Tyler Yoder thanks thanks for having thanks for joining there man I'm good I'm so happy to be here I've been looking forward to this like as soon as I heard about it I heard people telling me you want you want to be on your podcast I was like dude like man name a time and a place and I'm there I never expected a guest like you to be on here I mean I've already had a couple good episodes already had a couple good episodes I've already ran to so two solo episodes and now I get the wrong one with someone who's well known in our area which is an absolute blessing to see but we got just the elephant in the room about something real quick so you're known for one thing and everyone can agree with me on this you're well known for your back in five shows isn't that right oh yeah yeah I remember remember watching you try out you stood out as something interesting to say the least thanks man um you should definitely try out again next year because yeah towards the end of the year while auditions again but I I I didn't know you well before that and I sat down next to you and talked to you a little bit it was really cool I knew I recognized your face from somewhere I thought so I was like you know what screw it muzzle talk to this dude you did this guy with the blonde head to the blonde hair see what he's up to yeah bro um yeah I'm really honored to be here you're you're a legend on campus as well and I'm a freshman I know bro there's a legend on campus that are much older than me I mean I could go ahead and name one on my chest right now and that's a Malone yeah he transferred actually what a shame you had to leave us bro but don't worry I haven't been effective writing all talk to him there you go but it back at five no you were hilarious I remember I think at tryouts you were doing a lot of goofy stuff I mean acting like you were Tinkerbell yeah and believe it or not that was like my fourth or time auditioning I believe I uh you are old well they did two last year and then they did two this year but I finally made it this time I made this callbacks the last three times but you are old bro you can make me feel old I'm only 20 hey man I'm the same age as you you older or younger than me I my birthday is November 6 yep I'm older dang man I'm the oldest freshman alive right now well actually no I'm not this I know someone I actually know a freshman here that's older than me so nope hey where you in high school at so I graduated from Como High School last year which sounds familiar because of a recruit Florida Dung obviously that's I actually knew the new dude from from an interesting level he was one of the most interesting figures I actually ever met in high school which was awesome he brought so much to us recently just played in a McDonald's all-american and all-star game I believe it was so obviously prepared finishing up his senior year parents a graduate this coming June and it will be heading off to Kansas in August sweet boy long play for the legendary Bill South himself day I know no cliche there yeah I didn't I didn't know something special like that will come out of cook well oh my oh trust me and my town my town is unique of the floor and now I'm Deborah with me being on this campus I have put this town on the map mm-hmm you're the you're you're a well-known wrestler that's where I heard yep you put you just posted reposted that whole story on your Instagram the other day I posted in myself mm-hmm I saw you chokeslam that guy but that guy wasn't feeling for sorry sorry Bruce there hope you don't have to play there because I ended up chokeslamming him and cost in the match and help Tanner tell you tell I get the win that night dang dude yeah pretty competitive back and forth match between two two rising stars the two future future champions yeah um yeah I saw that I was like I was shocked I was like no way he's part of a wrestling this is why I am probably one of the most interesting figures on campus who ever thought a great college student would actually be so passionate into this crazy stuff and is now actually doing it for real back home his hometown yeah man we're getting ready to hit the road to Sharpsville here in a couple weeks actually mm-hmm that's legendary bro so it's gonna be it's actually a big deal to be honest yeah yeah um you're gonna be wrestling in Sharpsville I'm not sure what the exact gameplay it's good it's good it's going to be for me it in April but it's gonna be something awesome I'll go ahead just guarantee it we love to bring out the awesomeness in all our shows there you go you can chokeslam a few guys yeah who knows who knows what we're gonna chokeslam might chokeslam this person might chokeslam this person might chokeslam this person's mommy I might chokeslam this person's daddy your brother your sister you name it not the mommy people love to run their mouth at the shows because my fact my faction and I we are hated by the fans that is us doing our job mm-hmm you gotta be disliked if you're the villain of the show absolutely go out to the crowd and chokeslam them who knows who knows I might even chokeslam everyone in my in my dorm in my dorm right now mm-hmm and who knows hopefully you're hearing that who knows Barry might come find you do a fake special surprise appearance at back at five yeah chokeslam me on the stage that would be funny it totally would be everyone would totally want to witness that yeah and I'm calling it too bro you could you could open up for our show and just go all out bring out bring out a table chokeslam someone through the table get a pop from the back and five crowd and then and then disappear back into the shadows that I crawled out of yep like a like a ninja turtle you ain't gonna be crawling out of shadows much longer you can't blow up man you're gonna chokeslam your way to fame oh everyone say that Gersh already told me text him again when I'm famous dude don't forget about me man I definitely won't be who knows I'll be making special appearances out here to my hometown for stuff thank you bro do you plan to go to the WWE or whatever now the tryouts would be an interesting deal but man it would be quite a trip just to get out there right that'd be a dream but again I don't know I really don't know who's again I'm actually happy with where I'm at right now there you go but you told me before we even started this pockets when you arrived today you're you used to be into this stuff yourself as a kid I did I was a big Steve Austin fan my dad my dad loves Stone Cold Steve Austin he is my dad's all-time favorite my dad won't buy all my dad wants badly is some of the Stone Cold's beer because he had he makes his own beer I know the American Skull Lager mm-hmm so that's something I might I want to do for him eventually is get his buy some for him yeah um I I have an autograph of Steve Austin in my dorm actually I I was a really big fan as well I was hoping he'd be a WrestleMania cuz like I saw his Instagram stuff he was getting jacked and everybody was there are some rumors that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be at this weekend there's rumors of a bunch of wrestlers being there including possibly him Hulk Hogan Kane the Undertaker and John Cena oh I'm tired of John Cena everyone does not shut up about him everyone in the beta hall never shuts up about mr. about the leader of the Cena nation himself but I mean he is all about that hustle loyalty and respect right yeah bro you should hustle loyalty and respect and with the chokeslam I want to see Brock Lesnar make an appearance nah did you hear he can't come back to WWE man hold on a minute I know you're this is your first time on here but I'm gonna go ahead and just make something kind of clear that horn means controversy controversy time I he technically is allowed to come back actually yes he he was his name was at least brought up in the whole sex trafficking situation and to everyone listening just because I just said that does not mean I support it that's what he was involved in if you don't understand that part and they start rolling your brain always the guys with the man but but I mean he's a jacked-up farmer also a WWE legend and a UFC legend he wasn't told ever was also he was a successful amateur wrestler with University of Minnesota after transferring he grew up he grew up perhaps doing all this stuff because he had been doing so much physical labor throughout his life because again he grew up on a farm so no wonder he's that jacked but you gotta realize something his name was cleared Mr. McMahon still in a bit of a hole with with all with all this his eyes his name is not even allowed to be mentioned anymore by the company and this is the first WrestleMania without him yeah which I'm blessed about I'm kind of seeing it cuz there's been some interesting interesting swerves for night one already that nobody saw coming which I will be doing the wrestle I will be doing a post WrestleMania podcast later in the week to discuss that yeah because there are some swerves that I think everyone should actually just be aware of at least man I don't know but I hate his man bun videos bro anytime somebody has a man bun I just can't associate with that well I assume you hate guys with long hair in general but sometimes so you kind of hate yourself that's a word for it I mean you said you don't like like buns yeah I never put mine in a bun though that was too long that's why I never grow my hair out for that long I like to keep mine just all short and natural that's it plus since I wear a mask for my character back home I have to keep it short and I got maintain you know like a fresh shave as well I'll let it grow out when whenever whenever whenever I don't have shows going on but whenever it's like show week or close to it I will I will shave right dude I don't know I never used to pay attention to the women's wrestlers but Rhea Ripley dude she's top tier yes everyone has been discussed discussing Rhea Ripley lately she just beat Becky Lynch last night to retain the war the women's world heavyweight title to kick off night one yeah so Ripley's year-long reign reign continues which I think was definitely the right call that was my prediction if you had listened to my WrestleMania special yesterday Buddy Holly's a lucky man. AW's Buddy Matthews member of the House of Blacks he he is a lucky dude because Rhea Ripley is so popular with the crowd and I saw Motionless and White yeah one of my cold ex buddies is a big fan of Motionless and White yeah I saw one of their concerts once it was like over the summer they're such a popular rock band they're awesome they're really good yeah to see them actually perform what what felt like a dream come true for so many people especially because now so many people are truly getting into into WWE now even non-wrestling fans I feel like you're actually starting into it especially last night it it did get pretty funny cuz WrestleMania is in Philly who made a special appearance who made a special appearance to help Rey Mysterio and Andrade win their tag match last night none other than Philly's own Lane Johnson and Jason Kelsey they came out in WWE in the colors of their team they came out in Rey Mysterio masks okay everyone was like who are these guys it's I mean it did make sense cuz I've never seen jacked up luchadors before I mean luchadors are normally small skinny and able to fly they were huge with a lot of beef and a lot of meat they were do you remember Sin Cara he was one of those if he had the potential to go to go big with with World Wrestling Entertainment but injuries everything just went wrong yeah I mean he's very popular in Mexico under his gimmick Mystico which I'm a fan I got to see that a couple and actually a couple times in AEW and I love it what was interesting about the character was the whole Sin Cara imposter storyline where the two went at it and the fake one was revealed and then after the original Sin Cara got released they kept the character but but the guy Hunico who played the fake Sin Cara became the real one until the actual Sin Cara character was dropped which I was actually impressed because I feel like he actually got better throughout his career until end of the 2010s came around right yeah those are my favorite luchadors are so special I mean I mean luchadors are still obviously a thing it's just not the same but you can't count Rey Mysterio I mean he's still I mean he got inducted to the Hall of Fame last year he still wrestles full-time and he is doing great like I just mentioned him and Andrade competed on night one of WrestleMania last night against Chancellor Escobar and Rey Mysterio's son Dominic and Rey and Andrade won thanks to help some backup from the rest of the LWO and from Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson right yeah I haven't watched WrestleMania yet and what was the last time like when did you fall out from wrestling um I was like five no like seven years ago because I used to live with my stepdad he was a big wrestling fan and we used to watch it and like I moved away from there and and that's when I kind of stopped watching it yeah it feels it just also just doesn't feel the same with the whole I think with the PGR also kind of just ruined everything which I don't blame I don't blame some people for that I mean the PGR has kind of made it just feel more like a regular just show than wrestling but you know they're making it good they're making it good again the Rockets played a big role plus wrestling has always been in my blood I come from a family of wrestling fans so it's been with me for so long my dad's been into it ever since ever since Andre the Giant was around and in his prime and Andre the Giant was in his prime around like the 1970s the 1980s right yeah well he was a tall guy oh absolutely everyone always compares me to Andre the Giant Big Show and then just hype wise and energy wise I would get compared to Kevin Owens who's one of my current favorites right now you'll have to make an appearance bro like so Flynn Pete's who knows I'm if I could be doing it possibly during like one of the hall one of the future like dorm skits that a chapel or something like that I would totally do that was that kind of sort of did that that last semester like clothesline Sammy during our chapels oh yeah and then I took if you go back remember I clothesline he came running at me I clothesline him so hard I I actually turned him in I turned him inside out and I think he still has a spot on his head oh I think he was mad I think it might be permanent now and then and that's just been there right there right there for everybody ever I just remember the reactions everybody was like oh I would volunteer at Lady Tokyo to slam me through a table that is a good man I got the respect plus it's not that bad of a move I mean the biggest thing though that could be concerning is that something gets screwed up you're gonna hurt yourself or one of us will probably hurt each other yeah well just be aware of that yeah no I'm totally aware I've been chokeslammed a lot in my life really yeah you've been chokeslammed by a lot I used to like run around my neighborhood like we all wrestle each other and stuff like the fake most the time but usually we'd end up getting mad start trying to beat the craps out of each other that's awesome there's one time I definitely meet them I definitely need to learn more about the childhood you oh yeah good our personalities are 100% accurate hmm yeah so there was one time I was in my neighborhood and a guy we have like a big wooden like slab it wasn't a table it was like the top of the table and like we leaned it up against a tree and a dude picked me up it was Jack this guy was Jack he was in my high school he picked me up chokeslammed me on the ground it hurt so bad but I was like it was kind of cool because I like I finally been chokeslammed and he got put through the table I know it was cool so it's happened before oh yeah if you want to come out to training with me and some of the guys from AACW you would actually have some potential yeah I imagine you and I become a tag team and we won the tag titles and break the gold here I would be sick yeah let's see how great college reacts to that put some of my haters wrong mm-hmm but there is something though there's actually one more thing though I'm just curious about because I got the I've actually picked up some interesting things for you today so back in five it's like just like a bunch there's all men I'm not been in the back in five shows with you guys how I'm so late at me midnight we have one more left this you think yeah what the show's been at midnight that's a disadvantage for you guys or do you think that's a good thing for you guys man I don't know why we do them at midnight like I don't really get a say in what time we do them but I definitely would prefer not midnight but I don't know who that's really up to it's why that people show up obviously come to the cheers to the shows I think we can do them like 1030 but they were like like light like sooner like I might I would actually show up but again I am a night owl so again I am convinced but you I've seen you guys obviously do some some goofy stuff what out of everything you've done throughout your first your first run with back in five is probably the goofiest thing you have done like that one thing that got had everybody dying and falling on the floor what is it um well I don't know if I did you go to the Hungarian show when we had okay I was unfortunately not there well there was a time during that I played a painter and it's actually on YouTube with Alyssa and everybody was just laughing that was the one part of the show that was actually improv because the rest of it was scripted and that was the only part that we improvised and every everybody was laughing like really really hard at that and yeah it was I just went on the fly killed it and everybody laughed but as far as back at five goes um I think our first show like when we revealed because I've only done three shows so far um the first show we did I did the worm like floor oh yeah I know how the worm works yeah and everybody was laughing I think the prompt was up things that you're not supposed to do in the womb and I did the worm oh oh my everybody was laughing at that yeah there's a lot of moments this next show is gonna be uh it's gonna be really really good Alyssa's gonna come back and for the last show it's gonna be her private goodbye and this is oh like it's like it's her farewell show yeah so she's graduating yep yes she well definitely go all out who knows I may consider trying out again maybe give it I had was man I just had such a hard time at the trial trial yeah I felt I just felt lost yeah you just don't you can't overthink it it's easy to overthink things and just kind of I don't know overthink yourself into not being funny but like if you just go with the flow don't let a thought cross your mind do whatever you're feeling and you got exactly besides besides you can lose do anything get anyone laugh where it's a fun controversial like I do every day or just do something goofy like like your work like you're doing the warm and warm in the womb which is impossible to even do that oh yeah no no I'm thinking awkward after hearing that statement of everything you could have done that you could've done in the womb you had to do the worm oh yeah man it's an essential I could have been a kickboxer in the womb if I wanted to kickboxer or heck even a wrestler maybe chokesled chokes maybe doing chokeslam piledrivers power bombs or even and who knows what to all the cells dude yeah um uh so guys what up are you watching oh brother and I'm gonna have some more I'm gonna have some words with you later but back in five you are obviously gonna be trying out again next year and do you plan to tune it to tune it on throughout the rest of college oh I don't we don't have to try out oh like like once you make it you're officially what though yeah yeah yeah so I'll be watching the other people try out well this bro this takes dog I'll go through this again I'll be there watching me I'll cheer you on when you do it yeah I better get some good better get some good advice to work with me in advance if I did do decide to try it again cuz who knows my sophomore year I'm gonna have my hands full my classes because I'm kind of going going a little further out taking classes for my major yeah but we're feeling good about it but so well how long are you guys at shows normally like an hour and a half oh wow so they go almost till like 2 in the morning because it feels that way if you guys yeah one one thirty yeah that is late yeah I know I don't know why we doing so late I mean I mean it's worth it though but just that way it's still the only issue I I have at least mm-hmm I know I try talking to somebody about moving it earlier but I mean if you were running the whole back-and-forth like you were the one in charge of everything you would obviously change it would you oh I can't comment on that but let's keep talking I can't comment on stuff I'm asking you but I know I'm not saying you'll have to like drop the beans on back if I put it like if you were in charge okay like it's like it's your vision yeah I would move it I would like 1030 or 930 like 930 sounds accurate 930 10 o'clock yeah there's only one thing I want to do it back in five and that's just what random audience members come up to the stage and just throw pie at me or pot or pie me in the face because that's something I wanted to start a tradition in is my annual there's like a little annual thing at all the shows what a few audience members come up and throw pie at me mm-hmm well I'll let you in on a secret of our last show we are gonna have an audience member come up for one of the games oh if you go I might I might have to choose you man if you raise your hand well it depends on what the game's gonna be I mean if it's passed on to do with you so that's really I get people laughing and I can't be myself don't get people at well well am I gonna get myself embarrassed with this oh no no you'll you won't have to say anything it's over us do but I like being a talker yeah yeah you can't talk during this game but like you okay I thought um it's basically you pretend like you're dead and we control you like why you're dead like so you're standing there pretending to be dead and like one of us is holding you up and like using your arms oh so so it's like what is it called vengeful so like that oh yes I'm like that yeah that's actually working right there it'll be cool man like I say that sounds impressive but dude I got I'm just I'm just gonna say this before I close this thing out all right back and five sounds like one of the most unique and hilarious things out there who knows I might make it Francis who knows I like to play dead especially when I'm sleeping but the moment I'm out I'm out cold yeah like I'll sleep so hard that's why I'm actually drooling on my on my pillow and my blanket there you go you have to bring that same energy to the last show man well
