can even imagine, and bettering yourself and other people along the way. And working relentlessly, because men are not born, they're built, and you have to go through the pain, and your pain sacrifice will result in an honorable life that you can rest assured will make yourself and the rest of society better. And your pain sacrifice will result in an honorable life that can leave you assured that you... And your pain sacrifice can leave you with an honorable life that you can rest assured you made the most of, so I leave you with a choice. A choice to continue the same average life that everyone expects you to live, or to take charge and willingly go through the pain to shape society into something better for you and your loved ones. Thank you.
