Nathanael Ling completed his bachelor's degree in social science (communication studies) in 2011 and his master of music in 2017 at Hong Kong Baptist University. He also finished his postgraduate diploma in education in 2017 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently an ethnomusicological Ph.D. candidate at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, working on Okinawan music, indigenization, diaspora, nationalism, structure and subjectivity.
