The speaker starts by expressing gratitude to Allah and discussing the importance of listening to previous recordings. They then mention the topic of anger and its significance in Islam. The speaker emphasizes the importance of understanding and practicing the lessons taught in previous sohbahs. They also talk about the love of the world and how it can lead to evil. The speaker shares a story about Imam Sha'arani and his selflessness. They highlight the need to prioritize the hereafter and not become too attached to worldly possessions. The speaker warns against excessive love for material things and urges listeners to focus on their hearts and the path to Allah. ثُمَّ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَةُهُمْ Alhamdulillah, our gratitude to Allah for having able us to be here on this very blessed Thursday evening in the state of good health and Iman and Taqwa. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala increase our Iman and Taqwa until our very last days. Amin. Ya Rabbil Alamin. Last week, we spoke about anger in the past few weeks. You know, it is something which is very important that we talk about the three of bad character. So we went through the hadith that talks about it, you know, and I really hope that you would re-listen back to the recording from last week's sohbah because then it will make sense. You get what I'm trying to say? So it's not just giving, giving, giving, but then it is not, you know, re-listening, contemplating, you know, muhasabah because the week just passes by very fast. So if you can, at least listen once before you come for the majlis, just the sohbah. I'm not asking you to listen to the zikr, for just the sohbah and listen back what needs to be understood, what needs to be practiced. So from last week, you've been listening to the sohbah and you've been keeping, not just the gist of it, but really understand it and study it, about the story of the boy and the father. He knocked the nail onto the fence, etc. Then I think by this week, at least some aspects of your anger would have reduced. You get what I'm trying to say? And to be able to at least understand whether this is the right anger or read more about anger and understand it, why Imam Ghazali spoke about it. So don't take sohbah lightly, just because we don't test you. We don't have to because life is, Allah is. You get what I'm trying to say? You come for this, this is not a nahu class, where the teacher needs to give you a test paper. No, this is a skill that you need to carry on in your life. So this is definitely more important than your nahu. So you can be an angry nahui, prestigious. You get what I'm trying to say? An angry gemerarian is not going to be very helpful. Right? So, or angry jurist, you're not supposed to give verdict when you're angry. You know, the adab, you're not supposed to stand when you give a fatwa, you're supposed to sit down. There's so many etiquettes before giving a fatwa. So these are things that is definitely very important that makes the Muslim who they are. It's not just the set and the knowledge. Because now, to tell you the truth, it's artificial intelligence. What people have today is artificial intelligence because they cannot carry themselves to Allah. And that's why we have sohbah. You get what I'm trying to say? So this week is khubbud dunya, the love of the world. And Ulema has mentioned that the cause of all evil is the love of the world. And there's a story of Imam Sha'arani. So Imam Sha'arani has this habit of donating everything he has in terms of his food and everything. There's no surplus. For him every day, there's no surplus. There's nothing for tomorrow. Everything he has is only for today. And in fact, this is something Imam Al-Ghazali emphasizes in Minhaj Al-Abideen. He says, only seek your sustenance, what you need for today. What you need, you eat only what you need to pray. Which means you work to worship. You don't worship to work. For us, the concept has changed. Oh Quran Rizki buat duha. Rizki is not enough, read Waqiaa. No, you're supposed to do this so that you don't become the servant of Dunya. So even Tariqa and Tasawwuf has followed this Arus, this, you know, Arusniya, meaning the current of today's world. No enough Rizki, take Waqiaa. Do the Zikir, Inshallah, all will come. It's always like that. That's why we always ask you, why are you taking Waqiaa? Or then there's a scripted answer that we're passing around. Yeah, he surely asks you. Just tell him you want to be close to Allah. He will take you. This is happening, but it's good, Alhamdulillah, hopefully from that then they get to sincerity. And what we don't understand is actually we're going against darkness, not just Dunya. Because Dunya is all these grids, right? All these flashing lights, neon lights and all of the publicity, and all of this and that. We forget that we are supposed to not love Dunya. Take what's good in it, right? I'm not asking you to go and sell all everything and forget everything. No, I'm asking you to not have it in your heart. Don't dictate your life with Dunya. You get what I'm trying to say? So Imam Sha'arani has this thing where he, there's no surplus for tomorrow. And it is in accordance to the way of our Salaf as-Salehin. So if you say you follow Salaf as-Salehin, it's not just in how short your pants are, or how high your pants are, but it is in how far away you abstain from Dunya. That's one of the first mark of Salaf as-Salehin. Read the history of the Sahaba, Sayyidina Abu Dharr al-Zuffari, Sayyidina Bilal, Habshi, all of these great Sahabas of ours and the Tabi'in and the Tabi'in, they abstained Dunya so much that Allah carried them. Dunya cannot even touch them. So they're very purified, mashallah. So Imam Sha'arani, one day he went home and he looked, okay, there's no food to be given out. So he went back, went up to sleep. And then he found himself unable to sleep, toss and turn. Went down, he checked in his kitchen and went around and saw there was some meat that his daughter took just before he came back from teaching. So he took the meat and he went to the streets looking for people to distribute the meat, but there's no one there. So this meat is probably dried meat or something like that. So there's no one there. Then what he found was a group of, what do you call a group of dogs? Dogs, what? Pack, yes, like wolves, right? A pack of dogs. Not cigarettes, huh? Don't go there. For those who are smoking, please stop. It's not good for you, your family, everybody, inshallah. Understand, ladies? Not look at the men here, oh, mashallah. World has changed, huh? Okay, coming back. A pack of dogs. So he fed the dogs, mashallah. And then he went back home. And the dogs followed him until he reached home. Imam Sha'arani is a big awliyaullah, so if you can read more about him, this will be your homework. Who is Sha'arani? Siapa Imam Sha'arani ni? Go and find out lah. Right, you have one week. So much Instagram, I see all of your live stories. A bit, just read about Imam Sha'arani, inshallah, you'll benefit. And then after that, the next morning, he wanted to make his way to the masjid. The pack of dogs are still there. They followed him to the masjid. And then when he reached his masjid, his students were all waiting, fajar, waiting. So the students were shooing away the dogs, and he says, why do you shoo them away? Well, the dogs, he says, they're probably better than you. Guru-guru dulu tak kasih chance. Sekarang cakap gini, as a result, dia tanya. What's your status? So he says, no. They're probably better than you. He says, you know, I fed them once, meat, a bit of meat, and they are obedient to me. Every day I feed you with spiritual nourishment, and you still go against me. You see Imam Sha'arani, he says this. So what are we trying to say here, is that, as Muslims, we are totally people who love the dunya, this day and age. And this is so evident in the way that we shop, in the way we value things. An example, when we do sadaqah, right? We want the Happy Meal sadaqah. It's like when you give $5.50, you get everything. A toy, fries, then you get orange juice, and then if you can get an extra toy, you tell the cashier, no one take, I take lah. I mean, khob bun dunya. So like $5, then they say like pakau liau, sumo you whack. But you want at the same time, so I give $5 misal, but I want jannah. $5 jannah, river beneath, full of F&N, Fanta grape soda, and then all of the hurat-u-ain, all this, but I just want to donate $5 jannah. Now you building a masjid, again that's the one, because when you build a mosque for Allah, Allah will build a jannah, a palace for you, right? But you only give $5. This is the way we live our dunya. But when it comes to buying, you know, all this, fa'evur lah that people buy nowadays, because of celebrities, they're selling it, and all this kind of thing, berapa? $500 je? Oh okay lah, no problem, no problem. We've been tricked. We've been tricked. And one of the signs of hubbun dunya, is the love of excessiveness. Excessiveness. So there's a lot of excessiveness that's going on in our lives today. So there's a difference between being stingy, and being frugal. Right? Stingy is miserliness, and that is an illness. Mawlana Ghazali talks about this as well, or the ulema of the heart, they spoke, they speak about this. Miserliness, especially, when it comes to the deen. So, bakhil, you know, kita panggil orang, Haji Bakhil, Haji Bakhil, Haji Bakhil. So, when we say Haji Bakhil, means that person, he has the money, mifal, to go for hajj, but he doesn't want to, because he's afraid he will lose his money. He has money to go for, to do sadaqah, but he doesn't want to, because he's afraid, that he will lose that money. So hubbun dunya is a very broad spectrum, a very broad illness. One of the signs is when you're spending too much time, too much time, in dunya, and very little time for your hereafter. But if I may change that, it's not about hereafter, but it's about the heart. So, you look at babies, right? When they're just given birth to, kiss their feet, would you? You, oh, oh, manila, no, then you go, you go and kiss them, here and there, even if they soil their pampers, oh, so cute, even dead people would do it, right? You don't want them to be dead, you don't want them to go, shit, I know you all are like that, when I see, because I see this in your Instagram, cute baby pictures, cute kittens, all these cute, cute things, cute, cute lah, so cute, cute. You get what I'm trying to say? Why are they like that? Would you do that, while they, how old are you now, Firdaus? 29. Will you go and, oh, so cute, Firdaus, 29, you go bow kaki there, will you do that? What will happen? Why, why not? Huh? Because their feet is no longer the same, 2 year old, 2 day year old baby in your feet. Why? Because their feet is from Jannah. So we'll do that to babies, and you won't do it to a 42 year old, 43 year old man, right? Yeah, it's like, 1 year old. Am I right, Kak Rafidah? Yes. Why? Because, we've sucked in the darkness of dunia. That's why our feet smell. And wherever we go is the places of darkness, so our bodies are like sponges. It absorbs, absorbs, absorbs. That's why our feet become what, heavy. Oh, Murshid, my feet very heavy, I cannot walk. Where do you go? I went Suntec. Oh no, I went to what? Expo. Oh, where do you go? I went KL. What do you do? KLCC shopping. Ah, that's why difficult to come for majlis. My feet very heavy. Absorb the, getaran bumi KL. Or getaran bumi mana-mana lah. Yang ada kebanyakan dunia, you know? It is like that. That's why you notice when you go to shopping malls, and you come back, you feel very lethargic. You feel very tired. It takde orang buat. We absorb. So what we need to do, sometimes when you go to offices, like we went to an office place the other day, I came back, I was really tired. I cakap, apa I buat eh? It's just the place. Bukan nak kata kita ni mananya suci. Takde, I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is, it's naturally like that. And you notice if you eat the wrong food, your body starts to smell. But Malaika, Malaika, they will go to people who have done a lot of salawat. Why? Because one of the benefits of salawat, is that it will emit fragrance. So you see what happens, when we move from people who love dunia, so loving dunia is not just about driving your Bentley, and having big cars. No. Loving the dunia is when the dunia has corrupted the heart. And it takes us away from the focus, which is the heart. The heart is supposed to be your cup. Cup. But now it's become dark. So don't go around and say, Oh, he's rich means he loves the dunia. No, it's not that. You can have rich people, who despise dunia, but dunia keeps coming back to them. And then we have people, who keep wanting, Ya Allah, aku dapat wakilah ni 46 kali. Murshid say, his murshid did 41. I did 46, plus 5. How come still? How come still cannot get my bonus? Maybe it's your performance. Correct or not? You come late, never hand in your work. Wakilah is to remind you of the heaven and hell. You get what I'm trying to say? That means, do good work, you go to heaven. There was once this Habib, and he, he sent his child to learn Quran with one of another Sheikh in Tarim. And after finishing learning the Quran, as in weekly, that was his first week. So he gave the Sheikh, the taught his, teaching his son, a bag of gold. And the Sheikh, teaching the Quran, was like, it is too much, I cannot accept it. Okay, then you cannot teach my son anymore. And he says, why? It should be better, no, I'm not taking this money. He says, no, I'm giving you this, because you teach, you are teaching him, Al-Quran. No one can actually pay, people who teach the Quran, because it's such a high science. I should pay you more. But since you do not know, the value of what you are teaching, I have to send him to someone, who knows the value, of what he's teaching. So it's not the dunya, that can buy the deen, my friend. Your dunya cannot buy, and it's not speaking out of elegance, this is placing the right value, into our deen. And which means, which means, our dunya, can direct our, our deen, can direct our dunya. So all this dua murarizki, right? It's not for you, to have abundance of wealth only, but, it is to free you from dunya, right? Free you from dunya, so that you have more time for akhira. Itulah murarizki. So like somehow or other, Allah will arrange for your dunya, so that you have more time with him. Now when you do something like this, sooner or later, your feet will start to smell like jannah. You will start to think like people of jannah. You start to behave like people of jannah. But where are you? Dunya. So you become the people of jannah in, dunya. Inilah murarizki. This is, for ease of sustenance. On the other hand, you can get a lot of people with a lot of money, but they stink of dunya, because dunya is a carcass. What is the value of dunya? One wing of a fly. That's what an Nabi s.a.w. says. Allah has placed this dunya, the value of it is just one. So next time you are stressed, what do you do? Right? Bring the one wing. Remind yourself, of course, I'm not asking you to throw away your responsibility. It's two different things. Stressed is when you are governed, by dunya. That means you've allowed dunya to govern you. And people who are skillful, are those who keep the stress outside, not inside of them. That means they work with tension. They understand that they're always working with tension. And these are the people, of jannah. Getting to jannah is also not easy. That's why you ask, So that I can go to jannah. Which means so that I can spend more time with you. So that I don't have to worry about this darkness, this place of darkness. That you send Adam to be prisoned in. Takkan I want to be happy in the prison? But at the same time, I don't want to be a burden here, and I don't want to have burdens here. So make it a smooth journey for me, so that I can go back to my real home. So then you become, you're changing. But dunya won't let you off just like that. Once you want to go back to Allah, right? Remember I told you the feet, that is now absorbing all of the darkness of dunya. Now you're rooted. So what must you do? An-Nurut panggil root. You know root? What avenger? Gurut. Nama semua tukar meripik-ripik. Baik-baik root jadi gurut. Ada makna ke gurut? Alright. Next people will start naming their child. Eh gurut come. How ever naming their child? Aba gurut tu only have, what is it called? Aba gurut. Dunya. Remind your children that they are people of Akhirah. That's why we give them name like Abdul Rahman. You know? Abdullah. We give them names like that so that they remember that they are supposed to be people of Jannah. And they come from Jannah because they're pure. Fitrah. But dunya has made us forgotten all of this. Forgotten the power of Allah. So what must we do? We must be connected. This is when we're connected. We start to bring in the light from the Silsila, from the Awliyaullah, Saliheen, until it reaches to An-Nabi SAW. Then bit by bit, the feet will become lighter. It will become purified. And then it will go, this is not the path that I'm supposed to take. But it will take a while. We've been rooted or grouted in this darkness of dunya for so long. So the more you keep bringing in, recharging yourself, the more the feet will redirect itself to Ihdinas Siratul Mustaqim. Because that is the bridge of light. It's not the bridge that we see in this dunya. Only with light can you pass. Without light, you'll fall. Simple. Very simple. Like you all know, light vibrates, right? There's a vibration, right? The wave lah. Wave. Which means it's something that is there. It's doing zikr. Different colors of light have different wave length. So some go faster, slower, etc. And like I've said, all of you have light within you. Whether you remember that light or not, there is nur within you, right? Yes or no? So whether you are caught with the darkness, and you are locked in with the darkness, there is something within you that is constantly remembering Allah. But this dunya has made you forgotten that. You get what I'm trying to say? Like there's a microchip in every computer. And that microchip probably has its own energy source or something like that. Independent from what the computer has. Same thing. So if the computer breaks down, the chip continues to be running and be protected, whatever it is. The same thing. We all have that. So we just need to keep reminding ourselves through this majlis of zikr. So this majlis of zikr is not the majlis of dunya. It's like you don't get buffets. But what do you get? Through Inshallah. But also you get the tabaruk of the ruh. The spiritual food, you know? The nur, the light. So you replenish the nur, you go back. So from this week to next week, what are you going to use with this nur? What are you going to use this nur for in your life? Go back to your life and shine. Right? Shine the darkness in the life with this nur, if you want to. There are people, they keep the nur, I have the nur tau. What do you do? I have the nur. What are you going to do with the nur? I have the nur. Okay, what are you going to do with it? I don't know, but I have a lot of problems. Okay, so what are you going to do with it? I don't know, I have a lot of problems. You're not connecting. Like I was saying, in new age, meditation practice, they focus the light, like from the spinal cord, and it's all in the spine. Goes up until it goes to the head chakra. You see? It's all there. At the back. For the tariqa, where do they focus the light? In the heart. We don't focus at the back. For people new age, we probably focus at the back, but for Muslims, where do we focus? In the heart. Because this is the one that is facing the Qibla. Why do you want to face your back? So focus back in the light in the heart. Continue. So if you have problems, what must you do? Use the light in the heart to go back to your life. But how do you do that? It's so difficult, the concept. Sit down, connect with your Sheikh, and connect with your Silsila. Recite one Fatiha. Please allow me, allow this Nur to shine in my life. You'll see it will happen. Because that Nur is not yours. This life is also not yours. The problem can be ours because of the deeds that we do. But then we must come back to who? Allah. Asim. Ya Allah, remove me from Zulmati ilan Nur. Zulmati ilan Nur. You have it, every week we're giving. So from one this Thursday to the next Thursday, you just have to be connected. But don't be like the fellow who sleeps in the what? Blackout curtain room. When he opens his windows, right? And it's 12 o'clock because he misses Fajr. But what did he see? He becomes blind like the bats, like the vampire. Oh, I cannot take it. Oh, tidak. Burned away. Then at night he comes back. Misri Jam 12. But people like it because it's darkness. Allah given you light in yourself, you know? Within you, that means Fi anfusikum la tubsirun. It's within you, don't you see? So even if the your world is covered with blackout curtain, why do you have to look for light outside? When all you have to do is be connected and the room should be illuminated. Like how the followers of the Prophet s.a.w. They wanted to go back home and it was dark and Rasul s.a.w. touched his, blessed his staff. The sa'at, the the walking stick of a companion. It shone like a light. Shone. Prophet, he is light. So what's the problem? Giving light cannot go on. Duslawan. Be connected to an-Nabi s.a.w. Then you will realize that the darknesses around you would also retaliate. But just keep doing it. Keep doing it, keep doing it until the the darknesses all fade away and you become like that baby that has just been given birth to. Even if you're 50 and 60, people will go, Eeeh, but what? Eeeh. Because your heart is full of what? Nur. If your heart is full of Nur, people won't see that. Don't see the darkness, won't see anything. They just see the, Oh, masha'Allah. They come and they squeeze you here. They want to touch you, peel you. So that's why we do zikr. That's why it's you become khafif. You become light. You become very light. In sha'a Allah. Ya khair, in sha'a Allah. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept all of our du'as. Bless us and protect us, in sha'a Allah. And take away all of the darknesses in our life. Replace it with the light of Sayyidina Muhammad. Take away all of our ego that is holding on to this dunya. Take away all of our anger that is holding on to this dunya. Take away all of our nafsu that is holding on to this dunya. Take away all of our the whisperings and the disturbances of shaitan that is making us holding on to this dunya. And that's causing us to be anxious. And make us be like the people that like Imam bin Sha'arani and all of our sheikhs in the silsila. That they have managed to cross their journey in life with light, in sha'a Allah. And they return back to the nur of Sayyidina Muhammad. Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. May Allah bless all of our murshids. And protect them and raise their ranks in Jannah. And protect all of our muridins and muhibbins. And they all be protected and connected, in sha'a Allah. And be safe in dunya wal akhira. Ameen, ameen. Ya Rabbul Alamin.
