Hello and welcome to the Anthropocene Review, a podcast where we review different phases of human-centered planets on a 5-star scale. I'm Justin and today I will be reviewing Formula 1. What you just heard is from Kimi Räikkönen, a famous F1 driver at Anbu Harpy Grand Prix in 2012. Kimi took the lead after Ludwig Hamilton suffered an engine failure. The Finland driver had to manage his pace to keep Fernando Alonso behind. Räikkönen's brain engineer gave him updates on his speed compared to Alonso, but then Kimi shut down his engineer, saying, Kimi Räikkönen definitely knew what he was doing. He went on to claim his 1993 win and Lotus' first podium of the season. There aren't many people on earth who can keep their head cool while driving at 370 kmph while other drivers are sometimes just a few inches behind. This is what made F1 drivers uniquely amazing. It is the pinnacle of speed, skill, and glamour, contested by the most talented drivers and the world's top manufacturers like Mercedes, Ferrari, or McLaren. The greatest engineers of F1 have innovated existing technology, taken it to a new level, and broke the old limit. Sometimes, it can even change the world. F1 engineers have adopted a technology called Hybrid. Hybrid allows increasing the engine power while making the engine smaller. This technology can increase the vehicle range and power significantly, while saving fuel and reducing emissions. A great example to show the power of the Hybrid technology is the new 1.6-liter V6 engine. Using the Hybrid technology can produce more than 1,000 horsepower. The Hybrid not only applies on cars but also on bikes to help the city win. Six months ago, while I was surfing YouTube, I found a highlight video about F1 racing. It seemed from that moment, I was drawn into the world of F1 and become the lover of this sport. Seeing talent racers pushing their car to the limit, it captured my attention and curiosity. From there, I spent time learning about the history of F1 and the best drivers in the history of the sport. Every F1 race brings intense and exciting emotions to me. Since then, F1 has become one of my favorite sports and brings deep joy to my life. In my opinion, Formula 1 deserves high recognition as one of the greatest sports on this planet. The sport has always aimed to innovate, pushing the technology called R32 in order to find the wicked route to victory, taking everything into consideration. I would give Formula 1 a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.
