Florida has a long coastline with famous beaches like Cocoa, Siesta, Clearwater, South Beach, and Daytona Beach. The sand on these beaches is made of coarse particles and broken shells from sea life. Some of these beaches are home to mangroves, which we talked about in our last podcast. Florida's 825 miles of coastline includes beautiful beaches like Cocoa, Siesta, Clearwater, South Beach, and the beach labeled world's most famous, Daytona Beach. Much of the sand on these beaches is made of coarse particles and broken down segments of shells from crustaceans and other sea life. Some of these beaches are where you can find the important mangrove species that we discussed in our last podcast.
