Mr. Martinez discusses online resources for math classes. He mentions YouTube, which has a wide range of content that is visually appealing and easy for students to understand. FunBrain is another website that uses games to reinforce learning. BrainPop is a website that offers interactive videos on various topics. Mr. Martinez also talks about the importance of bookmarking websites for easy access. He ends by asking if we will ever reach a point where all classroom work is done online. Good morning, and welcome everyone. Thank you for joining me today. My name is Mr. Martinez, and today we are going to be talking about online resources for math classes. Our question of the day is, what online tool is there that can benefit both teachers and the students? And you're in luck today, because I am going to be talking about a few here. Keep in mind, some of these resources may work better than the others, depending on your students' interests. So the very first online resource that I am going to be talking about is one that everyone has probably heard about, which is YouTube. I love YouTube for its wide range of content that it has, such as having videos about gaming, vlogging, education, and way more. The reason that I chose this resource is because of its effect in the classroom. This website brings visuals and audio to the content that makes the content super easy for the students to digest. It also reinforces the concepts by captivating the students' attention. This resource is also super user-friendly, such as it being easy to work and having a child protection setting. The next website that I am going to talk about is FunBrain. I really like FunBrain because of its use of games and how they build on what they have learned in the class. The games on this website also touch up on all subjects. I remember using FunBrain when I was in school and it was super interactive and it really helped. This is a website that is better used after the content has been taught because of what I said earlier, the games will build off of the content that was presented in the class. The last free online website that has lessons over a variety of school and life-related topics is BrainPop. This website turns its content into videos that are broken down for the students. I really like BrainPop because of how it uses videos and how it's interactive with the students when it comes to the content part. Although these websites may be easy for some students to remember, there are those who will quickly forget the names of these websites. So before we move on, we are going to quickly talk about bookmarking. Bookmarking is a trick that people use in order to save a website or a resource to use for later. This trick makes it really easy for people to quickly access that website that they may have forgotten. Now that we have talked a little bit about online resources and bookmarking in the class, do you think that we will ever reach a period where we will only do online work in the classroom? Thank you for listening today. I hope you learned something from my video and I will see you next time.
