Lesson 8 Presentation 3

Today is our class cooking day. Early in the morning, we arrived at the kitchen. We divided into several groups, and each group had a teacher to teach us how to cook Chinese food. Our teachers are from different parts of China and are very good at cooking. Teacher Chen is from Sichuan, and he taught us how to make Mapo Tofu, which was both fragrant and spicy. Teacher Wu grew up in Beijing and is the best at making dumplings. The dumplings he made were both beautiful and delicious. Teacher Zhang is from Shanghai, and he taught us how to make Braised Pork, which had a good color and a sweet taste. Because David and I are both vegetarians, Teacher Lu taught us how to make a vegetarian dish, which was light and tasty. While cooking, we spoke Chinese, and after eating, we watched a Chinese movie. We had a great day. 今天是我们班的做饭日,一大早我们就到了。 睡觉的厨房我们分成了几个小组,每组有一个老师教我们做中国菜。 我们的老师来自中国各地都很会做菜。 陈老师是西川人,他教我们做了一个码头豆腐,又香又辣。 吴老师在北京长大,最会包饺子,他包的饺子又好看又好吃。 张老师是上海人,他教我们做了一个红烧肉,颜色好,味道甜,因为我和大卫都吃素。 陆老师教我们做了一个素菜,又清淡又可口。 大家一边做饭,一边说中文,吃了饭以后,我们还看了一个中文电影,我们过了愉快的一天。
