"Anno Domini 2071" is a steampunk utopian novelette written by Pieter Harting, under the pseudonym Dr. Dioscorides. Originally published in 1865 under the title "Anno 2065", the book had to be revised multiple times due to the rapidly changing world at the time. The version we have in the catalogue is the 1870 edition "Anno 2070" recorded in Dutch, which was later translated into English and published as "Anno Domini 2071" in 1871. The book offers a glimpse into the author's vision of what the world could be like 50 years in the future. However, it is important to note that the book is not free from racial defects.
