He also talks about Jade Cargill's potential in WWE and predicts a win for Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill. He looks forward to a ladder match for the tag team titles and discusses the potential split of the Judgment Day team. Welcome, welcome, welcome to the most controversial podcast ever created. I'm your host, the most controversial of them all, Big Cam. I know I've been kind of quiet on the podcast for a while, I've had a little bit going on right now, that and just trying to sort things out for some future guests, I'm trying to get at least a couple episodes out here within the next couple of weeks, that and just quite a bit going on right now, you know, with school and all that, but that doesn't mean I'm gone. I'm back and I've got a big episode today for all you guys. But before we get into it, I hope everyone is aware, today is the final four, good luck to everybody, giving it everything they got. Trying to remember, NC State plays Purdue, and UConn will play Alabama. National Championship is Monday night, and then the Women's National Championship is tomorrow night, between Iowa and undefeated South Carolina. That's going to be a fun game. I'm rooting for you, Caitlin Clark, to finish your college career with a banger. She is going to finish her story tomorrow night, and there's another person that's going to finish their story tomorrow night, and that jumps into today's topic. As you know, my favorite weekend is finally here. It's WrestleMania weekend, baby! This is the one time of the year I get so hyped up about, with me being a wrestling fan, and coming from a family of wrestling fans, and with me pursuing it back home, back home with a local promotion. This is the big deal for me. I assume everyone's been wanting to see this podcast, but now the day is finally here. Today, on this podcast, I'm going to go through the full match card, and I will also give you guys my predictions, and my big hot takes for WrestleMania 40, live in Lincoln Financial Field, in beautiful Philadelphia, the home of your Philadelphia Eagles. Looking forward to this, but it's going to be awesome. So, without further introducing everything, let's go ahead and jump straight to it. So, I think there are some hot takes we need to think about. I'm going to go through them as I go through the podcast. I've been going back and forth with my dad about potential surprises, returns, debuts. Returns, I actually think, are piling up, because this is WrestleMania 40, and this is the first WrestleMania with Triple H now fully in charge. Steady McMahon, out. Shane McMahon, out. Vince McMahon, out, out. Hopefully he's in jail soon. I don't freaking know. The story's crazy enough, but I just hope Triple H can pull through with this Mania, especially with this being the 40th anniversary. As for big surprises, returns, there's quite a pile of them. A couple of them that are on my list include John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker. And then I was thinking about it, and I heard potentially rumors, potentially about even, I don't know, about Chris Stratus coming back, which I could see happening. I mean, let's think about it. We haven't seen her since September, when she lost to Becky Lynch in the Steel Cage match at Payback, which was back in September. So if she comes back, there's a possibility, but you never know. As for debuts, there's rumors a new Mysterious Bloodline member could make his name. I don't know who or what. The whole Bloodline story has just been wild enough, to say the least. Another surprise I could see, there's been quite a bit of rumors for months about this legend appearing, and he was at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night. And that man I'm talking about is Rikishi. There's rumors he could potentially get involved, or potentially sort things out with Jey Uso versus his brother Jimmy. We're gonna get into that in a little bit. Will Rikishi appear? I think there's a good possibility. Everybody is in Philly for Mania weekend. This is a big deal. WrestleMania normally gets so much hype every year, but this year's Mania has been considered probably the most hyped-up Mania in years, which I'm looking forward to it myself. It's WrestleMania 40, it's in Philly, at Lincoln Financial Field. I don't know if anyone heard about the stage reveal this past Thursday night, but the stage was revealed by the Ninja Kids. The stage, it's not bad, but it's kind of basic. I put out the poll on Instagram, on my Instagram to get your guys' opinions, if you guys thought it did look too basic, or does it look wonderful. I rated the WrestleMania set 7 out of 10. The positive side, I like the big XL letters. That's nice. But my favorite thing are the colors, really brings out the Philadelphia Eagles, since it is in Lincoln Financial Field. But also, on the center of the main stage, where everyone comes out, there's also a Liberty Bell with the WWE logo swaying back and forth, which is awesome. Definitely a proud Philly deal, in my opinion. And speaking of surprises, definitely expect some of the Philadelphia Eagles to be in attendance. I know it. I mean, I saw in the kickoff, The Rock roasted the Philadelphia Eagles fans about Jalen Hurts, and then there's also rumors that Jason Kelce might make an appearance. I would personally love to see Kelce make an appearance. He just retired, even WWE had interest in bringing him in for some sort of segment. You never know, WrestleMania, there's always a whole bunch of swerves and a whole bunch of surprises. But with all that, let's now get into the card. WrestleMania Saturday is tonight, so we're going to do WrestleMania Saturday first. So let's break down the card. First up for WrestleMania Saturday, originally, it was supposed to be Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio teaming with Dragon Lee to face Santos Escobar and Dominic Mysterio. But just last night on SmackDown, Dragon Lee was attacked backstage by somebody. We don't know who. But Andrade has now stepped in at the turn on what Kyle Del Fantasma is now aligning with the Latino World Order. So it has now been made official, it will be Rey Mysterio and Andrade versus Santos Escobar and Rey's son, Dominic Mysterio. I kind of see it like this. The whole war with the Latino World Order and Legado Del Fantasma is becoming something. I do kind of see the LWO split at some point. Mysterio, in my opinion, I think is going to retire here within the next year or two. John King Wilde and Cruz Del Toro are also kind of doing their thing in NXT right now, sort of. Then they brought back Carlito, but I feel like just not much has happened. When Rey Mysterio announced the previous week the match for Mania and then his tag partner, everybody wanted to be Carlito. But the moment ended up being Dragon Lee. I was excited because Dragon Lee is the future of Lucha Libre and is one of the biggest signings WWE has had in a while. He's a big international star. He was successful in New Japan and he was successful in Ring of Honor. But then when he was found backstage, attacked and hurt last night on SmackDown, everyone knew it was Carlito. Everyone could see his facial expressions. It's just how he's acting. I already know it's Carlito. When he's a heel, he can get pretty nasty. So that's why my prediction, Santos Escobar and Dominic Mysterio win tonight. And Carlito turns heel and turns on Rey Mysterio and the Latino World Order. Next up, we have Bianca Belair, Naomi and Jade Cargill. And Jade Cargill, WWE signing from AEW, teaming up to battle Damage Control consisting of Dakota Kai and the Women's Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane. We gotta understand something. Jade Cargill being signed, big deal. This is her first big story in WWE right now. She's now officially on the blue brand. She's now officially with SmackDown, has a good alliance with the veteran Naomi and Bianca Belair. In AEW, she was a star. She was one of the best female talent I'd seen in a while. And she had me so impressed in the Royal Rumble back in January. She pretty much lifted up Nia Jax like she's light work and got her over the top rope with Eve. Jade Cargill is the future of the women's division. My prediction, Bianca Belair, Naomi and Jade Cargill defeat Damage Control. Next up, I'm looking forward to this one. This is probably going to be one of my favorite matchups for the whole weekend. The six pack ladder match for the tag team titles. The Judgment Day. Finn Balor, Damian Priest putting the titles on the line against five other teams. Consisting of Awesome Truth with R-Truth and The Miz. Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Organo, DIY. The New Day. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods. Austin Deering, Grayson Waller and The New Catch Republic. Consisting of Tyler Bate and Heat Dunn. This is going to be an interesting match. The ladder match is one of my favorite match types in all pro wrestling. It is extreme. It is fierce. I love the more extreme matches because it can really bring out the big OMG moments in a wrestling match which can really make the whole event in general pop in a positive way and get the fans on their feet. So here's the thing. R-Truth, everyone wants him to have his WrestleMania moment. Yes, I get that. But let's be honest. He's never won at Mania. The tag team partner, The Miz, knows WrestleMania well. His main event at WrestleMania before in 2011 is who he beat in the main event of WrestleMania 27 in 2011. John Cena retained the WWE title that year. 2011 was the year of The Miz. We have to look at the Judgment Day. Damian Priest, Finn Balor have been on a roll lately. Two of the best in the roster right now. But there's been some teases. Of the Judgment Day splitting up. Finn Balor, Damian Priest possibly losing the titles. Plus, we're going to talk more about Damian Priest later on in the podcast. We will get to him some more later. Dominic Mysterio aligning with Legado del Metasma to feud with his dad, Rey Mysterio, for the second time. Jey McDonough being a jobber losing all his matches. Rhea Ripley's the only one that's really continuing to bring out the success in the Judgment Day. And it's kind of starting to outshadow the rest of the group. So, I think at Mania, it will be Judgment Day for the Judgment Day. I love Priest and Balor. I love the Judgment Day. But at Mania, tonight, time is up. I say awesome truth. When can R-Truth finally get his WrestleMania moment? Let's think about it. He is extremely over with the crowd. He's one of the biggest fan favorites yet. He climbs the ladder, retrieves the titles, gets a giant pop from the crowd in Philly tonight. And I will admit, I'm going to be a fan screaming for that moment. So, my final prediction, R-Truth in the Miz win the ladder match and become new tag team champions. Now, we're getting into some of the bigger matches heading into tonight. Next up, we will address the Intercontinental Championship match. Guther, won the Intercontinental title back in 2022 on SmackDown vs Ricochet, has been successful ever since. Guther is set to defend the Intercontinental title tonight against Sami Zayn. This is a unique match. Guther is an old school wrestler, but he brings it out like it's something else. Brings out a more dangerous side of old school wrestling, in my opinion, with the way he strikes and kicks. And I'm a fan of it. Sami Zayn is a three-time Intercontinental champion. He's won the title a few times before and has defended it at WrestleMania before. Sami Zayn has had his WrestleMania moments before. Even Kevin Owens, last year, in the main event of night one, dethroned the Usos for the undisputed tag team titles last year. Guther, his current reign as IC champion, has been impressive. He's already broken the record. He's the longest all-time Intercontinental champion. Longest reign ever. And longest reign of the modern era as well. Beat the Honky Tonk Man's record a couple months back after beating Chad Gable. Besides, there is some controversy about Chad Gable and Sami Zayn kind of butting heads. Because I think Chad Gable's feeling the jealousy about Sami Zayn. I think it'll make for an interesting story. I love Sami. He is a hero. I love Guther as well. He's a great classic wrestler. And he's got a future ahead of him. Once Guther drops the IC title, he's definitely going to be in the world title picture. No question. But it's got to wait a little longer. My final prediction, Guther defeats Sami Zayn to retain the Intercontinental Championship tonight. Also tonight, this is one of the most anticipated matchups of the whole weekend. The third time in history, two brothers fight each other at Mania. First time it happened, Bret versus Owen Hart at WrestleMania 10. 2009, Jeff and Matt Hardy fought each other at WrestleMania 25. This year, Jey versus Jimmy Uso. I don't really have to talk much about this one. Because I already have a good feeling about it. I'm going with Jey Uso. I'm Team Yeet all the way for this one. I mean both Uso's as singles competitors are not really the best. But Jey has actually gotten better as a singles competitor as of late. Because hear me out. 2020, Jimmy Uso was out for quite a bit because of injury. Jey stepped up. He's taken Roman Reigns to the limit in three of Roman's title matches throughout his historic reign. Plus, in my opinion, Jimmy is just not a good singles wrestler in general. I feel like he's not the greatest wrestler in general in any way. He has to get carried by either Sol Sikoa or by Jey Uso either way. My final prediction, Jey Uso defeats Jimmy. Next up, Rhea Ripley representing the Judgment Day. She's putting her women's world title on the line against the man, Becky Lynch. This is going to be a fun matchup, ladies and gentlemen. But hear me out on this. Becky Lynch is the man for a reason. She's won all the gold. She's won it all. From RAW, from SmackDown, from NXT. Future Hall of Famer. Perhaps a freaking loot leap. Grand Slam champion. Hall of Fame status. Becky Lynch is definitely going to be there down the road eventually. Rhea Ripley is at an all-time high with her career. She's at an all-time high. Won the title at last year's Mania in night one against Charlotte Flair. And in a classic co-main event match. And has been able to defend that title so successfully against the likes of many stars. Such as Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Zoey Stark, Natalya, Zelina Vega. Rhea Ripley has beaten them all. Becky will be her toughest. But Ripley is in her prime. She's already held the title for over a year. She's passed the one-year mark. And she's not stopping anytime soon. My final prediction. Rhea Ripley retains over Becky Lynch. And then we are now at the main event of WrestleMania Saturday. The big tag match everyone's been waiting for. Roman Reigns and The Rock versus Seth Rollins. And Cody Rose. There's just so much to talk about. But with this whole story. Because this whole story is also going to be big on night two. But I'm just going to keep it short and simple. Because we still have a whole nother part we got to deal with. The Rock returns for a reason. Seth to face Roman Reigns for the title at Mania. At the WrestleMania kickoff event back in February. Then Cody comes out. The Rock and Rose start talking about each other's families. Slap and slap. Cody crybabies. Rocky sucks. Million controversies and comments. Flying everywhere. The Rock and Cody Rose have ended the PG era. And we have now entered the new Renaissance era of WWE. Blood, swearing, everything that made WWE so special back then is back. And it's better than ever now. The Rock has played a big role as the quote final boss. Roman Reigns, I feel like not taking this so smooth. But who knows? We're going to get into that part in a little bit. When we get to night two. That's, that's to come here soon eventually. We already know out of everyone in that tag match. They're all going to have a busy night. Reigns and Rose fight each other for the undisputed WWE universal title tomorrow night. They said Rollins has to defend his world heavyweight title against Drew McIntyre tomorrow night as well. We have to realize that. So how can we predict this? Well, it's not just a tag match. There's a stipulation. If Rose and Rollins win, the bloodline is completely banned from ringside. Everyone is gone. And it's a regular one on one. But Roman Reigns and Rock win. It's bloodline rules at night two for Rose versus Reigns. Rose wants to overcome the entire, the entire bloodline just to have a shot at glory. To win the title his father never won. The one title he really wants to win in honor of his father. The hall of famer, the legendary American dream. Just be Rose. But he's got one big goal. Finish the story. I know he's going to do it. I know he will. It's only for a matter of time when that happens. It could happen tomorrow night. It could happen at SummerSlam. It may never happen. Who knows? My final prediction for the tag match. The Rock and Roman Reigns win and make Reigns versus Rose two tomorrow night. Bloodline rules sets up the possibility of Cody finishing the story. So that is WrestleMania night one. Now we're going to break down night two for WrestleMania, which is tomorrow night. Oh my gosh. So let's begin. First up, this was just announced just not long ago. This was announced about a week ago. A six-man tag team Philly street fight between Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits, The Pride versus Karrion Kross and the Authors of Pain, The Final Testament. This feud's been going for a while now. Karrion Kross and Bobby Lashley are some interesting superstars. Bobby Lashley has impressed me for a long time. I've always liked him. And I've always liked the Street Profits. AOP and Karrion Kross, I think have bright futures. And I think Mania will truly start it. But I don't think it's going to happen at Mania right now. Mania right now, my foul prediction, Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits win the street fight and to beat Karrion Kross and AOP. Next up of all the matches, I think this next match will be the wildcard match of the whole weekend. LA Knight versus The Phenomenal A.K. Came out on this one. This feud has been building since the Royal Rumble when those two had a chance to fight Roman Reigns for his championship. They both ended up losing. Roman retained that night. And their feud has been getting uglier and uglier ever since. LA Knight qualified for Elimination Chamber. But what happened? A.J. Stiles interfered, hit a Stiles Clash, and screwed LA Knight in Perk, Australia. Then the rivalry gets personal than ever. LA Knight goes all the way to A.J. Stiles' home in his hometown of Gainesville, Georgia. It attacks him in his front yard. Law enforcement is involved. Then just recently on Thursday at the media event, those two got into it again. And A.J. Stiles ended up getting a bloody nose. Now, but the big problem we have, it was already cited out that A.J. Stiles is getting close to retirement. He doesn't have much time left. And he's getting older. He's been involved in this for so long. So I think A.J. Stiles is going to put LA Knight over in a good, positive way. My final prediction? LA Knight defeats A.J. Stiles. Yeah. And gets his big WrestleMania moment. Next up, the WWE Women's Championship is on the line. Io Skye defends against the winner of the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble, Bayley. Now, Bayley was kicked out of damage control by Io Skye and Dakota Kai. Well, Io Skye started all of it. But then once we thought Dakota Kai was on Bayley's side, we found out obviously we can't trust her. So Dakota Kai turns on Bayley and signs herself with damage control. Io Skye's reign as champion, in my opinion, has kind of been disappointing, to be honest. She has not been booked to defend that title that much. I think she's only defended it like three times, to the best of my knowledge. At Fastlane, against Asuka and Charlotte Flair back in October. November at Crown Jewels, defending against Bianca Belair. And then they ran a best of the SmackDown when she defended against Mia Yim. Unless there's any other ones, that's the ones I can remember. Bayley has worked hard since she returned from injury. In 2022. With win and loss, after win and loss, after win and loss. Just to get back to where she wants to be. So my final prediction, Bayley wins the WWE Women's Championship. And interesting fact, Bayley has competed at WrestleMania before a couple times. But this is the first time a WrestleMania Bayley has ever wrestled a singles match. All of her matches have been tag matches. Whether it's a six person, regular tag match, Bayley four way, triple threat, this, that. She's never had a singles match at Mania. I'm looking forward to this one. There's actually quite a bit of hype for this next match. The triple threat match for the United States Championship. The cocky, arrogant, grunt, drinking maverick, Logan Paul. Defends against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. I've already been hearing there's a possibility that Logan Paul will probably retain. Probably from a business perspective. Especially since it was announced that WWE and Primer now have a partnership. So now they're definitely to show they're definitely gonna keep Logan Paul around for whatever. Don't get me wrong. I do like Logan Paul's ring ability, but his ego, it sucks so bad, okay? It really does. Now let's look at Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Those are two unique stars. Kevin Owens, one of the best today. Randy Orton, one of the best of all time. Randy Orton is used to the WrestleMania lights. He's main evented before. He's had so many WrestleMania moments. Faced The Undertaker there. He's won the WWE title there before. He's main evented before. He's done almost all of it, if you want me to be honest. But Randy Orton, he has won the United States title before. But he's only won the title once. Only one time. Kevin Owens is a multi-time US champion. Logan Paul is currently in his first ring. But I'm not a fan of the ring because he hardly defends the title. And I cannot stand hard time champions. So my final prediction, Randy Orton completes his comeback story after being out for 18 months with a back injury and wins his second United States championship. And then him and Kevin Owens, I think, will probably feud for the title for a bit eventually as well. Co-main event for WrestleMania Night 2, Seth Rollins defends the World Heavyweight Championship against the Elimination Chamber winner, Drew McIntyre. McIntyre is red hot with his heel personality. He's cheering to troll and bury CM Punk. After CM Punk got injured at the Royal Rumble and announced he will not be able to compete at Mania. But it was announced CM Punk will be on commentary for McIntyre's match at Mania. Which I'm looking forward to that. Now, Seth Rollins, we know, will be 100% banged up for his match with McIntyre. Because he's got a big tag match with Rock and Roman tonight to get through first. Plus, we know Rollins has been carrying that title like a true prize fighting champion since he won the title at Night of Champions back in May last year. Defended against numerous opponents on numerous occasions. Had to overcome a back injury and torn meniscus in his knee just to be a champion. And to show that he can be a better champion than Roman Reigns. Which I'd like that. Which that one's probably going to get some controversy later, but who knows. But, I'm sorry Rollins, but the time is up. Because I think after Mania weekend, Rollins will take some time off to heal up from his injuries. And just some time off in general for the work he's been putting in. My final prediction, Drew McIntyre wins the World Heavyweight Championship. But, hold on a minute. There's a swerve to this. I did mention Damian Priest earlier. He won the Money in the Bank, Bank ladder match last year in July. Still has it. Everyone sees it. I think it's going to happen. Damian Priest cashes in on Drew McIntyre and becomes champion. Damian Priest beats McIntyre after having his WrestleMania moment, and he becomes champion. Leaving McIntyre all vulnerable for revenge. And then, we're finally here. The biggest Mania event in a long time, if not ever. Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, part two. Let's remember, these two went at it last year, after Cody Rhodes returned from tearing his pectoral muscle at Hell in a Cell. Won the Royal Rumble, eliminated Gunther. Him and Roman Reigns took each other to the limit last year's Mania. Roman Reigns took each other to the limit last year's Mania. Here's what it looked like. Rhodes was going to win. What happened? Soles to Cole and gone bald. Nailed a Samoan spike. Roman Reigns hits a spear, pins Rhodes. Angry fans, as Roman retains. Ever since then, Cody has gotten better and better and better. Beating opponent, after opponent, after opponent. At event, after event, after event. Now, Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble this year. He's won it back to back. I guarantee, this time, it's going to happen. There's going to be chaos everywhere. With sides for Cody Rhodes and also for the Bloodline. All getting involved. Feeding the linen snot out of each other. Just for one man to come out on top. Now, there's some guaranteed stuff to come out of this match. Either way, whoever wins, big changes are coming up. Now, I predicted it's going to be Bloodline rules, obviously. Everyone can agree on that. So, I guess, my prediction, it's going to go like this. I'm kind of 50-50, to be honest. Because there's been so many Easter eggs thrown out. To the point, I don't even know anymore, who's got the upper hand. But you know what? I'm a man of my word. And I think this year's the year. My final prediction, Cody Rhodes finishes the story. To Thrones, Roman Reigns wins the one title. His Hall of Fame dad, Dusty, could never win. And finishes the story and becomes champion. And then Roman Reigns takes time off again. But I think for real this time. Plus, after this weekend, The Rock is going to be away. From WWE for a while, because he's starting production for a new movie coming up. He's going straight to it. But without being said, that is my WrestleMania prediction. Do you guys have any other predictions? Trust me, it's going to be a weekend to remember. I can't wait. I hope you guys are just as excited as me. But with that being said. That officially concludes today's episode of Big Can's Controversial Podcast. Love all you guys from the bottom of the heart that I still breathe. And make sure you enjoy an incredible WrestleMania weekend. And also remember, if you're ever interested in being a guest on my podcast. You can always reach out to me on social media to request an episode all to you. And with that being said. That concludes today's episode of Big Can's Controversial Podcast.
