Karen and Celeste have started a podcast called Last Call, where they discuss stories from the service industry. They wanted to create a relatable podcast for people in the service industry and hear their stories. They started the podcast after having a bad day at work and drinking espresso martinis at Playa Mesa. They will be sharing stories from Reddit and their social media followers. One Reddit story was about a customer who got mad at the server for not giving back their card, even though the server didn't have it. Another story was about a server who had to tell multiple customers that the restaurant was out of items on the menu. One of their followers shared a story about finding a rock in their food and being forced to sign a paper to quit or not sue. Cheers! A sip of coffee to get this started. Welcome to the Last Call Podcast with Karen and Celeste. I'm Celeste. I'm Karen. And this is our podcast. I'm not going to lie to you guys, this has been very difficult on us. We have run into so many technical difficulties. But we're excited to be here and we're excited to show you guys what we've come up with. Karen's going to kind of explain about the podcast right now. Welcome, guys. We're very excited. We wanted to make a podcast about the service industry. We're service industry workers. We're both servers. We have been for some time and we thought it would be fun. We have those days sometimes where we're like having probably a bad day. Yeah, 100%. We'll have a horrible day. And also, we've also done other stuff too. We've also both bartended and retailed. Yeah, all that. So this is for anyone in the service industry. We kind of wanted to make a podcast about that. And we want to hear your stories about everything that's happened to you. What was I going to say? Oh, shout out to Playa Mesa because that's how we started this podcast. That's how it all started, yeah. Literally, we got off of work and we're just having one of those days. And we're having our espresso martini. Yes, we love a good espresso martini. And then she loves podcasts, so she was like, let's start a podcast. Yeah, I thought that. I did my research, and there's not a ton of podcasts that talk about the stories people have in the service industry. So that would be a good idea. Yeah, I feel like it's so relatable. Yeah, it's definitely relatable. I mean, I'm sure most people do it, whether it's just for a year in college or anything. Yeah. That would be great. Yeah, so we're excited, guys. Yes. We want to start off. I don't know. We're going to start off with the Reddit stories. Oh, yeah. So we did have some Reddit stories that we found about the service industry. And then from our social media, we have a couple people who submitted us stories as well. So we're going to start off by reading a Reddit story and kind of discussing how we feel about it. Yeah. I know you're excited. I know we do. Are you ready? You can read the next one. Pull it up. OK. I'll read this one, and then you can read the next one. OK, this is, should I say this person's username? No, I'm going to keep the identities secret. I'm just going to say that this was on Reddit, and it's from two years ago. So this story says, this was about two months or so after I started my first job, about a year and a half ago. This bitch left her card in the checkbook. Me, being a young 18-year-old, decided, hey, I have her phone number from the to-go she called in, so let's call her to tell her. She came in and basically ranted at me for not giving her card back. So it makes me mad just thinking about it. And there's comments, one says, a normal busy day in the hospitality industry. I agree. I feel like that happens all the time. What about you? Have you ever had an experience like that? Well, it happens where, well, at our current job, the card will be on the machine, because we close them out in front of them. And then sometimes I'll give them back their card. They put it away, and then they sign. And then they're like, where's my card? And they look at me like, I have it, like I took it. And I'm like, no, I did not. And then they'll text me first, and I'm like, oh, it's right here. And I'm like, yeah. I actually have a similar story from when I used to bartend in a club. And shout-out to Stephanie, who's one of my best friends. But this happened to both of us. This guy came in, and he was kind of like a guy you could tell who thought he was like all that. He was kind of richy. Like he thought he was uppity and all that, basically. And so he bought a bunch of stuff. We gave him his card. And in the club, it's fast. You know, you're like sliding. You're giving it back. You're like, hey, hey, hey. Like five minutes go by. He comes over and accuses us of stealing his card. And everyone is like, we did not take your card, sir. There's nothing. Like, you have to calm down. He was getting so upset. Then he like yells at us. He starts getting louder and telling us, you guys took our card. Like, give me back my card. I know you took it. Everything like this. And thankfully, at this job, we had security. But he said something to us. He was like, you guys are just bartenders. Of course you took my card. Like, you need money. This isn't this. And we were looking at him like, what the hell? I don't know if Stephanie remembers this. But he like threw the checkbook at us. It didn't hit us, but he like threw the checkbook at us. And the kicker is his friend had his card the entire time. That's wild. That is wild. It was so stupid. It was ridiculous. But similar to this story, like the way that people rant at you for not giving your card back or thinking you have your card. Like they immediately panic. Exactly. Check, and then we'll figure it out. I'm going to let you know right now, no one is trying to steal your card. We don't care that much. No one wants your money. I'm sorry. I know. It's like they immediately like think we have it. We don't have it. And also, if we did, like, well, I mean, this person said she called back, and she was mad because she didn't give her her card back. Yeah. People forget they're human in this sort of situation. Yeah. It's not worth it. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah, don't be that person. Don't, for the love of God. Yeah. Anyways, Karen is going to read the next story. Here we go. Okay. So this was posted two years ago as well. Okay. Okay, this one says, we had one night where there was so much fun available on the menu that I hand wrote a list of what we didn't have and gave it to each party as they were seated. It was at least 15 items long, not including beverages. Not including beverages? Not including beverages. A whole bunch of other stuff went down that night. It was an absolute shit show. I quit the next morning and never went back. So this hits home because it's like. Hits home for us. It's like so frustrating. Like when you literally go to a table and you have to, like they order something and you're like, oh, I'm so sorry. Like we don't have that. And then they'll be like, oh, don't worry. Like I'll order something else. And then they order that next thing and it's like, oh, we actually don't have that either. And it's like back to back to back. That's, uh. That's tough. And it's also, we expect like management in the kitchen to have told us at the beginning what they do have, what they don't. It's not always their fault. Yeah. But when you do have someone, this actually happens to Karen a lot, I feel like. Yeah. I feel like you have this happen to you more than anyone I know where they'll order something and we won't have it. We'll order the next thing and we won't have it. And it goes for three or four times. Three or four, no lie. Like, and then after that, like first they're understanding this thing after thing after thing. It's like, bro, like what? Like you're out of everything I'm ordering. And that's when it's kind of embarrassing for me. Or like another thing that'll happen is when I ring in whatever they ordered and then 10 minutes later, hey, we don't have that. And it's like, we call you so late and it's like the people have been waiting for their food and you're just calling me this right now. It's like that. That too is super, super frustrating. Like there's no way. But I mean, that does happen a lot. So if you do go to like the restaurant industry and that's happening to you, it's not really anyone's fault. But please don't blame yourself or yell at them for that because it's not appreciated and it's really hard to make that work. It's like everything about like, yeah, they're extremely busy in the kitchen and it's like they're looking at the ticket times. Like they're going ticket by ticket. So when they get to yours, your tables, like they didn't realize that they were out of this plate. So that's when they tell you, but it's already been past like 10 minutes. Yeah. So it just happens. It just kind of sucks. You know, but yeah, it goes down that way. Definitely. Well, she said it. Let me see if there's any comments on this one. Oh, no. There's no comment. Oh, well. However, quitting the next morning is pretty extreme. Maybe she just doesn't need money. I don't know. I don't think I would quit after that. In the moment, you feel like, yeah, I do want to quit right now. But yeah, I would definitely be upset. But don't quit if you need money. It's hard out here. I know. Sorry. But it is. Yeah. Okay. Next one. This is by one of our followers on Instagram. So I'm excited. Well, you want to read this one? Sure. Okay. You can read the first one. Okay. Oh, we have two? Yeah, there's two. All right. Perfect. This is the first one? Yes. This one. Okay. Sorry. Technical. Okay. So she says, again, not naming people. Okay. One time when I was 18, I was eating from our salad bar and I bit into a rock and it hurt my tooth so bad. My manager made me sign a paper that I had to quit or I could keep working and not sue. I didn't know and signed the paper to keep my job. That is so fucked. That is like, has to be illegal. That is illegal. However, I don't know. It has to be illegal. Yeah. But she was so young. Well, yeah. But at 18, and if you're working in the industry, you're kind of going to listen to whatever they tell you. But I don't know. What would you have done? I would have probably, I mean, at that age, knowing myself, I would have probably signed too, to be honest. You would have signed it? Yeah. I would have quit. That's the one that's worth quitting for. No, because when you're at 18 and it's like your first job, you kind of want to do whatever, like not to get in trouble or whatever. So you're going to do it. I feel like most people would sign. But that's why we're here, to tell you don't sign. Yeah. If you're 18 and if you bite into a rock or something happens to you where you get damaged, get your worker's compensation. Yes. And also, I don't know, maybe get a lawyer. That seems ridiculous. Yeah. So if your worker says you had to sign a paper, also read the documents that you signed. Fully read through it. We just had this the other day at work. Did you sign it? That paper? No, I haven't signed anything. You haven't signed it? No. It's like a new sort of rule sort of thing. Really? Yeah. Oh, I didn't know about that. I haven't signed anything. Anyway, read your documents before you sign them. That's definitely good. Yeah. Well, she said, yeah, I could keep working and not sue. Yeah. So she signed and kept working. It's the part of they wanted to make her quit because she bit into a rock. How would that be her fault? It's not. They're covering their asses. You know what I mean? I can't believe they were starting to quit? Yeah. Dude. There's a mess of managers out there that will do this type of stuff. That's why it's like we're happy you guys are submitting this because you guys will see that if it does happen, just know that you have the right, they're supposed to cover for that too. Yeah. That happened to one of our coworkers. Oh, it did. At work. Yeah. And the reason they did was like, okay, we're going to go get it checked. Like they handled it. That's what they're supposed to do. But she was fine. She was fine. And they did handle it correctly where they helped her and everything. Yeah. So just know. I once stepped on, you know how I, this is when I worked at Nordstrom like a few years ago, but you know how they have dispensers? Yes. And there's like metal dispensers. Yeah. And I stepped on one and it went through my boot into my skin, like into the skin of my foot. Yeah. Obviously. And it just so happened I was 24 when this happened. So this was like what, two years ago? Yeah. You know how you have to get a tetanus shot for stuff like that? The last time I had had a tetanus shot was when I was 14. So that makes it 10 years ago. You're supposed to get one every 10 years. I was heading to Palm Springs that weekend with one of my friends. I think it was my friend Diana and Colleen at their birthday. I was so worried that they were going to give me drugs and I couldn't drink them. I was so upset. I was like, no. But I went over. She like pulled my, over to the urgent care, by the way. They did, Nordstrom is really good about that. They'll send you to the urgent care. They're very good at like making sure you get that. So I went there. She pulled my shoe off. She pulled through the sock. And she said, okay, well, you're going to be on these. And I asked her. I was like, okay, well, can I still drink on my vacation? She was like, yeah, you'll be fine. But I did have to get another tetanus shot. You do actually have to get it every 10 years. Yeah, you do. And those sensors have rust on them. Yeah, so that's why you have to. Yeah, it has like bad rust. And my mom's kind of a, not a drug freak. Well, kind of. She's just like, if anything happens, she's like, you better go get it taken care of. She's like, get your vaccines, get your everything, get all of it. So I called her, and she was upset. But they handled it. They did handle it. So that is an example of a good thing that's supposed to do. So if anyone young is listening and you're at like your first job or even older, work for people who will get it done. Don't be afraid. And also take care of yourself. If they're not, if there was a situation where they were like, oh, no, you know what? Don't go get it taken care of. And they got mad at you, then I probably still would have left and been like, screw you. Like, I need to get it done. Yeah. However, as good as they are, they were at Nordstrom about having that happen. I think, if I remember correctly, that I think like my managers at the time didn't really want me to go. They were like, well, we need you. And I was like, well, if I need a tetanus shot, yeah. You're kidding. No, because like, I mean, they were probably like, I don't think anyone thought it was that big of a deal. Because people step on them all the time, honestly. But this one went through my shoe and like it cut my skin. Yeah, I understand that. I mean, as a manager, I feel like you'd want to be safe. Yeah. They'd want to send that employee. Because, I mean, let's say you did. It was rusted. Let's say something did happen to you. Like, that falls on them. On Nordstrom. You could sue them. Yeah. Like, I feel like they'd want to be safe. I want to clarify, I won't. Nordstrom is a powerful company. Yeah, I feel like they should take steps. Yeah. I feel, honestly, it's probably just because they probably just needed this extra help and were a little greedy. I'm going to give it to them and say they likely didn't realize it was that severe. Or maybe they did. Yeah. That's how that works. But there you go. Yeah. That's one of the stories. Thank you for submitting that. Yeah, thank you. We appreciate our small little group of followers who have known we've been doing this and ready to publish it. So, thank you. Love that. Okay, I'm going to read the next story we have. The next story, yeah. So, this is from the same person. So, she was a server for a while, so she has a lot of stories. Oh, it's from the same girl? Yeah. Oh, yay. Okay. So, she said she had a sugar daddy customer for four years. Good for you. He would bring me the most lavish stuff. So, this is a good topic because that happens very often. I mean, it happened to you that they would bring you stuff to work? Oh, yes. It wasn't a sugar daddy, though. However, it was... Well, I can probably tell that story after this, but yeah. Yeah, definitely that happens where the thing is where men think they can show up to your job and give you stuff. Yeah. Don't do that. Unless it's your boyfriend, like for Valentine's Day, but that's it. I did have one regular when I was a bartender, but he was super cool. Like, he was like an older... He worked at Guess. Aw. There were those type of regulars that would come every Sunday to football. Aw. You know, like... Love football. They were so sweet. So, he was one of our regulars, and he'd be like, hey, if you ever want anything from Guess, like let me know. But it wasn't like... You know, you can sense when it's like they're doing it in a... When it's creepy. In a creepy way. So, he was very much like a, you know, like a uncle. You know, like a cool uncle. An older uncle vibe. Older uncle vibe. Yeah. So, I was like, yeah, he's super cool. He's like, yeah, I have stuff for Christmas, da-da-da. So, he had an extra bag. So, he gave me an extra Guess bag and then shoes. Oh, he gave you the brand Guess bag and the brand Guess shoes? Guess shoes. He gave me a Guess bag. He gave me a Guess coat. That's very generous. I love that for you. That's actually really nice for a dealer to have. Yeah, he's like, look over the Guess website and then whatever... Just get whatever you like. Like, if you want to... Was this when he worked at Friday's? Yeah. Oh, okay. Yeah, when he worked at TGI Friday's. I was like, when did that happen? Yeah, there was bartending there. Yeah, it was one of my regulars and he was super cool. Like, yeah. Well, that's nice. I mean, having a good regular is the best thing for sure. Yeah. Yeah. But I wouldn't say like a creepy... So, that's cool. I would accept that. Yeah. Okay. Sorry. Back to the story for this girl. But you went on a tangent there. I know. Yeah. This girl said a customer for four years. So, that's a long time. Who knows what kind of stuff she was getting. But she says it was lavish stuff. So, that's nice. So, her story is that she just had a sugar daddy giving her stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's very generous. Yeah. Like, there are situations with that when you're a server and you have someone who likes you so much and it's a non-creepy way, like how you said. Yeah. That that sort of thing happens. Yeah, it does happen. I would be fine with that. And my regular will never give me like Christmas pins and like spinning things. I wouldn't get anything from guests. Yeah. I'm trying to think. That's the only thing. Him and then the creepy guy. But that was creepy. The coin guy. Oh, yeah. That's true. That's another story. But I'll save that story for... We can save that story for when we like ask for creepy stories. Creepy stories. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Well, we went through these stories, but I guess we could kind of... I have more. Oh, you have more? I do. Oh. You just got me more. Okay, perfect. We have another story. Yay! This is a long one. Do you want me to read it? Do you want to? Yeah. It's up to you. Oh, so she put a fake name. Okay. So I'm going to read this word for word because this person put a fake name. So smart. It says, so I, Coco, 27, work at a sports bar and had this table of five, and these were regulars. We've seen them here before. They're heavy drinkers, but we've never had any problems with them. The first problem started with the guy who is a bald dude. She put that in front of the screen. Love that. Okay. The first problem started with when the guy, bald dude, at the table walked to the kitchen and grabbed his food and trying to take it to his table. I saw and was like, I can take that, and walked it back. Second problem was we couldn't find their bill when they were ready to pay. The cook claimed the bill was with the food, but we never found it. Oddly enough, he was also writing in his notes everything he was ordering, so we made him a new check, but he was already being rowdy and rude to our manager who was only trying to help the situation. This sounds dangerous already. Third thing, he asked me how he can leave the tip even though he's a regular, and I told him he can write it on the bill in the tip section, and then I leave and come back, and his wife starts yelling at me, asking me, what did he tell you? Did he say he was going to put his tip in you? What? And I just, what? Okay. What? And she says, and I just told her, like, no, he was asking how to leave the tip, and she started yelling at him afterwards. Fourth is all his group and him are at the register trying, and we have to manually add the check and the bill, and as I'm doing that, he walked behind me fast, but he pushed up against my ass with his pelvis and penis and walked away all quick, but thankfully we have a camera pointing right at that area, but since there was so much going on, I kind of just forgot about that. Fuck that shit. We're going to get into such a discussion about this right now. Okay, and then it says, then, she has then in all capital letters, he pays, and out of nowhere he yells, just like, ah, and punches the wall. So he screams and punches the wall, and Chanel, co-worker, goes to the security and tells them, keep in mind, they're too small females who are security. She tells them, this dude just punched a fucking hole in the wall. He's refusing to leave. They're trying to drag him out, and he's resistant. He's pushing the security, and boom, he gets pepper sprayed, and they finally get him out after that, and when security is inside, one is outside with a guy, and this guy's friend is blocking the door, not letting the security out for some reason, and Chanel yells at him, like, what the fuck is your problem? She's trying to do her job. He's stopping her from doing that. Get the fuck out of her way. Love that. Then boom, the fucking air and particles from the pepper spray starts circling the fucking bar. All the tables near the door have witnessed all this go down and are now choking on pepper spray. No! The servers are choking. Everyone's, oh, the servers are choking. Everyone's asking for water. Everyone's running out the door. The pepper spray lingered for, like, 30 minutes. Then we called the cops, but they showed up fucking two days later, typical. We pressed charges for damaging property, and I could have pressed charges on him for pushing up on me, but I didn't, and that's what happened. That's so much. There was so much going on. That is insane, and this is a story from, like, one of our followers, someone who submitted this to us. I have so many thoughts, but I'm going to let Karen go first on this. The one that I'm, like, ugh about is the whole pelvic rubbing against her ass. I'm like, oh, fuck, sorry. That one, that one is, like, because, I mean, like, girl, like, why would you touch me like that? And your wife is over there. Well, here's the thing, though. The wife obviously knows he's a creep because she went up to her and was like, oh, did he say he was going to put his tip in you? Like, why would you assume that that is what your husband is saying to a waitress? Yeah. That's crazy. That's sick. I don't know. I don't know how I would have reacted to that. I would have been, like, that makes me uncomfortable and uncomfortable. Like, no, no, no, no. What the wife said? No, the whole pelvic. Would you have said something? To my manager. Yeah. To him. I don't know if she's even said anything to the manager. I don't think she did. Well, she said she had, like, kind of forgotten about it. It's kind of a lose, I think, saying that she probably said something after the fact. But again, like, what are you going to, unfortunately, they probably can't do much to that. However, I would ban him from that restaurant. Yes. That would be a good one. No, this is a lot. You would have said something to your manager. I would have said something to my manager. I wouldn't have reacted towards him, though. Yeah. I would have wanted to be that person, but I don't think I would have. Because it's a customer. I don't know. It's kind of a fine line there. Well, I mean, yeah, he might be a customer, but I would immediately be like, either he's never allowed in here again, or I'm quitting. Would you have reacted at that moment he did what? No. If it would have happened, I would have turned around and been like, what the fuck? Then I would have told the manager, and if they said, don't worry about it, we'll do something about it later, I would have been like, well, you better. However, when I worked in, like, the nightclub that I bartended at, I am spoiled in the sense that if anyone ever tried something on me, nightclubs have security and, like, stuff like that. I would tell them, and they would immediately get it out, which doing that just, like, helps you become more assertive and say stuff. So for me, I think I would have said something. However, I can see in the moment where I'm stressed about everything, and this guy, like, did that to me, I'd be like, what the fuck? But then I would focus on other things. Yeah. However, I don't know. I don't know. No, I really think I would have turned around and said, fuck off. I know you would have. I would have. I would have turned around and been like, you know, something like, you would have given him a look. Given him a look. I think that's about it. I don't know. I've never been in that situation. Yeah. God forbid. I know. But again, there was a lot going on here, and so for that specific part, that's ridiculous. That was so much. However, what was the other part of this? That, um, the pepper spray. The pepper spray. The punching of the wall. The punching of the wall. There you go. That's second to what happened, right? Yeah. Yeah. I'm not gonna, I am gonna assume that this man was either on drugs or, like, had some other shit going on with him. Yes. However, she did say they were regulars, which is weird in the sense that she said she's known them before and they're heavy drinkers, you know, they've never had a problem, and then all of a sudden this. That's a lot. That's gotta be disappointing. Yeah. Because you thought, like, oh, they're okay, whatever, they're regulars. Exactly. Yeah. No, hopefully they're not a love act. Hopefully not. She didn't name the sports bar. She didn't. But I could definitely see that happening on the sports bar, because men get crazy. They do, man. For no reason. The punching of the wall. Like, did this guy then get arrested, she said, or they filed with any kind of charge? They pressed charges. She said he didn't get arrested, but they pressed charges. Yeah. And then, hang on, let me go through this to see, towards the end. I like how she capitalizes the boom, then boom, the fucking air particles from the pepper spray starts circling the fucking bar. Yeah. Like, how hectic was that? The fact that the servers and the other tables were all choking on this fucking pepper spray and it had to get water for everyone. It's funny, but it's not funny. But it's funny. Funny after. Yeah, it is funny after. And then the pepper spray lingered for like 30 minutes. Then we called the cops. They showed up to his place. So it says that they only pressed charges for damaging property, and she says she could have pressed charges on him for pushing up on me. Yeah, because there was video. But she didn't, and that's what happened. She should have. Yeah. She should have. However, that could also be a situation where I feel like if he was so drunk, they would have blamed it. Like, I don't know that anyone would have really helped her for that. Unfortunately. You should. I know. But that's just how the way it goes sometimes. That's sad. But it's always good to say something. Yeah, you should. We're your advocates for definitely saying something in any of those matters. Please do. Yes. We don't want anything happening. Especially if you're young. Yeah. If you're starting your first industry job, service industry job, anything, and someone does something to you, go to an older coworker that maybe you trust, and then see what can happen. Exactly. We work with a few 18-year-olds. Yes, we do. Yeah. If someone came up to us, I feel like we would be like, definitely. We would help them. For sure. No doubt about that. No questions asked. We'll help you. Yes. Karen won't say anything in a moment, but she's feisty. I am. Yeah. I'll say something. I will say something. You needn't. No, I feel like you won't overreact. You'll keep it in your mind like we're going to go after. I'll immediately want to go guns blazing. Yeah. I keep it. If I see that something keeps happening, and I don't like it, I will say something. Yeah. 100%. That was a good story, though. That was pretty good. I really enjoyed it. Right? Yeah. As far as first stories go, I feel like we had some really good ones. That was really good. Yeah. Yeah. I'm trying to think. Should we talk about one of our stories that we read? Yeah. To end it? Yeah. Okay. I don't know which story I should talk about. Well, I feel like we had a good variety in these stories. We had one kind of crazy one, and the other just kind of typical one. Yeah. Should we talk about... I don't know. Sorry. Pause. Pause. Do you want to do a creeper story or our first job story? Oh, we should do a first... Yeah. Yeah. First customer incident at your job. First time you had an incident with a customer where you realized all people are idiots, sort of. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Let's do that. Okay. Should I go first? Me? Yeah. Should I go first? Yeah. You go first. My first customer was when I was serving at Denny's. It was my first serving job. Yeah. Denny's. So this job was my first serving job after hosting, and it's like... If you've worked at Denny's, you know. If you know, you know. But at Denny's, you have to do everything. Like, literally run your food. You have to make... Serve your drinks, coffees, anything. Salads, soups. Like, the server's doing all that for you. You know what I mean? Yeah. There's no help. There's no help. And on a Sunday, for breakfast, like, the line's out the door. Like, the whole area. There's no tables. And for a first server, and to just kind of have, like, training for a week, it's a lot. Like, at this point, I hadn't even carried, like, the big trays, you know? I don't know. Because at Denny's, like... I still struggle with the big trays. Yeah. They're, like, humongous. They're, like, huge. And I'm tiny. So it was a Sunday morning. I had, like, the busiest section right here. And there was a table that I got that this guy had ordered a Bud Light with me. But to get the Bud Light, you have to... It's their lot. So you have to get a manager. The manager's, like, nowhere to be found. Like, it's a busy Sunday. So I put their food in, that Bud Light. I'm looking for the manager. I get busy with my other tables. Like, it just... I was so stressed out at this point. Maybe 15 minutes had passed, and this guy was waiting for his Bud Light. And so I see him, like, get up. And this guy was, like, a little scary. Like, he was a little intimidating. He's, like, a big guy, right? He was, like, kind of like a cholo. Oh. Yeah. And for reference, Karen's, like, 4'11". Are you 5'10"? I'm 5'. She's 5'8". Exactly. And so, like, this scary-looking guy is, like, getting up. I see him walking towards me. And then he's, like, where's your manager? And I'm, like, oh, shoot. You know, like, can we go together? Oh, no. That's never good. He goes, and he starts talking so much crap to my manager. So then I'm freaking out, because, like, I don't know. I've never dealt with that. This is your first job, right? My first serving job. First serving job. Yeah. Dealing with customers, you know, with tables and everything. So my manager immediately grabs me, takes me to the closet, like, the storage closet. And then she starts going off on me, like, yelling at me. And, like, I wanted to cry so bad, because, like, she was red. Like, red. Like, red eyes. Like, her eyes were, like, popping out. I was like, oh, my God. She's yelling at you. She's saying, like, you can't do your job or what? Like, you better... Oh, hell no. Yeah, like, kind of like, what's wrong with you? Like, you need to freaking learn how to do this. No. Like, going off on me. No. And I was like, oh, my God. And then she's like, you need to learn how to carry those trays, and da-da-da, because I haven't done it yet. And after that, like, I did it. I could also have pissed, but at the same time, I was like... It was scary. It was scary. Did you stay at that job? Yeah, I did. You did? I did. After that incident, you stayed at that job. How long did you stay there for? I was there for... I want to say, like, a year. Well, like I said, you need to make money. Like, that girl was great. Like, I get it, but... Yeah. I can understand that. But it was, like... That's been the most stressful serving job I've had. And that was your first incident with, like, a customer being rude. With a customer. Yeah, because he was, like... It's like... I don't know how to explain it, but it's like... You know that moment where you're, like, so busy? Uh-huh. You're so stressed, like... And you know that in the back of your mind, my table needs this, this table needs that, this table needs that. But you can't do it all at once. Yeah, you can't do it all at once. You want to, but you can't. Yeah, it's like... It's scary. I have it in my mind that I need to do that, that, and that, but I'm supposed to... It's hard. I need to prioritize, like, which one I need to do first. Right. So, it was, like, one of those moments. And then having an angry customer, like, actually get up is, like, the worst feeling, like... Oh, for sure. I've had angry customers. Yeah. Yeah. So... Ridiculous. That was my story. I'm sorry. It was scary. Well, I'm glad you're okay. Well, I need to be okay. No, no, no. That's definitely, like, good. But I will say, like, working there did help me a lot with, like, my speed, like, I'm much faster with everything. Yeah. I feel like everyone's first serving job, specifically, really kind of helped me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
