Dogs have interesting facts, like Queen Elizabeth having 30 corgis and dogs liking squeaky toys due to their hunting instincts. Dogs have three eyelids and "corgi" means dwarf dog in Welsh. Some dark facts include a popular dog to eat called narangi, deaths during the making of the movie Milo and Otis, and a dog earning a master's degree. Dogs can even be mayors, with a town in California having a dog mayor. Chihuahuas live the longest despite being aggressive, and dogs only sweat through their feet. The Basenji breed yodels instead of barking. Dogs can also smell human emotions. The biggest litter of puppies was 24 from a Mastiff. That's all about dogs. So, I am talking about some things about dogs, as dogs are interesting and I think there's a lot of unique facts you can find out about them, and I'll be listening, listing some of those facts here today on this podcast. I'll be starting off with the crazy amount of numbers that Queen Elizabeth had dog-wise throughout her ruling. A whopping 30 different corgis from day one of her ruling have been with her throughout her life. Queen's dogs, there are other unique facts you can find, such as why dogs like squeaky toys so much. It dates back to their earlier evolutionary species, where they used to hunt for food. Dogs, house dogs in particular, came from, of course, wild dogs of those species, such as wolves and things like that. It's natural for them to enjoy the idea of the squeak because that squeak reminds them of hunting in the sound of their prey. As gruesome as it sounds, it may be cute to watch, but the idea of it is not very cute. As well, this may make a lot of people uncomfortable to know, but just to get in your head, apparently dogs have three eyelids. Don't know where the other two are, don't want to know where the other two are, just accept that fact and move on with your life so it doesn't bother you. More about corgis, actually. Corgi is Welsh for dwarf dog, which fits the name quite perfectly for what it is, as you can't get more dwarfier than a corgi. And here's a more disturbing fact, just to throw in all those fun facts. The most popular dog to eat worldwide is a narangi. It's a white, fluffy dog that's apparently very popular to eat. Some of you also might know the movie Milo and Otis, how it's a story about two best friends who live in a farm, one of them being a pug, another one being an orange cat. So in the making of that film, at least one dog drowned in that film, while 30 cats died in the making of that film. Some fell off cliffs, some got eaten by bears, some also drowned, so very dark within the story. And some dogs are even smarter than people, as in, degree-wise, because there is a dog called Kircht, the service dog who earned a master's degree in mental health just for attending all of his owner's classes. And even dogs can be better suited for political spots, as there is a town in the US, there's multiple actually, but this one is in Ittlewild, California, where a dog is a mayor of the town. Actually, multiple times, many dogs within this family have, this family of dogs throughout the generation, have been running this town, as well as the vice is also a dog. And there's another neat fact, if you ever wondered what the longest living dog is, it is, unfortunately, a Chihuahua, by the fact that they are probably one of the most aggressive dogs, by statistics, they also have to be the longest living. And by the fact that, you would think that dogs would sweat quite a bit from the amount of fur they have, but no, they can't sweat, only the place they sweat, and only, and just this one spot, is the bottom of their feet. No other circumstances, no other excuses, that's always what it is. There's also a very unique dog breed, of the 400 that we have, that have, one of them is called the Basenji, but what's so unique about this breed, is it actually yodels, because it's not capable of barking. The closest thing it can get to is a howl that sounds similar to a yodel, and who doesn't want a yodeling dog, I mean, wouldn't it be fun to just hear that? Every day? All day? Apart from that, dogs can smell your feelings, so don't be sad for your dog, because it can smell your feelings, and say that it is in fact a true fact. And one of the last facts I'm going to tell you today, is that one of the biggest litter of puppies ever had by a singular dog, in one go, was 24 puppies from a Mastiff. And that just sounds like a handful, or a pawful, however you want to call it, and that is just all about dogs. On that note, I'm going to finish up this podcast, and leave it to the next person to tell you whatever they have to tell about. You have a great day, and I hope you have a great night.
