Fiona agrees to marry Lord Farquaad, which upsets Shrek who loves her. Donkey tries to explain the situation to Shrek, but he is still angry. Fiona gets ready for the wedding, but is also sad. Donkey convinces Shrek to go after Fiona. Shrek interrupts the wedding and confesses his love for Fiona. Fiona turns into an ogre and Shrek realizes his mistake. The guards come, but Shrek calls the dragon who eats Farquaad. Fiona and Shrek kiss and get married in the swamp with their friends as guests. In this scene, Fiona accepts to marry with Lord Farquaad, that's a day before the sunset. While this is happening, Shrek goes on his way mad and sad because he loves Fiona, but now she is going to get married with someone else. Donkey sees that Shrek is still mad, so he tries to explain Shrek what is really happening with Fiona, but Shrek is also mad with Donkey, so he continues on. Then we see Fiona is getting prepared for the wedding, but she and Shrek is really sad for what happened between them. And then Donkey comes back to the swamp with Shrek and they start complaining, that's when Donkey explains to Shrek that he misunderstands everything and that he considers Shrek as his friend and he should go for Fiona. So they together go with the dragon to start the wedding, and when he gets into the castle he tries to convince Fiona to not get married with Farquaad, but Fiona is mad with Shrek, but then Farquaad realizes that Shrek is doing this because he loves Fiona and that's when the sunset starts, so Fiona turns into an ogre and Shrek finally understands everything, but then the guards enter, so Shrek has to call the dragon, so the dragon enters and eats Farquaad. After that Fiona and Shrek kiss and Fiona turn into an ogre forever, and they get married in the swamp with the village and all the fairy tale creatures as guests.
