The HUNGARIAN ‘VERBUNK’ of the 19th century - what is it? Where did it come form? Fiery and spirited, it swept Europe and was linked with the music of Liszt. Liszt was greatly influenced by music he heard as a child-often incorrectly referred to as Hungarian folk music.
