She believes that studying English will make it easier for her to achieve her dream of traveling the world. Interacting with lecturers and colleagues has also helped her learn and practice English. Restu hopes that her story will inspire others to pursue their goals. Welcome to this short broadcast. In this 5 minutes, I want to explain about myself and also about the English major. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Restu Yeri Atika, a 3rd year student in English Department, Politeknik Negeri Padang. I am 21 years old and come from the city of Solok. Now I live in Padang. As part of the English Department, I really want to share about this department. I've been very interested in English since I was in junior high school. I enjoy reading English books and watching English movies. Even though it's not my dream college major, successfully entering the English major was a gift for me. I think this is a fate where I can better hone my English skills. Entering this major made me realize that there are still many things about English that I don't know and I don't understand yet. This major also made me believe that my dream of being able to travel the world one day will be easier to achieve. One of them is by being able to speak English. I see so many experiences of my lecturers who have arrived aboard and have become my own inspiration. Not only that, the interaction with my colleagues on campus has also shaped my English learning skills. I can brainstorm with people my age. More learning in the field of practice makes it easier for me to hone my skills. I can immediately display my English language and can find out how far I am. Not only that, practicing directly with lecturers and other friends is also very fun because I practice my English when communicating directly with other people. Not only learning in class, the practice of English is also held in many ways, such as events, raves, expos, and more. I hope that with me entering this career opened up a great opportunity for me to achieve career success in the future. That's a short story for me. Hopefully what I say can also raise the spirit of our friends to achieve their goals. I will see you on the next podcast. Have a good day.
