Veterinarians work in private clinics, hospitals, farms, labs, classrooms, and zoos. The job can be emotionally difficult as they often deal with abused and sick animals, including euthanizing them. They also provide services like cancer treatments and organ transplants. The job outlook is good, with a 20% growth expected in the next decade. The speaker finds the job fulfilling as it allows them to care for animals, make important decisions, and gain valuable experience. Continuing on with my research to becoming a veterinarian, the job description in a nutshell is veterinarians work in private clinics or hospitals. Some travel to farms, laboratories, classrooms or zoos. The stress of the work can be emotionally difficult as they often have to work with abused animals and putting down or euthanizing the sick ones. They have to comfort the owners of the animals as they're doing these deeds. The job outlook is expected to grow by about 20% in the next 10 or so years, which is faster than the average for most of the occupations. Today's veterinarians offer many opportunities and services that are comparable to the health care for humans, like cancer treatments and organ transplants. From my personal perspective, the job fits what I want to do when I become an adult. It gives me a chance to meet lots of people, take care of animals and make the best decision for them and gain experience that I can use for the rest of my life, whether it's for my own animals or for a friend's or doing it as a job.
