The main ideas from this information are: - The Bible warns against a proud look and a proud heart as they are considered abominations to God. - The teachings from the pulpit are meant to correct and improve our lives so that our prayers are not hindered. - A story is shared about a woman who had a dream about a man named Peter Sin Onoja Abu and contacted him for guidance. - The importance of serving God for the right reasons, such as love and relationship, rather than just for results or material blessings. - The danger of having a proud look and a proud heart, as they can hinder our prayers, prevent us from experiencing God's protection, and hinder our entrance into heaven. - Believers should avoid becoming proud, arrogant, or pompous, as it goes against the nature of God and hinders our spiritual growth. Summary: The Bible warns against having a proud look and a proud heart, as they are considered abominations to God and can hinder Proverbs chapter 6 from verse 16 to verse 19. Proverbs chapter 6 from verse 16 to verse what to verse 19. Proverbs chapter 6, I read from verse 16. These six things doeth the Lord eat. Yes, seven are abomination unto him. Number 17, verse 17. Let us read together. One, two, three. A proud look, a lying tongue, an aunt that shed innocent blood, an art that devise wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief. Verse 19 together. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. So we are talking about the abomination of a proud act and a proud look. Where we read in verse 17, the Bible has given us understanding that a proud look is what abomination to God. Let us go to chapter 16 verse 5. Chapter 16 verse 5. Are we there? Verse 5 says, everyone that is proud in art is abomination to the Lord. Though an aunt join in aunt, it shall not be what? Unpunished. Now the reason we are going through this verse of the Bible is to give you the understanding of the danger of a proud look and a proud act. You see, one thing the Lord has blessed the church about is that our teachings come to correct our lives so that our prayers will not be hindered. Our teachings are coming, the teachings coming from the pulpit always come to correct us so that we can have good relationship with God. Our teachings or the teachings coming from this altar, if you can follow these teachings, I promise you, I assure you, you will get to heaven. I remember receiving a phone call from a woman I have never met in my life. She was calling all the way from Suruleri. What is the name? Suruleri. Am I right? So when she called me, I said that she said she's an evangelist. She has a ministry. More than 100 people, if not more than 500 people. I said, okay, why are you contacting me? I thought she wanted to invite me because that figure that was not, I just came for, I went for a program. I was not expecting any invitation. I needed to rest for some time. She said no. She said she doesn't even know me. Praise the Lord. That it was in a dream. She walked to a joint shop. When she walked to a joint shop in the dream, she saw two roads. And on the right road, she saw, you know, if you are traveling, like if you are inside Lagos, you will see one black signpost and they will put the Korodu. Yes, so that was how he saw Peter Sin Onoja Abu. He said he has never seen my name once in life. He doesn't know me. So when he saw the name, he woke up and typed the name Peter Sin Onoja Abu. So that was how eventually he went to Facebook and searched for the name Peter Sin Onoja Abu and he saw me. When he woke up, actually, the Lord told him that he should meet me. I will tell her what she will do. So that was actually a search for my name. And fortunately, I did put my contact. She saw my contact and called me and said, sorry, I don't know you from anywhere. I am coming right now. Where are you? I said, I'm so-and-so place at K2. He said, I am coming now. I said, yes, it's urgent. I don't know you. He said, the Lord told me about you. I don't know you before, sir. And that was when she came. Ah, she's an advanced lady, beautiful. But she had confusion in the area of marriage. She was very confused on whom to what man. So where I was, the office I was, the CEO, sorry, the manager of the office allowed me to use her office. The woman came up from the office. She said, I should carry this, my guest inside to go and use her office on their own days So I had to interview her. I said, okay, what is your problem? I was very shocked that God could reveal my name. Praise the Lord. A man that doesn't have anything. To someone that has time, pick up my shoes. Praise the Lord. What am I trying to tell you? Every truth coming from this altar, if you can embrace the truth, you will be blessed. I'm telling you, if you can follow the teachings we are giving you yet, you will not go to hell. You can't come to this church and you still find yourself in hell. Ah, except you are not serious. The angel of God is here. Forget about what you are saying. Forget the physical structure. Forget that there's no stage light. So as the world is coming, this moment, accept the word, embrace the word, allow it to enter into you. And as you go through this week, practice what you have learned on Sunday. Praise the Lord. So God is giving us a revelation now that it is abomination to have a proud look. Hallelujah. Amen. It is abomination to have what? A proud look. Now we are going to look the meaning of a proud look and a proud heart. And why is it abomination? Because nobody talks about this. If God said it is abomination, it means that number one, these things will hinder your prayers from being answered. If God said it is abomination, number two, it means that these things will stop you from experiencing the protection of God. If God said that it is abomination, number three, it means that these things will hinder you from entering heaven. If this one is so important that God calls it abomination, then we need to study it. Hallelujah. So in today's service, the Lord Jesus Christ will be drawing our attention to something very important and that something that is secretly hindering us and hindering our prayers. Not just only our prayers, the prayers of many believers. And also stopping many from entering heaven. A man of God said that the moment there is no results, people will be discouraged to serve your God. I want to say it here. Look up here. I love that man of God. I appreciate him. I love him so much. He's one of the man that sometimes if I'm going flipping through social media, if he's speaking like this, I will just pause to listen to him. But may I say this to you? If the purpose you are serving Jesus is because of results, go and serve Juju. I know Juju people, they don't do evangelism. Go and what? Go and serve them. If you are serving God because of results alone, if you are not serving God because of relationship, because you want to enter a relationship with him, you want to love him more, you want to know him more. If it is because of God providing bread and butter, that is why you are a Christian. Even God will not trust you. Because the day he decides not to give you some things from a certain period, they will not see you in church. The day he decides not to give you some things from a certain period, they will not see you reading your Bible again. The day he decides not to give you some blessings for a certain period, we will not see you even loving God again. So it is not because of results where I'm a Christian. I've been a Christian for years. If it is because of results, I would have given up. Because I don't have the jews, I don't have everything, I don't have the beauties, I know God has blessed me, but I don't have the things I feel like I should have. But that is not the reason I am serving God. I love him more than all things on earth. That even though I am the poorest of man on earth, I will still love him. So don't serve God because of what you are. He will not trust you. The way God normally deals with me, the moment I begin to trust a thing, he will scatter that thing. Because he doesn't want me to trust any other thing beside him. You know when you start trusting something, you will not be praying to God about it again. You will not be strategizing yourself how to do it and get more, how to put one or two and get a certificate. And the moment God observes that your meal is not far from the ground before him, he will shut that thing off so that you will learn how to pray again. Hallelujah. So you are not serving God because he is providing. Yes, he is a provider, but that is not the reason I'm serving God. That is not the reason I'm serving God. I am serving him because I love him. I am serving him because I have seen his power in my life. Hallelujah. So many people are discouraged because they have been praying and their prayers are not answered. They point different fingers to God, but they never point any finger to themselves. The Bible is revealing to us that a poor look and a poor heart can hinder your prayers from being answered. People don't know that in order for you to enter into the heart of God, you need to know what he likes and what he hates. God is not a boy boy that you can do any harm and try to convince to do something for you. He is more wiser than you. You yourself, it is not difficult for somebody to remove one arm from your pocket. You as a human being yourself, is it not sometimes asked for your children to even convince you or for people to convince you to do something? Is it God you think that God does not have a sense? Is it God that created you? If you can be like that, what about him? You must know his likes and dislikes so that you can be able to win his heart to answer your prayer. He said David is a man after my whole heart. Why? Go and study why. It is more important that the reason God removed King Saul. You studying the reason why God removed King Saul is not important. It is more important to study why God said David is a man after my heart. Study that one more than the one about King Saul. A proud look and a proud heart. Believers are becoming proud. Believers are becoming pompous. Believers are becoming arrogant. Believers, they call themselves believers. Arrogant, proud, pompous. It is not the nature of God. The moment you say you are a Christian, you should not have a proud look and a proud heart. God hates it. The Bible says these six things the Lord hates. Among them is proud look. Even inside the church and even your environment, in your place of work, even the gate man working with you. Praise the Lord. Even the lady that comes to wash your clothes, clean your house, because she is doing that, you cannot even have wisdom to consider that she is first a human being. You knock that person down. It is not the life of a Christian. And these things are hindering our prayers. The church is not looking at these things so that they are telling you that you have to sow seeds. You have to sow seeds, different seeds, beans, rice, yam, and nothing is seeding. And the Bible says, well, you have not done it enough, that there is a seed called provocative seed. They say when you give that seed, even heaven will kiss the earth. And the open Bible for you, it says, Solomon offered one thousand animals. He said, my sister, can you offer one thousand animals? He said, Jesus, but you see, you are not Solomon. One thousand cows is more than a million, but just bring a millionaire and see what God will do for you. This is the same brother that we are seeing that wants to buy something of twenty thousand dollars in the church. And he says, oh my God, I don't have anything to give. They say, brother, carry a cashew nut, brother, a bundle of one million dollars and go and give it to the thief who is on the pulpit. And they will carry it. Now, when they finish sowing all their seeds and they are frustrated, they will not cry to the innocent pastor. You know, innocent pastors always cry. So when they come and tell the innocent pastor, they say, do you know that this or that, the innocent pastor will not enjoy that and cry and cry and cry. When they cry in prayer, when the pastor cries in prayer and pray, pray, pray and God do it again, they will carry their seed and go and give it somewhere else. But when they want to cry again, the pastor will not cry to the point where the pastor will have tears in his eyes. Is that wicked? Praise the Lord. Proud hearts and proud words, look, and that is why God is drawing our attention. I say, this thing within your prayers, that no matter how you pray, I will never answer your prayer as long as this thing is in your life. Let us look what is proud hearts. A proud heart and a proud look are abominations to God and God hates such and would never allow such people to stand in His presence. You are going to know what it is because some of us don't know that it is a sin. We take it for what granted. We feel like this is normal. Hallelujah. So what is a proud heart? A proud heart, this is a heart that is stubborn. A heart that is arrogant, not willing to be corrected and not obedient in nature. Number one is what? Stubborn. Number two is what? Arrogant. Number three, not willing to be corrected. And number four, not obedient in nature. A proud heart will ignore the counsel of God and shut up any that wants to instruct or discipline him or her. So the moment you are about to discipline a proud hearted person, it will exist as a supper, supper, supper. It will not be meat. I just call you pastor. I am a born person like you. You should be saying you want to discipline me. You know, you are the one who put your mask, you know who this is, the talk I am doing. Do you know who I be? It may not be in the church, it may be in your place of work. It may even be in your family. Mummies are about to correct you as a child and you look at mummies and say, begga, begga, begga, I know this mummy killed a kid. As you see me now, I am 20 years. And your mother keeps looking, you know this girl that, when she was small, I gave her a breast and there were many times I beat her on the bumble and she began to cry. And I said, mummy, at that time, this is a new millennial, praise the Lord, that child has a proud heart. The moment you cannot be corrected, God sees you as a proud hearted person. A proud hearted person cannot be corrected. They are stubborn in acts. It is what they want to do that we want them to do. You lie, you preach from now till tomorrow, it is what they want to do that we still do. And believing God called them abomination or abominable is because when you want to destroy them, you will not be able to think twice. Just the way they are stubborn towards Him. So also when you want to destroy them, God will not even have second thought. He will just release them into hell. Proud hearted fellow. So God hates any believer that has a proud heart. Number two, what is a proud look? Proud look, these are those who mock others, look down on others and use their height to belittle others. When you are talking, it will be like this. When you keep talking, you don't finish. They are working with you. Even you, you will start calling yourself a fool for pushing them. Because when you are trying to tell them that what they did to you is not good enough. When you talk and talk, express yourself, you don't finish. They are working with you. When they enter a place, maybe a church like this, our church is beautiful, thank God they are made. Maybe they enter a wooden church where even dust is falling from the up. You know someone that only speaks news. Please, pastor, please, can you give me one of the pastor's shirts, I can't sit down yet. Proud look. And when they go to hell, there is no body in hell that is richer than the poorest man on earth. The poorest man on earth is richer than the poorest, than any richest man in where? In hell. So a proud look person, they look you with their eyes to harmonize you. Who is talking? Who is talking? Praise the Lord. And this thing happens in the society. It happens everywhere. They look you down with their eyes. Who is the one talking? Maybe because they have money. Or maybe because they are in different classes. Who is talking? What do you have? I was teaching them about loneliness. I said the reason most of the brothers become lonely and commit suicide is because of this devilish nature of looking down on one another. So the moment there is a proud look, you will look down as if the person is excreted, feces. You will be looking the person so low. And that is why we are talking about it because it is the nature of the devil. You cannot do that in heaven. No body looks down on one another in heaven. So if you are doing that, you are not qualified for where? For heaven. Hallelujah. Are you following? So it is important we consider this because number one, God is not happy with such people. Number two, such people will keep being tormented by demons. I remember I was in Port Harcourt and I went for evangelism. God so kind I was in a very big city in Port Harcourt there. When you go there, you know there are big, big people. The other way we have Lurkey who eats a lot. And when I was pushing to one woman selling at the roadside, behold, I gazed at a woman who came out from a car and the Lord spoke to me that this was her problem, I should go and tell her. Because at that time, thank God now I have more flesh in my body. Because at that time, if you see me, you will know that this man just came down from the mountain. Not because I went to the mountain but because there is nothing to cover the flesh. And when I approached this woman who happened to be the former wife of, I mean, happened to be the wife of the former governor of a particular state, thank you Kitty. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. The governor married many wives. So she happened to be one of the wives but things became so bad after some years that she had to relocate. Maybe the other wife didn't accept her because of tribal differences, I don't know. But she was now in Port Harcourt. When I approached her, the way she looked me down, even me, I was scared to speak out anything. She said, what? I said, I'm very sorry, ma'am. She said, what? Do you know me? Anything? I said, sorry, the Lord sent me to you. God sent you to me. I said, let me go. I'm out of time. I said, the Lord said I should tell you this, this and that. As I kept talking, that was when she became quiet. She kept listening. And that was when she started crying. If not because I had the courage to keep talking, I would have run away. For example, she has already estimated everything that I put up to 5,000 Naira. Are you with me? I said, who is this one talking to me? You see, some of us will miss the blessings of God because of a proud look. Look down on somebody. Use your eyes to steal the person and throw the person away. The Bible says that such is an abomination to whom? To God. Such is what? Abomination to God. So before we go, let us look at the signs of a proud heart and a proud look. So that we can close. Signs or the marks. The things you need to see to know that there is a proud look or a proud heart in you. Number one. Refuse not to do righteous instruction. And you are stubborn to authority. Refuse not to do what? Righteous instruction. When they instruct you to do something. When they instruct you to do something. Your father, your mother, your pastor, your boss. The thing he asks you to do is not a sin. And you refuse. You say, sir, I cannot do this. Maybe they ask you that. Okay, please go and bring something outside the company. Sorry, the company has a problem. You say, sir, I cannot. You look at your boss. You look at the secretary. The person that is higher than you in position. And you say, I cannot. You say, sir, I cannot do it. And for them to behave to be humble. They will say, with all due respect, they will disrespect you. Are you with me? In all due respect, they are disrespecting you. They say, I cannot do it. That means that such a person has a proud heart. The moment you are disobedient to daddy, mommy. Despite the fact that mommy is talking to you. Daddy is talking to you. It is still what you want to do. You are doing. You are a proud child. And you are not far from destruction. But I find that every child that disobeys their parents. Some of them are in territory. Some of them are living out in the streets. Some of them are frustrated. They are drinking, smoking. Because when they should have listened to daddy and mommy. They thought they knew it all. Before you came into this world, people have been resisting. And they are telling you that they know the pathway to destruction. If you follow this way, you will destroy your life. You say, I forgot about that. I am not listening to you. So if you cannot be instructed. And you do it with all simplicity and humility. You have a proud heart. You are not responding. You have a what? A proud heart. Number two. Refuse not to condescend to those lower than you in society class. Refuse not to condescend to those lower than you in what? Society what? Class. Praise the Lord. When you see that this set of people do not have money. You cannot what? Mingle with them. Praise the Lord. That will not put in this church. Amen. And no, I will fight against it. Whereby in this church we will not have the rich people club. We will not have the poor people what? There is no poor man here. Any man you meet in this church, they are in the process. Say they are in the process. Any woman you meet in this church, they are in the what? They are in the process. They are in the process. So, any time you come to this church and you see somebody suffering. Don't think that will matter. Nobody you meet in this church that is poor. They are only journeying through what? Life. When you are going to If you are going to East. Do you stop at Ore? Imagine somebody in Ore and I saw you. Maybe you are very good pack at Ore to eat and people to eat themselves. And they say, ah! Look at you. Look at you like this. You have no where you are coming from. They cannot judge you by what you put on the where. Ore. Ore is not my destination. My destination is the East. So, when you meet somebody here and it appears the person is struggling to eat in this church. Don't look down on that person. Because the person you are looking down can feed you and your family ten times tomorrow. It is between five years. Just five years difference. When the person gets there, you will be the one to talk to that person. Many of us today are regretting what we saw some years ago. That somebody came to clean your house because it was homeless. And you were shouting at that person to dinner. You and that person cannot talk. And the person now is in authority enjoying from the government. You cannot beg to submit your city because you know that there is an issue. Don't judge your way. And that person is struggling. Don't judge that person by that time. Everybody is journeying to where? To somewhere. Even as you see me as a pastor. I may not have a car today. Even if you give money for a car, there are many people who want to use money for a car. I don't like expensive cars. If I am a banana meat man, your money or your life is there. Even the car. This is my life. Because if you want to collect a car, and in my life, that is the equivalent. And that somebody dashed me. Praise the Lord. So when you meet somebody going to a destination, if you meet David in the forest killing deer, don't look down on David. The way he kills deer, he will kill Goliath one day. We easily write off people. We easily talk down on people. Because they are not where they are supposed to be. They don't know that they are getting to their throne. If you meet Joseph in prison, don't write him off. Because in the next few years, he will be in the palace. The people you meet here, and you meet in this church, I know the church is not for everybody. I wish everybody is around, but people are pursuing what they will eat. So I am not against them, if they are not here today. When you meet somebody in this church, and you see that person is wearing one-one, one-one together, one-one jeans, one-one jeans, one-one jeans, or one-one together, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, or the person in the back shirt here, That spirit is a bad spirit. Praise the Lord. Amen. Are you following? Your Amen is not loud enough. Let it be louder. Let it be louder. Okay. Number three, wanting to do something loud for everybody to be aware that you are responsible and to take note. This happened in the church. Praise the Lord. I was about to do something in the church. I remember somebody called me. He said the pulpit he bought for the church is not seen on the altar. Why? I said I thought you are not with us again. You know the pulpit? This pulpit. You know when we came in we were using what? We don't know what. One of our night of wonders, we chanted it online. This person said he is not coming here again, but was watching our program. At the next time I received a phone call. Oh God! I am not seeing it on the altar. I said how did you know? We came for peace to him. We carried the pulpit. I came and put it there. If you are watching our video, come and be seen in your pulpit. Praise the Lord. So some people want to do something to be loud. And when they do it, they want to control you to make sure that what they do is established. It is a proud act. You are helping the poor. You are helping the poor. Your help goes with conditions. As long as you are helping that poor person, that person does not have personal decisions again. Hallelujah. The moment the person do his own will, you will call that person. You will say what is wrong with you? Do you know how much I pay to train your children in school? Why do you do this without letting me know? You become a tyrant. You are helping someone you don't want the person to be free. It is receiving your help, but it is under bondage. It shouldn't be like that. You are not helping people for them to help you. It is not an investment when you are investing in them and you are expecting a return on investment. It is a proud act. So you don't know that it is a proud act, but these things are hindering your work, your prayer. You supported somebody to get married because they were not able to get married. Now because they have got to marry, you made yourself a God that must know what is happening with the marriage. To the point whereby if they say they want to give birth to 3 children or 10 children and they come to you and say who permitted you to her? Do you know what it takes me to finance your wedding? You must talk about the wedding that you used to help them. Are they? Oh God, let them find your money and give it to you. I want to be free. How will you help a man when a man is not free again in his life? Because you are helping. It is a proud look. It is a proud act. Some help you are calling help is actually a siege. It is a bondage in disguise. Hallelujah. And this is something we should pray against and warn against. It is not good. Even some of us that are helpers in our family, we use that against the children. I mean, sorry, our younger ones in the family. Maybe you are the first born, second born, or you are the fifth born, but there are 10 children beside you or behind you. You use that proud look. How much life, how much are you? If they talk, why do they talk? Not be you, I carry, I clean your bum bum. What, okay, what bring that time? Somebody clean your own bum bum. They will tell us how they dealt with you two. But when there is pride there, what comes is oppression. What comes is what? It's oppression. And that is sin. These things interplay us. When you are looking down on somebody, God does not see that you are good at that person. What God sees is that you are breaking His law. And He will use it against you. Hallelujah. Sometimes it goes, somebody calls me in their car. Now, I've entered many, many cars. I know by the grace of God, He will give you a car. I have prayed for cars, different cars. Those people, I don't even know that they exist in the cave. I've prayed a lot. So, when I entered the car, yes, honor was given to me. But I told myself, I will never enter this car again, or that particular person. You know why? The person, the member they wanted to carry inside, you see they were shouting. Mother, tell your picky to sit down. The picky want to scratch the car. But me, that they carry out the front, they respected me. When I see that my member, they were not giving respect. Right there inside the car, my face was not changed. I was not smiling again. So, they were putting stones. The guy was discussing with me. I said, if you honor me, and you are just any little thing, madam, oh, he will park the car. He will come and go to that place. I won't put it down. No. May not scratch this car now, madam. Huh!
