Nikki, a sophomore, shares her encounter with a ghost in their common room. She initially thought it was someone going to the bathroom, but when she checked, she saw the back of a man near her roommate's door. After realizing her roommates' doors were unlocked, she went to check again but found no one. The next morning, nobody claimed to have been in the common room. They discovered there is a ghost named Ryan who knocks on windows and jingles doorknobs. Nikki initially thought it was a person and wanted to kick him out. Now they believe they have a ghost in their suite. Hi everyone, I'm Megan Vizian and welcome back to this week's podcast. So today we're going to be exploring one of my roommate's weirdest earth science experiences that happened to them. So can you kind of just give us your name and... great. My name is Nikki Machado and I'm a sophomore. So what are you going to be talking about today? I'm going to be talking about a encounter with a ghost in our common room. Okay, so clearly you do have a belief in ghosts. Do you think they're mainly here to harm us, to scare us, to just kind of show us they're there? What are your opinions on this? I definitely think it depends on the person, I guess. And I would definitely say I do believe in them after my last encounter. They can be good, they can be bad. I wasn't quite sure which one was it on the night. Okay, so let's get into this folks. Let's see what happened to Nikki. So it all started probably around two o'clock in the morning. I was just in my room reading a book and I heard all this thing coming from our common room. I assumed it was probably just somebody going to the bathroom but 30 minutes later it kept happening. So I went to check in our people on our door to see who was even in our common room at this time and I saw the back of a man right near one of our roommate's doors and I was definitely not messing with that so I went back to my room but then 15 minutes later I was like oh my goodness I forgot Meg and Abby do not lock their door. So I went out to check and I didn't see anyone there. I checked the bathroom, I looked through the window, I made sure our front door was locked but I didn't see a man. Then I went back to my room and I kept hearing more banging coming from our common room. I just went to sleep eventually and the next morning I asked if anybody went to the bathroom around two or three o'clock in the morning and nobody had an answer. They all said no. I was asleep and I understood like it's pretty early and then the next day we started searching up some ghosts because some of our friends are an authority and they were talking about this story. We found out that there is in fact a Ryan ghost. He's a male, he knocks mostly on windows, he jingles the doorknob. Now we believe we have a ghost in our suite. So when you saw this man were you at first like okay like this isn't a ghost like we have this shooter. Yes that's why I wanted to go out and just kick him out be like please don't come in here. Okay folks well I know after all this I'm not gonna be able to sleep so especially this is in our suite. Okay um anyway that's all for today. I hope you guys enjoyed Nikki's story.
