Please listen to The Nate Sprott Show for the latest rambling monologue about culture, technology, theology, and government with conspiracy theories galore. Follow me on X for the latest @NateSprott
The speaker discusses their experience with the X platform and how it has evolved over time. They appreciate the freedom of expression on the platform but also value having some rules. They mention their preference for muting rather than blocking people they disagree with. They talk about the potential for gaining followers and the addictive nature of posting on the platform. The speaker also discusses their political views, mentioning their transition from being liberal to conservative. They express concerns about societal changes, particularly related to gay rights and transgender issues. They argue for the importance of a solid foundation, such as religion, in guiding individuals' understanding of their identities. I like the X platform. I used to not. I had a Twitter account. I actually think it was my name, but this was years ago. For whatever reason, I think I lost my password. I couldn't get into it. Anyway, I think I deleted that. I came back on Twitter, well, it turned to X, because when Elon bought it, I was inspired. I was like, all right, I don't have to really worry about what I say. I don't intend to be offensive. I'm very blunt, but I have morals and I have boundaries. That's probably my biggest complaint with sites like Gab. Well, I understand what they're doing. I get it, and I'm not mad about it. I don't want Gab shut down. More power to them. I just personally don't care to be on there, because I do need some rules, just in order for it to even be worthwhile to be on a platform. I do want a platform that's going to allow you to be very edgy, even if I don't like it. There's plenty of things on this platform I don't always like. I don't care. All right? It's not in your face enough for me to really care, and there's enough volume on X for me to find interesting people and then block people, or I actually mute. I don't block. I think I do have some people blocked, but generally I mute. It's a lot nicer, because I'm not mad at the person. It's just I don't want to see their content. They're probably really great people, and I'm sure they have people that really enjoy their content. It's just not content I really care about seeing. I think a lot of people on X, and maybe this comes from jealousy, you see them posting things that you post it. You post something so similar, yet their post gets millions of views, or hundreds of thousands. It doesn't have to get even millions, but hundreds of thousands of impressions of something you said on your timeline, and they didn't steal it from you. They didn't even see it. It's just people think alike. Their platform enables that, and that's common. You really shouldn't, I don't think, get mad about that, because it's not their fault. It's not their fault that people are gravitating to them. Obviously, I got to figure out what I'm doing. Why do I have only 1,600 followers, but at the same time, I probably really only got like 800, because they're probably half bots. You know, unless the bot DMs you, sure, go ahead, be a bot. You make my numbers look good. I really appreciate, if you're listening to this, thank you for listening. I appreciate it. I never, I figured I can't go to Hollywood. I could, but no, I'm 44 years old, and that ship hasn't sailed, but I don't, I'm not going to do that. All right? I guess I don't want it that much, but of course, who wouldn't want to have their own show? Why not? I like to talk. I like to ramble. So, and this is a cool platform to ramble, have my own show. Now, I think, now, I like spaces. Don't get me wrong. Spaces are amazing. I think it's one of the reasons why the government literally hates this platform, is that you can get, you know, Alex Jones, the Tate brothers, hell, I mean, Edward Snowden, any, just think of people that the government literally hates. You can get all of these influential figures, put them together in a space where it's live. You're hearing their thoughts live, the dangerous, the dangerous thoughts. And pretty much the government wishes they could shut it down. They can wish they could shut X down like a crack house. They don't want it, but they're stuck with it for now. If we don't allow our freedoms to get hijacked from us, it's interesting that you can have all these influential figures together, and you can add your voice, and that's power right there for just someone like me in Iowa, who, listen, I haven't really, I'm not some influencer. I'm just some person in Iowa with the Internet and a microphone. And I just get on here and make my presence known, because that's what we're all doing on X. We're making our presence known. Now, I did hear that, oh, what was it, that so many people really don't post anything on X. That's strange to me. It feels like there's a lot of action going on some days more than others, but especially the weekends. The weekends, there's always a lot of action going on. And I really, sometimes you get addicted. You get addicted to writing, but you don't want to get into some kind of battle. I try to stay out of that. If you realize, I don't really read comments, or comment back, or freaking can't even think, reply. I don't even really reply much, especially if it's stupid. Now, if I respect your conversation, I'll probably reply. But if I don't respect your conversation, I'm probably not going to say anything. And that can, that's not always constant. I'm full of nuance. If you don't know that, realize it. I have plenty of nuance to go around. Obviously, if you do follow my tweets, my posts, I'm fairly conservative. I'm fairly conservative. I used to be liberal. I've pretty much been conservative all my life, minus just a few years where I was pretty liberal. I think I was trying to fit in. I was working for an organization that was extremely liberal. I kind of got promoted a couple times. My history in life has been very tumultuous, to say the least. To say the least. So I'm very thankful even to be here, to even be able to make my presence known, which is cool. But I've been extremely blessed as well. And I think I found this job. It was pretty good. I got promoted a couple times and really fell into the whole liberal mission. I think they weren't really promoting DEI at the time. It was kind of really new. It was a novel idea in the workplace anyway. This is several years ago. But the media can really, really just do a number on you. And if you were around a similar type of people, birds of a feather type of thing, you will morph into that. Because I'm so glad I'm not. And I love people. And maybe that's a curse. It's kind of like gay marriage. You know, years ago, I would have thought, well, there's nothing wrong with that. It's not me. Do I believe it's sin? Sure. You know, I grew up Christian. I've studied Christian theology for years. Not a theologian or anything, but, you know, what do they call that? Armchair? Probably like an armchair theologian. At least I think so. But I was like, whatever. We live in the United States, okay? We're not a Christian country, so to speak. We are because the majority of people are Christian or at least profess Christianity. But personally, you know, I want people to be happy. And I think when the gay marriage debate was going on, whatever. Get married. Go. That's fine. I want you to be happy, right? And that's cool. But it doesn't end there. You see that since the gay marriage thing came out, you know, once society started allowing it to be socially acceptable, well, that's when we kind of went backwards in this society. We are seeing things that we've never seen before. You know, naked people in parades. What is going on? The whole trans thing is just getting out of hand. Kids think that they're non-binary. Kids think little boys think they're little girls, and little girls think they're little boys. You know what? If you had parents that would discipline these children and speak truth to these children, you wouldn't have a society that doesn't have any purpose. They don't know who they are. No one's providing the purpose. The church provides a purpose. And the church assists the government to provide a purpose. But then the government pushes church away, and we have to be so careful not to offend somebody. We become weak because we lose a purpose. We use a united front. We need to have that. And here's the thing. We live in a nation that's primarily Christians, or if you ask, they would identify. If you gave people a choice, you have to pick a faith. Which faith? Christianity, Islam, Judaism. Of those three, most people are going to pick Christian if they had no other choice. So here's the thing. We're pretty much a Christian nation. We are a Christian nation. The government doesn't have a religion, but by default, we are. But we're allowing things to take place in society that shouldn't be. And it's fine if it's there. No one cares. Most people don't care if you're gay. Most people aren't. I don't care. Live your life. Be happy. But then it turns into a month. You know, it turns into every day there's a different way to fly a gay flag. And that's, I think, what people have issues with. It's like, it's okay, but who cares? Dude, stop. And there's going to be people uncomfortable with that. And you can't expect people to be comfortable. And then they're going to call you a bigot if you're not comfortable speaking about gay sex. No one wants, there's people that do, but I personally don't. Because we know what this all is about. It's about gay sex. And it's thinking disgusting. No one talks about, well, people do. Listen, it's just, I know we beat this to death. We really do. I was reading a long thread by this guy, Chad Felix Green. I encourage you to read it. Obviously, a gay guy talks about, and this is kind of graphic. So he talks about, every man I had sex with when I was 14 knew I was 14 beforehand. It pretty much goes on a long, several thread posts about grooming, essentially. Because in society, we have, it's pretty much assumed that if you're a boy, you're going to be attracted to girls and girls to boys. It's just assumed. It's not really assumed. Parents probably do now, and this is part of the problem. Because lots of kids, they're trying to figure out who they are sexually. We've all gone through this. Adults go through it. But you need to have something solid. And that's also where face ties in. If you have something solid to ground you, like, wait a minute, wait a minute. This is not good. Why am I having these thoughts? Kids have weird thoughts all the time. They're going through a crazy stage. Lots of chemicals going off, creating all kinds of reactions. So it's common sense to not mess with them at that age. And you've got to be the ones to lead and guide them. You can't let the kids lead and guide you. That doesn't work that way. Now, they're going to want that, and it's going to be difficult to handle because they're growing into adults that are going to lead and guide themselves and then lead and guide others, which is wild. But think about it. That was you. And I'm 44 years old. So yes, that was me, you know, 30 years ago. Wow, I'm old. 30 years ago, I was 14. Good night, dude. Good night. I started saying good night a lot lately. I don't know. Anyway, read this, guys. Chad Felix Green, at Chad Felix G. All lowercase. I'm not going to read through it. It's fairly lengthy and a lot of content. I'm not really... I don't really like to repeat. And that's the thing. It's eye-opening because I don't really like to repeat talking about gay sex. It's just something I wish... Anyway, I'm going to be done. So there's this guy also that I follow, Alex Finn. This guy is very inspirational. If you haven't followed... If you are not following Alex Finn, you must follow Alex Finn. He's always talking about ways to succeed in the X-verse. It's all about game theory. Follow the new rules. Here's his new rules. I'm going to... This is Alex Finn. Go follow Alex Finn X. I actually used to be Thoughtcrime03, Mindcrime. Well, Alex actually got me to... He inspired me to use my real name. I just got tired of, how do you present yourself? And personally, if you've listened to 18 and a half minutes of me rambling, I appreciate you. You're the best. But here's the thing. I want to be authentic. I'm just a voice out there. You're a voice out there. And we're all trying to help each other out. There's this new motto at the church that I go to. Actually, a church I'm a member of, is love God, love people, make disciples. And for me, personally, we're all disciples. And we think it's the pastor's job to do ministry. Or, oh, that's their... They're into ministry. What do you mean? It's not an option. Ministry is not an option. It's your duty. Your duty is to live a life of ministry. And it's not going to be what people think. Okay? You don't have to go around like a nun. You're just a human being. But you live your life conscious of your faith and conscious of Christ in you. And you're not always going to live up to the perfect ideal of what people think Christianity should look like. But you can get close. Anyway, totally got off topic. I'm going to probably re-listen to this, but I can't go back now. I'm already 20 minutes in. Anyway, it's not as easy to sit here and talk on this microphone as you may think. You may think just rambling on is just super easy. It's not. It's really not. I suppose if you just continue to say that over and over. So Alex Finn here, New Rules, be an insane reply guy. This is something I've really not been doing lately in my numbers show. But I've been caring less. I've been caring less. Bots still add me as friends. And if they continue to add me at about 10 a day, shoot, I'll be at 10,000 followers before long. More images and video. Hey, what you're seeing here. So hopefully this gets a boost. I don't know what kind of AI they're running. I don't know if they're going to be able to understand my voice based on what I download. But I bet you they can. I wouldn't see where they couldn't. So boost this, mother. Prioritize getting replies over retweets. Read tweets. Sure. Hot takes that make people want to quote post you. Yes. Using spaces to build deeper relationships. And it's something that I need to do. I need to build deeper relationships. I get, what is that? I hate it when I struggle for words when I'm recording. But I get self-conscious when I get on spaces. And I think we all do. I think that's part of being stagefright. So people are just deathly stagefright, frightened. And I think that gives people that want to be content creators. Because a content creator can't be stagefright. You can't be. So even those of us that don't have big names that really, you know, we haven't really gotten picked up by an audience yet. Even us, we're not stagefright. We don't mind getting on stage. But we've got to kind of, at least me, with spaces, I like to listen to spaces. Since I don't have a huge following, it's almost like it's not worth it. But it is. It is worth it. And it's something I need to do. Because most big accounts by folks who aren't famous in the mainstream, and they're famous online and the subcultures, they use spaces. And most importantly, personality. Your competition on here is boring as fur, you know. X is about game theory. Follow the new rules. Cool. Well, thanks, Alex. Really appreciate your insight. Yeah. What about Trump? I know it's on the news a lot, so might as well talk about it. Not sure. I think he's going to win. I think it's going to surprise everybody. I really do. I think Trump is going to win. I think he's going to surprise everybody. Or, I don't know. Do they hate him so much that... that... Do they hate him so much that JFK comes to mind? That's scary. I mean, they hated JFK. No, it's sad. There's no way Oswald was a lone shooter, if he was even a shooter at all. I think with Trump, he has the momentum. He has a lot of momentum. You have Biden. Biden right now is at Camp David doing a full seven-day retreat before this debate. It's 81 years old, man. That's not a good age to be the president of anything. And I'm not... I know he's lived his life. But honestly, if it wasn't for knowing Kamala Harris would be president, you know, I think more people would be hoping that Biden hangs on for at least these next few months. I think people are worried about a Kamala Harris presidency because it's so out of the blue. It's like this woman that never pulled well, she got tore apart by Tulsi Gabbard during the debates years ago. So nobody wants her really. And I hate to say it, but she was a DEI hire. You know, she was hired to be the vice president because she's a woman, because she's a minority. And she's half Indian. And her family, I think, don't quote me, you have to look it up. But I think her ancestors had some connection with the slave trade in Jamaica. So it's not like she comes from some... She's not poverty. You know, I think when people get into race as far as, you know, being the first Black American, African American to do this or that, it's always a first. The first here, first there, first everywhere. Anyway, I think for Black Americans, and I could be totally wrong, it's a money thing. You know, there's not a lot of wealth, you know, in the hood. There's just not. Maybe there is, but I don't think so. So when you see, it's people of wealth, intelligence, money, really, you don't need to be that smart. And I'm not trying to get, I don't know, I don't know. It's interesting. And I try, I try to look at all sides. I really do. So when I say DEI hire, it's nothing against, it's not racist. I mean, it could be to some people, but I don't think it is. It's more of an observation. I'm observing that the only reason, one of the big reasons you picked Kamala to be vice president is because she's a woman. And because she has, she's a minority. But I don't even like to look people, look at people as minorities. I don't like to. What I do, I try my very best to be colorblind. I really do. Now, I know I'm speaking to an Asian, a black person, a white person. A black man, a Mexican woman, whatever. You get my point. I know that. But what I try to do is communicate with no differences. Now, there's always bias. Everyone has bias. And I'm not being woke when I say that. I'm just being human. I'm just being real. I'm just being authentic. You know, I want to live in a society with different races. I would rather live in a society where we all got along and we tried to figure things out without one side feeling ripped off. Because that's kind of how it feels. And it feels like there's such tension and such a divide. And there really doesn't need to be. It doesn't need to be. We can work this out. We really can. I think talking about it, having fun with it, not being worried about overly offending someone. You know if you're being blatantly racist. You know that. But you should not hold against people for just expressing their true selves, even though some of that may come across racist. They're not having to censor themselves because they don't mean anything other than what their worldview is. And maybe they'd be willing to change a bit. I don't know. You got to hear people out. You definitely do. You definitely do. There's many sides to these situations. And we're in a lot of interesting new... We're in a new world. Or are we? You know, King Solomon, there's nothing new under the sun. Anyway. Anyway, so once I got the juices flowing here, over 30 minutes of rambling has went by. And I don't know how much processing power my computer can handle. So I'm going to finish this show here. This was fun. I'm going to continue to do this. I'm going to try. Because I write a lot. I enjoy writing. I enjoy writing articles. It takes up a lot of time, especially when you're making the video. Everything is... Everything's mine. I don't... I don't... I have some software. I use software and that's about it. But everything's original. At least 99%. All right. Well, God bless everyone. I appreciate you listening. If you want to, share this. This is... I only post to AXE at the moment. Thought about YouTube. Thought about Rumble. Right now, just focus on building an account here. If you're not following me, follow me, please. I'm always trying to put content out. All right. God bless.
