Israel has admitted that an airstrike in Gaza that killed three British aid workers was a mistake. The US president is outraged by the incident. The charity, World Central Kitchen, has suspended operations in Gaza as a result. The United Nations has called the incident unconscionable. UNICEF says aid workers are facing difficulties in doing their job due to lack of aid and the risk of being killed. An earthquake in Taiwan has caused four deaths and damaged buildings. However, improvements in infrastructure have helped to minimize casualties. A report has found that prisoners in Wyman Jail are turning to drugs due to long waiting times for help. Santander has reported a rise in purchase scams, with 80% starting on online marketplaces. Pop star Liz clarified that she is not leaving the music industry, but wants to avoid negativity. With the latest, I'm Kyle Fraser. Israel admits an airstrike which killed three British aid workers in Gaza was a grave mistake, while the US president says he's outraged and heartbroken. John Chapman, James Kirby and James Henderson were among seven volunteers from World Central Kitchen who died when their convoy was hit. The charity says it's now suspended operations in Gaza with immediate effect. Israel admits they were hit by mistake because of misidentification, whilst the head of the United Nations says the incident is unconscionable. Tess Ingram from the United Nations Organisation for Children, UNICEF, says their job is increasingly difficult. We're here trying to do our job, but we are continually being hampered every step of the way. We're not getting enough aid in. We are unable to properly move throughout the Gaza Strip. And while we're doing that, we're at risk of being killed. An earthquake in Taiwan has killed four people and injured dozens. It's estimated to have measured 7.4, and that would be the strongest to hit the island in at least 25 years. The tremor damaged buildings and caused a small tsunami which hit southern Japanese islands. No one was reported injured there. Emily Feng is a journalist in Taiwan and says the low number of deaths is because of the improvements made to the country's infrastructure. Last time Taiwan had an earthquake at this scale in 1999, 2,000 people died. Those buildings that you're seeing that collapsed or are off-kilter, for the most part, are the exception. In Taipei, my building has been swaying for the last couple of hours, but Taiwan has really earthquake-proofed itself. A new report has found prisoners are turning to drugs after arriving behind bars because of long waiting times to get help. Inspectors discovered one in five inmates at Wyman Jail in Lancashire who have mental health issues reported developing a substance misuse problem since arriving. The longest wait is 39 weeks to access psychological therapy and more than a year to receive counselling. Now, if you've ever been scammed or you bank with Santander, this one is for you because Santander have said that they've been dealing with a third more purchase scams than it was a year ago. That's when the buyer never actually gets the item that they've paid for. The bank says 80% start on online marketplaces. And in showbiz, Liz is insisting she's not walking away from the music industry. The pop star says a recent I Quit social media post was about trying to stop giving out negative energy following criticism that she's been getting. There is more news online at gado.co.uk.
