The Table Stories podcast explores memorable culinary experiences, both good and bad. In this episode, Carolina Perez Castellanos shares a gastronomic horror story about a restaurant with terrible food and service. Despite starting well, the main courses were a disaster - wilted salad, boiled meat, raw steak, and reheated lasagna. The restaurant staff ignored their complaints, so they decided to leave. The only positive was a nearby table's boy playing a prank. Carolina advises speaking up if something is wrong at a restaurant and leaving if the staff doesn't respond appropriately. Welcome to Table Stories, the podcast where we explore the most memorable culinary experience good and bad. My name is Carolina Perez Castellanos and today we bring you a gastronomic horror story in a restaurant that will leave your taste buds in shock. Today we are going to dive into an unfortunate experience I had at a restaurant with some thieves. I want to tell you about the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. It was a few months ago when I decided to take my family to a new restaurant that had opened in the city. Everything started well, we sat at a table, the food was nice and we were excited to try the food. But soon, things began to take an unpleasant turn. We ordered our drinks and entrees and everything seemed to go well, but when the main courses arrived, everything fell apart. My mom ordered a salad that was wilted and had a strange smell, my brother received his hamburger with boiled meat, my dad when he tried his steak he realized it was raw, and my lasagna as if it had been prepared hours ago and simply reheated before they can serve. What a mess! And the worst thing was the reaction of the restaurant staff. When we tried to get the wider population to explain the situation, he simply ignored us. We had to get up and find the manager, who also didn't seem concerned about our bad experience. They offered to replace the dish, but at that point we had already lost our appetite and decided to leave. What a great disappointment! The only good thing about the night was that a boy from a nearby table approached my brother and said that I want you to take me to the bathroom. My brother turned pale, we all stared at him when a distressed young woman appeared. It turns out that the boy likes to make that kind of jokes. My parents and I couldn't laugh, my brother was speechless because the boy did have a physical resemblance to him. I want to tell you that you definitely shouldn't be afraid to voice your concerns if something isn't right at a restaurant and if the staff doesn't respond appropriately, don't hesitate to leave. Quality of food and service should be a priority in any established note.
