Pauline Crane emphasizes the importance of creating a space that reflects our personality and lifestyle. Welcome to All Things The Treasure Coast. My name is Pauline Crane. I'm a real estate agent with Keller Williams of The Treasure Coast. Today we're going to talk about interior design, living rooms. 2024 is trending to even more comfort from our home these days and ultimately we want it to be a space that reflects who we are and how we live. 1. Vintage pieces, artisans, and heirlooms. Furniture and decor inspired or made in the not-so-recent past is a must-have living room feature in 2024. 2. Eclecticism, embracing authenticity. As a result of our desire to create an authentic, personal space, living rooms are expected to take an eclectic turn in 2024. Eclectic style is all about mixing the old with the new while combining different styles and motifs. Making different elements work together is to find a unifying element which you can repeat with color, pattern, and texture. 3. Texture, texture, texture. Layering texture is used to add depth and interest to a space. Choose a wide range of material furnishings for your living area. Hard, soft, reflective mat, and mix with soft furnishings. 4. Warm color palette. A warm color palette like yellow, orange, or red undertones make a calmer, more welcoming environment. Warmer neutrals like beiges, creamy off-whites, and rich browns and tans are in. Mixing different tones and textures and patterns creates a layered look that can be used year-round. 5. Bold colors and patterns. Bold colors are used everywhere in the house, from on the walls to furnishings, appliances, decor, and art. This year is the perfect time to use a wide range of prints and textures, wallpaper, to show off your personality. My name is Pauline Crane. I'm a resident, homeowner, and realtor on the Treasure Coast. Thanks for watching.
