Learn moreThe Holy Spirit enlightens and guides us, reminding us that God is always with us. We should seek to receive the Holy Spirit and allow Him to strengthen and empower us. The Spirit helps us stand firm in our faith and reminds us of our identity in Christ. He reassures us, gives us courage, and reminds us that we have power, love, and a sound mind. The Holy Spirit brings life and radiance to those who are filled with Him. He enriches our worship and brings us into the presence of the Lord. It is important to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading and to allow Him to work in the church. We can ask for the Holy Spirit to fill us and guide us in living the life God has called us to. The work of the Holy Spirit is to enlighten you and me. The Holy Spirit will make our pathway clear, and then He'll remind us that God will never leave us or forsake us. I just want to stop just for a moment and ask you a question. Have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? Sometimes we don't always hear it in church about the second work of grace. We know that Jesus died, rose again on the third day, He did the work for you, He did it for me, that we might be reconciled to the Father God, and you've heard me say this many times. God wants us to go further in our pursuit of Him. He sent the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the Teacher, to strengthen us, and to guide us, and to empower us to live lives that are victorious. It reminds us of who we are in Jesus Christ. So again, have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed? The Holy Spirit will establish you in the faith, and it'll help you to stand firm on the foundations of God, for you to be steadfast and unmovable, rooted and grounded in Christ. Psalms 1 says that you'll be like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaves do not wither, whatever he does shall prosper. In John 14 and 18 it says, I will not leave you comforted. That's why He sent the Holy Spirit. He knew that there would be times that we need to be comforted, that we would need reassurance, we would need encouragement, and that's what the Holy Spirit does for us. The Holy Spirit reassures us that yes, we can make and run this race with endurance. Yes, we can walk and not faint, and yes, we can, because the Holy Spirit reassures us, reminds us of who we are, reminds us of our identity in Christ. He gives us a little push and says, yes, you can, because greater is the God in you than that spirit or that entity that's in the world. The Holy Spirit reminds us in Timothy 1 and 7 that God has not given us a spirit of fear, and because the Holy Spirit dwells in us, we have power, we have love, and we have a sound mind. In 2 Corinthians 3 and 16, the Spirit gives life. I believe there is a radius that flows from those who are filled with the Spirit of God. Be in the store and strike up a conversation with somebody, and your spirit will witness with theirs that they're filled with the Holy Spirit. I know that for a fact. You can feel the love. You can feel the God in them. You can look them in the eye and know that the Spirit of God lives in them. So yes, the Spirit does give life, and there is a radiance that flows from those who are filled. John 7 and 38 says, Out of your inner man will flow streams of living water. Joy of the Lord that's full of glory is a peace that's unexplainable. Praise the Lord. The Holy Spirit will orchestrate and enrich our worship and praise in the church, of course, and also in our private devotion and praise. The Holy Spirit will usher us into the presence of the Lord. That's what our praise does. You experience worship that is in spirit and in truth, and when we are in the presence of the Lord, that's when deliverance happens, and that's when breakthrough happens. That's when the joy of the Lord takes over in our spirit and in our mind. The oaks are broke. It's important that we allow the Holy Spirit to flow through our lives and have the first place in our hearts and minds, and that we're sensitive to the voice of God, sensitive to the leading and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, again, there is unity. In order for the church to be effective in this generation, the church must allow the Holy Spirit to work in the midst. People will be coming with issues, and we know that, and only the working of the Holy Spirit can break the yoke. So again, have you received the Holy Spirit in your life? If not, do you want the Holy Spirit? All you do is have to ask for it. You have renounced your sins. You have asked Jesus to come into your heart. It is our right to also ask God to fill us with His Holy Spirit. Come before the Lord. We thank you, God, for blessing us this day. We thank you, dear Father, for the Holy Spirit is available to lead us and to guide us, to make us strong in you, and to help us, to encourage us, and to empower us to live the life that you have called us to live, Lord. We thank you, dear God. We are asking for the Holy Spirit, O God. Reveal yourself to each and every one, Lord, that is sincere, that may not know the Spirit is available. The Holy Spirit is waiting just to come and fill our hearts and minds. Lord, we ask you, God, to bless those who want to know more about you, dear God. Fill them with your Spirit. Fill them with your love. And God, whatever is accomplished, will praise you, will glorify you in Jesus' name. This is Robin from New Generation Christian Family Matters.
