The person is planning to attend Rutgers after CCM for their intended majors. They want to earn a bachelor's in criminal justice and a Ph.D. in psychology to become a forensic psychologist. They found it easy to succeed at CCM due to the one-on-one interaction with professors. They plan to continue their education, apply for internships, and get a job. Their interest in true crime made them choose a criminal justice major. If they were to switch careers, they would become a clinical therapist. They plan to attend Rutgers classes through CCM and prefer a smaller campus. They have become more organized and better at managing their time. They found the information helpful for college success. I'm going to be asking you a couple questions about your college decisions after CCM. So for the first question, what college are you planning on going to after CCM and why do you want to go there? I'm thinking of attending Rutgers and taking their classes on the CCM campus. It's a local college that's well known, so it would be good to put on my resume, but it also has courses for my intended majors. Okay. What are your future career plans, or to be more exact, how or what do you plan in terms of moving forward in general? I plan on earning my bachelor's in criminal justice and then earning my Ph.D. in psychology. This will initially help me work towards my goal of becoming a forensic psychologist. What did you find difficult or easy being a student at CCM, and do you feel like you're prepared on moving forward? I really like how the courses are run because you get that one-on-one interaction with your professor and you can easily get clarification on material. This makes it really easy to succeed at CCM, I feel like, and it definitely helps me prepare for the future because it taught me how to advocate for myself more and take initiative on projects I care about. Okay. Well, where do you plan on seeing yourself within the next couple of years? I see myself continuing my education to earn my bachelor's degree in criminal justice and then going forward to earn my Ph.D. in psychology. Then by that point, I can see myself starting to apply to different agencies for internships and then getting a job. What are your most memorable moments in college that helped you make your decision for your major? One of the moments I'll never forget when I was thinking about a new major is thinking about my entrance outside of school. I thoroughly enjoy listening to a true crime podcast, following ongoing trials, and watching interrogation tapes on YouTube. This made me realize that becoming a criminal justice major would make me feel the most fulfilled. If you ever decided to switch careers, though, midway, what would you do and how would you do it? If I would do this, it would be to become a clinical therapist. Since I would have my Ph.D. in psychology already, I feel like that would be an easy career switch for me. When it comes to your college that you're moving to, do you plan on staying local with it? Yeah, I do. I plan to attend Rutgers classes through CCM and commute from home. A lot of people feel more comfortable around the certain size of a college or campus. Which type of college do you think suits you best? I definitely feel a smaller campus is better. Smaller campuses can get overwhelming in terms of the actual size of the campus and the student-to-professor ratio. A smaller campus feels like a much better and more comfortable fit for me. Well, I see that you've changed a lot about yourself in terms of focusing up and being more aware about the things that come at you during your college life. What are some things that you've changed about yourself to help you out? I made more of an effort to organize myself through the past semesters. This was done through simple acts such as having a digital agenda where I could write important due dates down and having a corkboard in my room with each of my class syllabi. I also put more effort into managing my time better and made sure to dedicate the proper amount of time to each assignment. That's something I've been working on about myself too, just being more organized with everything. Yeah. Overall, I feel like we've gained some valuable and helpful information that can help out a lot of people, especially including me, considering I used to be very unorganized in keeping stuff together and overall, how to keep moving forward at a steady pace during college.
