This is a podcast called California Nurses for Environmental Health and Justice. It aims to educate nurses and others about the connection between people and the environment. The hosts, Kathleen and Jacinda, want to provide information on topics like toxic chemicals, sustainable food, green hospitals, and environmental justice. The goal is to give evidence-based knowledge so that listeners can make healthier choices in their daily lives. The first segment is called "Exposing the Toxic Truth." Welcome to the California Nurses for Environmental Health and Justice podcast. This is a podcast for nurses or anyone really that cares about the relationship between people and their environment. We see this as a crash course on environmental health that may have barely been touched on in nursing schools. We are nurses who are curious like you, who want to learn about toxic chemicals found in our everyday lives, to sustainable food and agriculture. What do green hospitals look like? What is environmental justice? And the list goes on. My name is Kathleen. And I'm Jacinda. And we wanted to start a podcast to bring what we are learning to nurses, patients and communities. Our goal for this podcast is to give you evidence based knowledge so you can advocate for healthier, safer choices in the places you live, work and play. So stay tuned as we launch the first segment of our podcast touching on toxic chemicals in our daily lives called Exposing the Toxic Truth.
