Roy Chapman Andrews

Roy Chapman Andrews was a notable American explorer, adventurer, and naturalist. He was appointed as the director of the American Museum of Natural History. Andrews gained popularity for leading several expeditions through China during the politically unstable early 1900s, exploring the Gobi Desert and Mongolia. These expeditions resulted in significant discoveries, including the first-known fossil dinosaur eggs which were brought to the museum. His accounts of his adventures were widely read and made him a celebrated figure.
