Postscripts, in four movements, was composed in November, 2016, in response to events and observations of political behaviors in the US. 1. to Civil Discourse 2. to Human Decency; uses melodies from a plainchant "Kyrie eleison," and the Spiritual "I want Jesus to walk with me." 3. to Madness; uses the Spirituals "Listen to the lambs," and "Let my people go," along with the mining ballad "Dark as a Dungeon." 4. to Hope; uses "Stand the storm, it won't be long."
