The Child Poverty Report is due to face the Scrutiny Board at Leeds City Council today. Councillor Fiona Venner is the Executive Board Member for Children's Social Care and Health Partnerships. She says that the Board has been listening to the voices of children when producing the Child Poverty Strategy. We've had children's manifestos about poverty. Poverty is one of the child's money needs wishes because it's something children are articulating concern about and the fact that we've made that one of the wishes is an indication of how we do listen to the voices of children. An inquest has heard a grandmother died of unsurvivable dog bite wounds after being attacked by XL bullies. Esther Martin, who was 68, was found unresponsive at a house in Jaywick in Essex earlier this month. A 39-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous dog offences has been bailed out until March. A crackdown on waste management areas in Leeds has resulted in many households receiving council issued fines. Fines range between £60 and £100 with much higher penalties coming into play if the initial amount is not paid on time. Here's reporter Ben Dinning with more. Leeds residents are being stung with council issued fines after the latest waste management crackdown. Leeds City Council have generated more than £15,000 in fines as residents continue to leave their rubbish out in the street. Behaviour like this can encourage vermin and fly tipping in the student dominated areas. In light of this, residents in the Headingley area have had their say on the waste management service and voiced their feelings on the new fining system. I just think that it is honestly ridiculous because we're told, you know, leave the bins, take the bins out Tuesday night, either early Wednesday morning, whatever, and then they'll get picked up, cleared on Wednesday morning and then you can bring them back in so you don't get fined. And then when we go out at like Wednesday afternoon, even Wednesday night, they're still full. Personally, I think it's absolutely ridiculous. We put our bins out every Tuesday, like the council timetable suggests, and they don't empty them until Thursday. And then we've been fined for their incompetence. It's a bit of an inconvenience as every week we have to put the bins out on a Wednesday and a different bin on a Thursday. However, sometimes the bin men don't come and we're forced to leave them out on the days when they're not supposed to collect them. And the council are quick on fining us. However, I'm pretty sure the bin men won't get fined for not collecting the bins. Despite multiple opportunities, Leeds City Council refrained to comment. The Post Office Minister says they are looking to speed up compensation to those caught up in the Horizon IT scandal. Kevin Hollinrake said that so far £160m has been paid up to over 2,700 victims affected. Political procedure overshadowed a Commons debate on Gaza, with the Speaker now fighting for his job. Sir Lindsay Hoyle has made an unusual move to allow a Labour amendment on another opposition in motion, belonging to the SNP. He apologised, thus 49 MPs are supporting a no-confidence motion. But Jess Phillips, who recently quit Labour's top team to support a ceasefire, has called the chaos a disgrace. Now over to Molly Cook with the spot. Scotland has made three changes to their teams as six nations clash with England at Murrayfield on Saturday. They will include a first appearance in this year's competition for full-black Blair Kinghorn plus recalls for Kyle Stane and Jamie Ritchie. Wales and Ireland are set to face each other this Saturday in week three of the six nations. Wales are equipped with the youngest players to date. Professional rugby player Jakey predicts how Saturday will unfold. We have a chance against Ireland this weekend. They're too much on form. They beat France in the opening round of the six nations. But I think we'll put on a good show. We always perform out in Ireland. It wouldn't mean the world for Wales to win on Saturday, but unfortunately I can't see that happening. Leeds United hopes for promotion may fall short as their striker Patrick Bamford still has not come back from injury. Tomorrow's Leeds United face Leicester City in the Championship. Bamford has proven to be a core individual within the team, so his presence would be huge for Leeds United. Wolves League Cup winning goalkeeper Paul Bradshaw has died at the age of 67.
