High above the cliffs bordering the sea are some very striking villas, the most notable of which is probably La Palais-Boule, the Bubble Palace. It was designed by the Hungarian architect, Antti Lovag, and built in 1975 for a wealthy industrialist. Lovag originally studied naval architecture, but in the 1960s he began to consider radically different buildings inspired by the more natural forms found in nature.
