Hello everybody, my name is Kira Collins and today I'm going to be talking about one of my favorite books called The Last House on Needless Street by Katrina Ward. In the very first chapter, this book is captivating and intriguing and it's exactly what I was looking for in a good, fulfilling mystery book. The story follows a man named Ted Bannerman and it goes through his life and it includes hints of him having PTSD and it also, the story is about a mysterious missing girl. The book is actually narrated by many characters, which is one of my favorite elements of the book. So we get to see many different people's perspectives on the story. One of the characters that narrates the book is actually Ted's cat, Olivia, which also is another very interesting and unique element to the book. The main idea of the story revolves around the disappearance of a girl and the narrators are different versions of Ted and we later find out in the book that Ted actually has dissociative identity disorder. The book actually explores this real disorder at the very end of the book and the author provides information about this disorder and actually cites her sources, so it's also informative. And overall, I find this book unique, very well written, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you for listening to this short clip and have a good day.
