Rubén Darío

Rubén Darío, whose full name was Félix Rubén García Sarmiento, was a poet from Nicaragua who played a significant role in the modernismo literary movement in Spanish-American literature during the late 19th century. His influence on 20th-century Spanish literature and journalism has been immense and long-lasting. Darío is often referred to as the "Prince of Castilian Letters" and is hailed as the undisputed father of the modernismo literary movement.
