Reverend Mary from Along The Way Ministries discusses the impact of COVID-19 and how it brought people to their knees and reminded them of the importance of faith in Jesus Christ. She emphasizes the need to trust in God and rely on Him in difficult times. Despite the challenges and changes brought on by the pandemic, she highlights the ways in which technology allowed for continued worship and connection with others. She encourages continuous prayer and faith, reminding listeners that no matter what challenges they face, Jesus is always there to guide and protect them. Hey folks, this is Reverend Mary coming to you in the holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior from Along The Way Ministries. This ministry was given to me by our Heavenly Father August 14, 2006. As disciple of Christ, I am bound in the spirit of love and obedience to the will of God. To go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son of the Holy Ghost, that scripture can be found in Matthew chapter 28 verse 19. Hello once again, God bless and keep you. The title of this sermon today is No Matter What, God is in His Holy Temple. I repeat, No Matter What, God is in His Holy Temple. Praise to God from whom all blessings flow. You know, it's important to understand what you know. Wisdom and understanding walk hand in hand. Proverbs 1, 7, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. You know, this is just food for thought. There are more lanes on the highway being built and more highways allowing faster speeds. Faster ways to get from one major city to another. Trains traveling at what seems like lightning speeds. You know, I'm just being observant. It's kind of like going nowhere fast. This stuff was here eons before we got here and will be here after we are gone and at least until the Messiah returns. I was traveling on highway 70 northwest at high rates of speed. You know, I kept seeing this same man even though I passed him several times traveling long distances up the highway and eventually I would look to my right and there he was again. Boy, that just blew my mind, you know, but you know, experience made me realize I was going nowhere fast. Really. Here it is many, many decades later and the famine in the land is called COVID-19. You know, it brought us to our knees and slowed us down. You know, it caused us to remember who is truly in control. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. There's just something about that name, folks. Master. Savior. Jesus. Like the fragrance after the rain. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Let all heaven and earth proclaim. You know, kings and kingdoms will pass away, but there's just something about that name. Hallelujah. Give an honor to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the author and finisher of our faith. To Him we give all praises. Unto Him only do we worship according to the will of God, the one true creator of all things. To Him be power and dominion. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Forever. We come before the Father today in Jesus' name, in thanksgiving, giving praise to God. Glory. Hallelujah. In all His magnificent, all His magnificent glory. Oh, dear God. You have brought America through many trials and tribulations. We just want to thank you today for being a God of your word. You are slow to anger and quick to forgive. Praise God. We have failed you too many times. And yet, and yet you say, Lord, if we would just look up first, believe in you, trust that you are able to supply all our needs. Turn from our wicked ways. Put away false gods. Take them down. Stomp them into powder. Because they have no value. They are the product of men's hands. They have no real presence. And yet, I am around you, even that you are created in my image, says the Lord. You live and you breathe because I am. Hallelujah. The enemy perpetrated this course that has yet to complete, that has yet to completely go away. Let me say this again. The enemy perpetrated this curse that has yet to completely go away. God is the giver of life. America, did you ever stop to think why God allowed this darkness to overshadow us, to overshadow the world and even touch the church? That is because God saw a need for us to be tested. It wasn't anything new. There is nothing new under the sun. It just felt new to this generation. While in the midst of this chaos, we experienced the goodness of God and Jesus Christ, praise God, our Lord and Savior, in a mighty way. He took what the enemy intended for our destruction, our fall, and turned it around for our good. Schools, jobs, even the house of God was closed. We were introduced to wearing a mask supposedly for our safety. Some have caught so-called vaccines were put together in haste, given to people. And the side effects, in many cases, were more than troublesome. Seem to add to the pandemic, the COVID-19 virus. Folks, it's a curse, a famine in the land. Do not settle for it. Keep on praying. Keep fasting. Keep casting down demons, hallelujah, and rebuking Satan, praise God. God is a giver, not a taker. Amen? In Christ, he has given us life and more abundantly. He is a forgiver of sins. Don't forget who the liar, the murderer, and the deceiver truly is. Come on. Come on, folks. History says that on March 11, 2020, the health organizations for the first time called COVID-19 a pandemic. In 2020, life changed across the globe through initially, through initially discovering and let me see if I can say this right. Y'all forgive me for being a little tired, some of you. But this is a Chinese word. So, I might not be able to pronounce it right. Wuhan, I think. It says that though initially discovered in Wuhan, China, in late 2019, COVID-19 entered the conversation in the U.S. in January 2020. When the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention alerted the nation of the outbreak on March 12, 2020. On March 12, 2020, when a community within New Rochelle, New York, was declared to be a containment area, a traditional quarantine order would require individuals presumed to be exposed to stay at home. Okay. This order began to spread and the rest is history. To that degree, anyway. America, we went to our knees. We went to our knees, praise the Lord. We began to look up in fear and trembling, realizing that our backs were pushed against the wall. We were humbled. And that Jesus is the only way out of darkness. He is light and the only one who can turn on the light in us. Praise God. Can I get an amen from somebody? Satan thought he had us. He thought he had us. Man, the house of God is closed. Man, he thought he had us. We remember this is just a place of fellowship. That we might worship the Lord together, but it's a spiritual thing. You hear me, folks? It's a spiritual thing. It is not a physical thing, just a physical thing. It is a spiritual thing. Above all this, modern technology, what a blessing. Pastors took just their cameras and their crew into the house and preached the word of God in the house of God. Some preached and taught the Holy Bible from their living rooms, you know, in their own houses. Facebook, YouTube, podcasters came alive as never before through evangelism. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Families were singing songs to the glory of God in their living rooms, basements. Moms and dads, sisters and brothers, cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends. Praising God. Praising God. Didn't let nothing stop them. Broadcasting on social media, making videos, even on Instagram. Testifying about how good God is. And blessing His holy name in song. Caleb, call in. 700 Club, call in. Hallelujah. During this cursed time, some went home to be with the Lord. Hallelujah. Thank God for heaven. Those of us who await our turn, we honor God with our mind, body, soul, spirit, love, everything that we got. You know, I just don't know. You know, we're like the Wicked Witch of the West in the movie, The Wizard of Oz. Sometimes it seems it takes a house to fall on us for us to show God the attention that He is worthy of. He is God. In and out of season. He is worthy to be praised. He does not cause our problems, but He is truly able to see us through, to take care of us. No matter what the enemy throws at us, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. No, not one. Glory to God. Ephesians 6, 16. Above all, take the shield of faith, for with you shall be able to quench all the fiery dots of the wicked. There has been much going on in this country to add to the chaos. We must remember to pray without ceasing. Keep the faith no matter what. You know, it looks like and by no means do we lean. Okay. Okay. No matter what it looks like and by no means do we lean on our own ways. No matter what, people. No matter what. Jesus. No matter what. That's the wrong thing to do. I know this. I'm stumbling and falling myself. I know this. I've learned. I've learned to be obedient. I've learned to call on the Lord first. Can't nobody do us like the Lord. Proverbs 3, 5, 6. Trusting in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path. That is truth. Things around us have not been the same. Which goes to show you we have to be ready for change. It is not easy, but it is true. God brought families together. Parents could not go to work. It was shut down. Children could not go to school. It was closed down. Parents know their children better, and children know their parents better. They were confined to lockdown. Everyone was at the point where even you couldn't go shopping, you know. We were confined to home. You know, parents had to go to their jobs doing what they had to do to put bread on the table, a roof over their family's heads, clothes on their backs. Sometimes working long hours, two jobs sometimes, you know. And single parents, Lord have mercy. On average, it is hard enough for two parents together. Well, a single parent is just tough. How you know? I bet I can get an amen on that all over the place. Yes. Children in school for eight hours a day. Parents out there at work, eight to 12, and some people in the restaurant business, 16 hours a day. God bless first responders, law enforcement officers, medical personnel. Sometimes they don't even know when they're going home. How on earth are we supposed to know our children? How are children supposed to know their parents under such extreme circumstances as they were? Family is the foundation of life on earth. Even in worshiping God, witnessing from him, it is a family affair. As a person, we each have a testimony. And as a family, God's work makes America strong through family. Hallelujah. Values we stand on. Without family values, we stand on shaky ground when we do not respect the true values of family. You know, people found themselves sitting around the table together, having their meals together, a good time to pray and talk. Parents became teachers of God's word. Now, it is 2023. Some children who attend public school, all their lives are now homeschooled. Folks, I don't blame you. Some parents who used to go out to traditional jobs work from home now so that they can be more a part of their children. Praise God. Families are more involved with one another than ever, than ever I have seen. Praise be unto God. There is still wickedness in the world. God sent Jesus to change that by rescuing people. Amen? The Bible says that everyone who calls on the name of Jesus will be saved. He will bring them in from the fields of sin. Hallelujah! We have experienced God's amazing grace in abundance, people. Don't stop loving Him because He will never stop loving you. He loves those who love Him. It is written in the volume of the book, Proverbs 8, 17. I love those who love me, and those who seek me early shall find me. Thank you, Father God. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation. Deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen and Amen.
