I wanted to start this off with something many people know about, and it's going on right now in the music world. Tyson, how'd you feel about Kanye not dropping Vultures 2? Like, I was kind of, I'm not gonna say I was surprised, but obviously I was like, well, damn. But what do you think he's gonna drop it? I mean, honestly, I have no clue when he's dropping it. I think, so something I feel like a lot of people don't think about at the end of the day, and you can kind of see it with how he's acting now, is that Kanye, he kind of needs some bread, you know? He doesn't have Adidas. He doesn't have all this stuff anymore. So he kind of needs some money. That's why if you saw the thing yesterday with the whole selling the album for 20 bucks and living from his concerts, they're not really selling that well. Like the one at the Chase Center tomorrow really isn't doing that good. I think when the money runs out and he needs something else to pay rent, I think that's when we get it. And also with this world tour, there's gonna be a lot of stuff with, he's gonna be contractually obligated to do some things. So he has to drop this album sooner rather than later, or these places aren't gonna want to mess with him. That's why I'm really excited for his performance on Friday or Thursday, because it'll really show where he's at and be serious about dropping this album and also continuing this whole independent artist experiment as well. Oh yeah. I mean, I've been a Kanye fan for as long as I can remember. And every time there comes an album rollout, there's always something going on and something happening. So I'm just like, oh, it's just how it goes. It's how it is. But I mean, Kanye's Kanye. He's always gonna stay that way. But Jay, how'd you feel about Kanye not dropping this past Thursday? I was kind of shocked, to be honest. I mean, I have seen a lot of rumor going around on Instagram, on TikTok, and all that. So I was just kind of, you know, I was kind of like really hoping he would, especially because I did like his Vultures 1. Like, I really enjoyed it. And it was like the first time I've enjoyed a Kanye album in a while. So, because honestly, I know it might be kind of, you know, controversial thing for me to say, but I wasn't a big fan of Donda. So, you know, I'm gonna, I'm just gonna speak for myself there with that. But yeah, I was kind of shocked when it came down to it. I did see, though, that Kanye is gonna, is it true he's gonna be performing at Rolling Loud or like having a listening party at Rolling Loud, like an extra day that they added? Do you guys know anything like that? Yeah, so they added the extra day last minute. Not last minute, but last month. So it looks like for Rolling Loud, it's usually three days. They extended it to four. And now it's just gonna be like Yay Dollar Sign doing a set on Thursday, which they were trying to do that to boost their ticket sales at first, but it didn't really work. So they ended up just making it kind of its own separate thing. So before you couldn't buy like a single day ticket to that, you would have to buy like the whole three day pass. So now they're kind of making it so you can buy a ticket just for that. So we'll see what happens with that. I mean, I went to one of the listening parties. I went to the one in Chicago. Oh, sure. It was definitely an experience. I mean, it was kind of a last second thing, because one of those tickets drop on like Tuesday. And I left and went there on Thursday, but it's definitely cool in the moment, but it kind of gets old, I think, after a while when the album's already been out for a month. So hopefully they picked up a microphone on Thursday because he still hasn't done that yet. I think that's the biggest thing. People are scared of spending their money on is that he hasn't been actually like performing. I'm scared to see what he sounds like. I mean, it's been years since we've heard him like on the mic. I feel like I haven't really heard Kanye on a mic for like a while now. And it's always been these listening parties. He did the same thing with Donda. Now he's doing this Vultures 1 and Vultures 2, obviously I'm gonna assume it's gonna go on to Vultures 3. These listening parties, they look fun. Don't get me wrong. They look like a good time, but then like Tyson said, I think it's time bro picks up a mic because it's a little too long. And these tickets, I don't know. Obviously they're not overpriced, but if I'm gonna pay for a ticket, I'm gonna wanna pay to see Kanye sing and Ty Dolla $ign sing. It just, yeah. If I'm gonna wanna pay for those tickets, I wanna see those artists show off their talents and not just everyone sitting down listening to it. How do you guys feel about that? I mean, I'm all for listening parties, to be honest. Because to be able to kind of experience that with one of your favorite artists, one of mine, I've made it clear before, is Usher. If he did a listening party for any of his albums, I would honestly wanna go to one of those because I think it'd be fun. But that's the thing though. I feel like Usher would actually pick up a mic and actually start performing or singing along with it in a way. So to kind of see, like I was saying, your favorite artists not do that, I feel like it's kind of a disappointment in a way. I'm all for it, but it's a little disappointing. Yeah, I can see that. I mean, if you're paying money to go to an event like that, I mean, I would kind of expect performance. I mean, of course, it's really cool to listen to the music with the people that enjoy it, just that community. But I don't know. I feel like I would want something more like just performance and show, like live singing, live music band. I mean, it's completely different when you have the instruments there on stage compared to when you're just listening to it. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I can see how there is that appreciation for it. I just feel like I would want a little bit more. I agree. I don't know. I think listening parties nowadays, I mean, they're definitely a new thing. I really didn't hear about them until Kanye started doing them. And this is Kanye, he does. He's like a trendsetter, obviously, but I would like to see like concerts like how they were back in the old days. I think an artist that really does concerts very well and has a very well stage presence is Drake. I know he gets a lot of hate and stuff. I'm more like one of the, I'm not gonna lie, I'm like a Drake D-writer. I love him to death. One of my favorite artists, obviously, but as a stage presence, as in like concerts go, I think he has a very great way of hyping his audience up and getting that crowd bumping. Tyson, have you ever been to a Drake concert? I was gonna say, I actually went to my second Drake concert in the past 12 months. Last week, yeah, I saw him in Buffalo last week and then over the summer. Oh, shit. I saw him in Boston. So I saw him twice on this tour and I had never seen him before. And I also got to see J. Cole, too. That was the main reason why. Oh, nice. I love J. Cole. Because that was, he's like one of the last people because I'm of that unk age, I'm like 24 now. So all my artists are kind of a little bit older now. So he's one of the last guys from when I was a teenager to see, because I had one other chance to see him and you guys are probably gonna give me a lot of hate. Rolling Loud 2021 in New York City. It was raining and I had the chance to see him or Cardi perform Whole Lotta Red for the first time live and I chose Cardi. So. No way. Cardi's a good artist, too. But, wait, who said no way? It was me. You choosing J. Cole over Cardi in that situation? Yeah, I don't know. Is that nostalgia factor? I get stuck on every time with artists. I mean, Cardi's great, I'm not gonna lie. But if I had a chance to go watch Cardi or J. Cole, I'm going J. Cole all the way. Like, I can't help it. Like, I know Cole's songs word for word. Same with Cardi, but like, I grew up in the backseat fucking singing, yelling my guts out to J. Cole. So I haven't done that with Cardi, obviously, but it was J. Cole over Cardi for me. I don't know, I strongly disagree with that one. At least the circumstances. I mean, that was my first time performing Whole Lotta Red in concert. It was raining too, so you know. That was like one of the worst after concert experiences I ever had, but it was definitely worth it. That's why, if you ever heard like the TikTok sound where he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, that's where I was like, that concert. And then Uzi came out and he made up with Uzi on stage. It was definitely worth it. I was also really down bad in that moment because I had lost my phone the day before. So I was just like, wait, can I curse on here? Yeah, you can. I was just like, fuck it. So I was just like, I'm just gonna make the most of it. Actually, that was that same day. That wasn't even the next day. That was that same night. So yeah, I was just like, fuck it. You've never been, you don't know what down bad is and when you lose your phone during Lil Yachty performing Broccoli or the Kyle song, whatever it is. You don't, I spy. You don't know what down bad is in life until you've had that happen to you. And then have to search for it while watching the City Girls. But yeah, I chose Cardi in that moment. I would've chosen Cardi too. But going back to Drake, he definitely is a really good live performer. Ticket's really expensive. I was pissed too because he had these cool sweatshirts but they're only made for like small white teenage girls. They're all like a size small or medium. So I was like, I'm a bigger dude. So like I can't fit that. So I was highly upset. So that shit was so cool. But it was definitely a fun time. I enjoyed him a lot more this time than the first time. I think he just had more energy and just one thing about his show that's annoying. Aren't you guys a huge fan of Honestly Nevermind? Or no? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I hate that album. Oh, so he does like a club mix in the middle and it's just like, it really just like throws off the show. But having J. Cole there and him performing a little bit more of the newer stuff cause I like For All The Dogs. I like Sad D. I think it was a lot better set than what he had before. I agree. I mean, I haven't been to one. I've seen like tons of videos with it. That's all his like his first, it's all more like his set with that. And it was, it was all right. But then obviously we had a J. Cole on and it just, I don't know. It looked like it flowed a lot better. It looked like a lot more fun, a lot more hype. I mean, obviously the audience is going crazy with J. Cole there. But yeah, I'm going to go watch 21 Savage this May actually when he's in the, in LA for the Kia Forum. I'm excited for that. However, I do know he has like a pretty bad stage presence. I was going to ask you, when you were there, was 21 there and how did he do? I mean, he was, he was like, all right. His set really isn't that long. The concert's kind of like set up weird. Do you think like 21 will perform first or something like that? Went on first and did perform for probably like 90 minutes. And then he leaves, 21 does a couple songs. Then they perform like together. I mean, he was pretty okay. I mean, I want to, I liked his new album. So I'm curious to see how he does with like that. And he's been an artist for me. Cause honestly, at first I hated him back in like 2016 when he first dropped. I think like X and stuff is like a really overrated album and like, or not X, Savage Mode 1 is like a really overrated album. So I thought, I mean, I thought he did good for, that was like his first like really like major tour. So I'm curious to see, but also I'm excited cause he's going on tour with JID and I saw him in concert and he's really good. So you should definitely, you should definitely get your money's worth. I think, I think it'll be fun, especially. I don't know if the forum, like, I don't, I mean, it's not like a more inside venue. Yeah, the forum is very inside. I went there for a MTK concert and he brought out Lil Wayne and Blackbeard and all that. So it was insane. That was in a row, like right before the pit. So this, this time around, I'm going around with my cousin, my cousin Ryan and we're going into the pit. So we got general admission. So we're going to be there like super early, get those wristbands and stuff like that for general admission and be like right on there, like next to the, next to the stage. I'm hoping it's gonna go fucking crazy. Yeah, you should, you should have some fun. I think it'll, it'll be good for sure. I don't think he's ever really done a tour before. So I'm kind of curious to see how he does on his own, but it definitely wasn't terrible. I mean, it wasn't like the most electric performance all the time. He doesn't really talk a lot, so. But you should definitely have a fun time. Yeah, I'm excited. Speaking of concerts, I wanted to ask this question to you guys and what concert would you guys want to go to, like artist-wise? I know Jay, you're adding to it's gonna be Usher, but like, like why? Why is cause I grew up on him and I was like, that was, well, him or Eminem, I would say. Oh yeah. I, my dad, like that was like all he listened to before. Like, I don't know, I'm surprised he wasn't like a big J. Cole avid or like, you know, any of these other rappers, like my mom, my mom was more on like that side where she was like listening to, you know, Too Short and like, you know, all those, all those like old school rappers and stuff. I would say like the closest thing would be like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. I think my, cause my uncles and my dad kind of grew up on that music and I would want to go see them too. But Eminem and Usher probably would be my top two cause Usher was like my old soul side. Like I grew up on, my dad was like very adamant on like me listening to that music. And it was, it was funny cause you know, Usher's not very PG, but his voice is really good. Same thing with Eminem. I mean, I've always been like a big fan of him. Maybe not newer Eminem now, but I would say like his old stuff, obviously, all the way up until his LP2 album. I think that's what, that's what's his last best one for me. I agree with that. I did like Kamikaze though from Eminem. I know he kind of just talks shit on a bunch of different people, but I didn't fuck with it heavy. Especially with Jordan Lucas, I forget the song, but the song they had together was fucking fire. I like that song. Yeah, that shit was crazy. Jordan Lucas popped out of nowhere for me during that time. That boy would just fit in bars with Eminem. Like he could keep up with Eminem. Like if you could, if you could match Em or a verse, that's just insane. I mean, that's, that's crazy. But Adam, I'm going to ask him, what concert would you ever want to go to? Yeah, probably Post Malone. Just with the stuff he's been coming out with lately. I feel like it's been more my taste. Like older Post Malone's always really cool. I mean, I just feel like the stuff he's been coming out with more lately is more him, more, more emotional, passionate the way he sings it. And just the way he performs, I feel like he would just have to leave it all out on the stage. He's very committed to what he does. So I feel like he would just do 100% throughout the whole show. But the music's just been really fun lately. I mean, especially Happy Clap's sixth season. I know Joey's been really obsessed with that one lately. So yeah, there's a whole vibe. I feel like it's been a lot more mellow, a lot more almost indie sounding. And that's the stuff I like. So I feel like that would be really cool to see in person. I don't know how soon I could, but that would be awesome. All right, Post Malone's been doing crazy stuff lately, especially with his last album, Awesome. I like it a lot. It's very different than what he usually puts out. Yeah, I was gonna go to a concert. Oh yeah, I was gonna say, if I had to go to a concert and drop a shit ton of money for it, to be right there next to the artist, I think I'd go with Bruno Mars and Silk Sonic. That show would just be insane. I think I'd go pharaoh for Bruno Mars. I'm a straight man. You guys may know about that. Tyson, who would you wanna go see straight up? Be right there on the ground floor. Who'd you wanna go watch? I mean, over the past couple of years, I've been able to luckily see so many people, but who I have left, who I probably wanna see is definitely Frank. And then the other one would probably be The Weeknd. I don't know. Just like if I could spend a couple thousand to be like up close in that stadium instead of looking through binoculars, it would definitely just be like him or just be him for sure. And I'm definitely excited for his new album. It's just, looking at some of his concerts, and I have a friend who's a photographer, seeing just a giant stage design from the photos I've seen of him, this is something I need to at least experience once. I need to do the stadium show at least once. That's one thing I haven't done. At least I don't think I've done yet. It's just like a show in a giant stadium. I need to see what all the hype is about that the Swifties keep getting hyped about when they see Taylor from like three miles away in the upper deck. I wanted to ask you a question. You talk a lot about different music artists and different albums that could be coming out potentially like on your TikTok. And I want to know, because I don't think I've gotten that clear sign from you, like who is your top artist? Like who did you grow up on? Who did you always, who have you always stood by? Who's somebody that you can listen to all the time, no skips? So like, if I would give you like a top five, I would say it always changes a little bit. But like of the artists that I love and I listen to, probably everyday go-to is probably Drake, definitely. And I'm in no order, probably Drake. Kanye, but he pisses me off. So it's like number two when I feel like it. And then Tollywood Creator is definitely up there. He was like the first artist, like wolf drop when I was in like eighth grade. And I was like one of the first, like not like underground artists, but like artists who weren't like mainstream that I had ever like listened to. Like we all drew the donut and went out with all the hot future clothes, but Kylie definitely. And then Future is definitely another one for sure. And I'm super excited about his album, Metro Boomin. And then five, Kendrick's definitely there. But if I had to rotate, I'd probably go Drake one, Kendrick two, Kanye three, Tyler four, Future five, if I were to line it up like that. And it was always like that, you know? Like everyone, music fan on the internet, Kanye was number one at one point, but Kendrick, I just think with Kanye's discography that really hasn't been the best compared to Kendrick in the past couple of years, I think it's time to have that conversation about Kendrick being the GOAT. So that's just for me. I agree a hundred percent. I don't know why nobody's brought that up yet. And I'm so happy that you did, because I think that Kendrick is like amazing. Like, I think he's better than a lot of like, I think he's even starting to overtop, God, you guys are gonna fucking hate me for this, but I think he's gonna overtop J. Cole at some point. And I think he already has, just in my opinion, but I fucking love Kendrick and I'm excited for more and more shit that he drops. I mean, when J. Cole releases his fall-off album, I know it's coming out and I'm excited for it to come out, but the whole talk of him retiring, I'm all for it, because this dude's had a good ass run. And I think that it's one of those things where you gotta kind of not give up the mantle, because he's always gonna be one of the top five for me, but to give other artists a chance. I feel like right now, because J. Cole is still in the game, Kendrick isn't talked about a lot. And same thing with Kanye. Like, keep dropping shit as much as you want and have fun with your music, but I feel like Kendrick not only has fun, but he actually does it with like, I don't know. I feel like there's more integrity with Kendrick. I mean, I can't say the same for J. Cole, because J. Cole, he takes pride in his shit too, but like with Kanye, like how he doesn't drop at times and all that, and he's kind of like very misleading with his posts and shit like that. So I'm all for naming Kendrick top dog right now. I'm all for that. I agree with you. I think Kendrick's been on a crazy run lately, especially with Baby Keem. Baby Keem came out of fucking nowhere for me, dude. I saw the song, Family Ties, and the only reason why I clicked on it is because it had Kendrick on it. And Baby Keem just fucking spazzed on that song. I mean, the production was crazy. The beat was insane. The trumpets, everyone talks about. I mean, that shit got me linked in. Like the second I heard those trumpets, I was like, oh, this is gonna be a banger. Like this is gonna be a classic. And it turns out it was. But I agree, Kendrick's been on a fucking awesome run. Baby Keem has just been elevating him as well. And I think Baby Keem could be like to pass the torch too. I think Baby Keem would be the one that Kendrick could pass that torch down to. Just like how I'm feeling like with J. Cole, I'm leaving the scene pretty soon. J.I.D. is gonna be the one I see Cole passing that torch to. These new artists are fucking insane. And I'd love to hear J.I.D. and Baby Keem on a song. That'd be fucking insane. But my top artist is always gonna be fucking Drake. And so I'm always, you know, it's always gonna be those top three, Drake, Kendrick, and Cole. But it's always gonna be those three in the top for me. Just because I'm so biased, and I know there's better music, and I know Kendrick and Cole put out better music than him, but I'm always gonna be a number one Drake fan. I sound like such a Drake D-writer right now, but I am. Doing tricks on it and everything. But yeah, I don't think I'll ever be able to say that like Kendrick or Cole was better, sadly. Although I do agree that some of their music is top notch and a little bit better than Drake's. I just think as an artist, I think Drake is so, he's just so versatile. And he's, everything he does is very energetic and he never really lets anyone surpass him. I think I just, that's just how I feel. I might get hate for that, but that's just how I feel. I think Drake is just very overhated in general. One, because of all the weird stuff with him and Kanye. But I think a lot of the time, a lot of the, at least newer hip hop fans or newer music fans weren't around when he was dropping If You're Reading This, It's Too Late. Even the biggest fan, nothing was the same, but nothing was the same. Take care. I remember when he dropped If You're Reading This, It's Too Late out of nowhere. I was in my fourth period. I'll never forget that. And I was listening to that stuff on free Spotify or whatever I had at the time. A lot of people don't understand that 2015 run that he had all the way up to views, even to more life, probably till Scorpion. And then it kind of like, he's been shaky ever since, in my opinion. But that run was just so cool. 2015 Drake, he's an untouchable. Nobody was messing with him. As soon as he beat Meek in that beef and he dropped back to back. When you diss track gets nominated for a Grammy, then it's like, you done lost the beef. But a lot of people don't understand how Drake, how people feel about Cardi now is how people were feeling in 2015 with Drake. Such a good year for the big three, too. You think about it. We talk about Kendrick. He dropping T-Pab at the same time. People don't understand. So I wanna ask you guys how you feel about the big three conversation because I always see discourse, well, it's actually Kendrick Travis and Kanye. It's like Cardi, Kanye, and Travis or whoever else. But I always go with the J Cole, Kendrick, and Drake. And that's just what I grew up on. And that's what I always think. And I think some people forget how good they were. I still think they're in their prime, but how good they were, like, dang, that was about 10 years ago now, just how hyped they were. I agree with you. I think the big three for me is always gonna be Drake, Cole, and Kendrick. I don't think anybody can really top those three as rapper-wise and their discographies. I mean, every time they drop, besides Drake sometimes, every time they drop, it's just straight heat and everyone's listening to it. And that's one thing people can't lie about is their stream values, their stream numbers. I mean, Drake has more hits than MJ or number one hits than MJ at this point, which I think is insane. Yeah, it's always gonna be those top three in the conversation for me. As in otherwise, people being on there, like Travis and stuff like that, I think he's great and he's amazing. I just don't think he's hit that level yet. And it's very weird to say, because Travis is an amazing artist, but I just don't think he's, I don't think he's there yet. And I think, it's sad, but I think he'll be there when Drake leaves or J. Cole leaves to be up on that number three. But that's how I'm feeling with that. But I've always, I don't know, I was raised and I was just always thought of as like, it was always those three in the top three. No one else, always them. But J., how do you feel about that top three conversation? I know you have your love for Eminem, but how do you feel about those three being those, like Drake, Cole, and Kendrick being those top three? Well, like I said, Eminem is in my, he's in my top five. I'm not gonna say he's better than the other three, because, I mean, what Kendrick's put out recently, like I was saying, I feel like his shit's been on top, like crazy. Like, I feel like his, oh God, what's the fucking album called, I'm gonna get shit for it. The, I'm just gonna describe what the album is called. I'm like brain farting right now. Oh, what it looks like. It's like him in a room and he's wearing a white shirt. It just came out, it just dropped. Mr. Morale, in the big separate. Yeah, Mr. Morale. That whole album, at first I was kind of like iffy on it, because I was very like, man, this doesn't really, you know, I wasn't getting the Kendrick vibe from him, but maybe it's just because, you know, I've listened to all of his other work, and so I was just kind of like expecting different, but it was a little bit of a different sound, so I wasn't like fully anticipating that. And so, you know, it had to grow on me after some time, but I was still like, after a while, I loved it. And there's so many songs on there that I can't skip. Like, and I'll throw on the playlist like when I'm playing video games, or like the song, the whole album while I'm playing video games, just because it's one of those like, it's kind of hype in a way, and it's also kind of chill too. Like, so when I was just playing by myself, that's one of the albums that I'll definitely throw on. So for him to be in the top three conversation, I agree, 100%. The only person I would say out of those three that shouldn't be, and because it's debatable, would be definitely Drake. And I know, Jody, that you're like a big-ass fan of him, but he always has been like top dog for me. Like, I don't know, maybe it's just because like I grew up differently, and like, you know, my whole family, like my dad, like I said, like he was the one who put me on music, and he was like definitely a Drake hater. I know that for a fact. Like, he's like, man, this guy doesn't know how to rap. He doesn't know how to, you know, he doesn't do what Eminem does, blah, blah, blah, blah, you know, and, you know, opinions change over time. So, you know, for me, he hasn't always been top dog, which is why I wouldn't put him in top three. But that's the thing though, like, I listen to only like the artists who I kind of only grew up on. Like, I haven't gave a lot of people the chance. Like, I barely started giving Travis a chance, like in these last two years, and I'm starting to become a fan of him, but I'm not like too crazy of a fan of him, you know? Like his most recent song, Fiend, that's just fucking banger. Like, I can slap that shit, and while I'm playing video games, and like, you know, drop a nuke in fucking Call of Duty if I wanted to, because I'm feeling like a fiend, bro. Like, that's just fun to play with, you know? I think that's what I kind of base my rap on, just kind of like stuff I can like jam out to in the car, or while I'm playing video games, honestly, because I feel like if you're gonna rap to me, like you have to like either fit to my soul and like make me think about shit like J. Cole does or Kendrick does, or Eminem does at some points, or you gotta hype me up and like give me like a, give me like a concert in my head, basically. Like that, I think that's the way I go based off of like who I choose in my top three. But yeah, I think that's what I would say. Yeah, yeah, so Tyson, you've gotten a decent following on TikTok, and you've been sharing like music drops and anything you wanna talk about music, really. It's pretty nice that you have that platform to be able to do that. How's that been kind of growing that community and interacting with it? It's definitely been interesting, at least over the past couple months, because not a lot of people know this, and it's gonna sound funny, is that like I'm like an old head on TikTok because I had another page before that had over close to half a million followers, but that was all the way back, I started out in like 2020. So I've seen like rap talk or music discourse on TikTok like evolve from like the very beginning. And it's certainly different from when I started, but with growing the community especially, it's been interesting over the past couple months because now I get like recognized more than like ever. And it's like so weird because it's really just like, I just make videos in my room. Like what you see is like, it's just me. Like there's no team behind me or like anything. It's just, I'm really enjoying the stuff that I talk about. But it's funny, like I went to the, you're talking about Travis Scott. I went to his concert in Boston in December on the day before Christmas Eve. And there were so many people that came up to me. And then there's like some people who like won't say anything and will just like stare at me. Or it's like, there's people who are like, they'll look at me, then look at their phone, then look at me, then look at their phone, then look at me, and then end up just like not saying anything. But it's like, it's definitely been cool. I mean, I just have a love for hip hop and music. And I know a lot more people have been telling me like, thank you, like you're my source of like news. That was a cool thing about like the Kanye listening party too. It was like, he was like, yo, like you're the news guy. And I was all the way in Chicago. Granted, I live in upstate New York and I live in Massachusetts. So it's like, I wasn't anywhere close to where I'm usually at, but people were still able to recognize me and all that stuff. So it's definitely been a trip and I'm definitely happy and blessed, you know, to have people appreciate what you, what I do. Does come with a bunch of weird things. Like you'd be surprised how many times you get posted in certain subreddits and you see stuff like that. It's definitely like an experience. Let me tell you, they're not nice. Like, I don't know if any of you guys are in the Kanye subreddit, but they like have a love-hate relationship with me. And it's like stuff like that is like so weird because like I said, I'm like, I'm just some dude. Like I have no, like you would, I don't like, I don't get why like, and people on the internet are weird, but it's like important to some people. Like some people are like obsessed with me and I'm just like definitely getting used to that as well. People don't talk about, it's just like, people being like weirdly obsessed with you for better and definitely for worse because people like say the weirdest shit online. It's like definitely something I've had to get used to. I'm sure it's fun. Yeah, it just seems like a really convenient place to be able to post and update people. I mean, it seems pretty consistent that you're able to just put a post on there to whatever comes out, whatever's new. I mean, is it pretty frequent that people are like disagreeing with what you're saying or sharing or they just have a need to speak their piece that they disagree with you? I mean, definitely some of my opinions when I speak about that, people disagree with me, but you can say any music opinion. Somebody is just gonna disagree with you just because, but definitely, I mean, with the new stuff, I mean, there's not a lot of disagree with. I try to be as accurate as possible because there's so much like BS and stuff like that, but there's definitely some people, you definitely get some haters out of nowhere. It's really weird. Instead of some of these kids picking up a book, they just wanna tell me I'm yapping on the internet, which is like, it's like weird because like, again, like I'm 24, so it's like the middle school humor and I also like work in school too. That's my day job is that I'm a school counselor. So it's like the middle school, like elementary school humor, that shit doesn't faze me. And it's like, the shit is not funny. Like go do your social studies homework. Like go do something more productive. Like if you can't send me a pay stub of like what you got from your nine to five, then you got no right to tell me I'm yapping or I need to be 2XV, but it's weird. It also comes with being a minority on the internet as well, which is another thing that's weird. Being a black dude on the internet is a completely, it brings its own set of just like issues because people can't handle that as well. You'd be surprised the amount of times you get called the N word online. Not to bring it there, but it's definitely something. I was gonna ask you like what does it take to like kind of get past that kind of thing? I mean, cause from us, like we're just three Mexicans, you know, like straight up. Yeah, we're just three little Mexicans, man. Like each of us 20 to 24 years old, you know? So like, what's that like to like get to that point? Like, you know, you have a lot of followers and you have like a lot of people who actually like what you do and recognize you, but like, how do you get past the hate? You know, cause like, I don't know how it's gonna be when, I'm gonna say when, because I have a lot of, you know, positivity about the podcast, but when we blow up more, like, you know, like I, that's cause I know that's something we're probably gonna deal with, you know, like people kind of going based off our looks, based off of our color of skin and stuff like that, you know, like, so how do you get past that? Like, how do you kind of like, you know, look past, you know, those comments and like the kind of hate speech that you get in the, like in your videos kind of. I think definitely just having a good community around you. I mean, you guys have, you three was definitely good for you guys to support each other. Definitely have people like your age, I would say, and just like under, just understand, I think a lot of people don't get this and I see a lot of people complain sometimes when they get like hate or like pushback, even when people don't like agree with their opinion, it's just like, it's just a part of being on the internet, honestly. Like, it's just, unfortunately, just like how it is. People would like the social, that pair of social relationships get attached to you for better or for worse. And just understanding that it's just like online. And that's like the cool thing I said when like people like thank me for giving them the news or like, they see me in person and they wanna take like a photo of me. So it's like, it all balances out. You kind of understand like, this shit is only like on the phone and a lot of these people just like, they want attention. And it's like, that's the other thing that's weird is like, they want the attention in this weird messed up way from like you as well. So it's like, so I'm gonna block a few people and then they messaged me like, yo, why you block me? Like, I was just joking. I was like, you harass somebody, like, what do you think is gonna happen? You just like, that's just like how weird some of these people are. And it's just having boundaries and just knowing that like this shit online is like, that's just kind of like whatever. And as long as you're having fun doing what you're doing, and that's what I always say, because people ask me sometimes like, how do you do it? Like, what's your method? And it's just like, I just post for fun, and I honestly just say, whatever. I don't have a script or anything. And I always tell people, you just gotta start posting. You just gotta have fun with it. Because the more fun you have with it and the more you enjoy it, that shit don't matter at the end of the day. Like, you guys doing your podcasts with your boys is amazing and I appreciate you guys having me on, but that's what most important is just having fun and talking about the things that you wanna talk about and the rest of that shit will go to the side. I will say there are some days it's tougher than others where you say something that people don't necessarily agree with. Like, you call Tanya a TikTok artist, and even though it's true, people get upset and they say all this thing, which it's gonna happen. It's just how the internet goes. But you always gotta keep 10 toes to the ground and just be yourself and never really lose that sense of self and understand that you're more than just what's on the screen. I definitely recommend having other shit to do besides posting, because sometimes it will eat you alive, but it's all a learning process. It definitely isn't for everyone. If you got a fragile ego, I wouldn't recommend it, to be honest. It's definitely something I've had to get used to. It's just like now at this point, I'm like, wow, they really going on with this joke for like a couple months. I don't get it, because they say 2XP, but at the end of the day, it's funny because that means they have a short attention span. So that's the part that they seem to be. But yeah, I'm in off topic. But yeah, you just gotta roll with it. I will say that I feel like when people shit on Santana and stuff now, I kind of get it a little more, because people go way far beyond. At the end of the day, it's an opinion. That's the other weird thing, and I don't know how you guys feel about Santana or music critics or whatever. I'm curious how you feel about that. But people think they have this power over music. At the end of the day, it's just their opinion. When I say something, it's just my opinion. It's not law. It's just how I feel. You can disagree with it, but don't send me a, I haven't got a death threat or anything, but with Santana, don't, don't, I haven't gotten that, but don't send somebody a death threat or something like that. It's never that serious. Y'all some weirdos sometimes. I agree with it. I think Santana's a, he's a character. He's really funny. I like how he talks about music and stuff like that, how he holds himself. Yeah, I have some people in the comments talking like, hey man, fuck you. That's my favorite artist. Santana's like, all right, that's how you feel. But I'm just talking about how I feel. It's an opinion. It's just, it's music, and that's how I feel about it. And people take it a little too far. I agree with you on that. So yeah, but like you said, Santana, he's pretty cool. And the other podcast, I forget what they're called. I think it's NFR or something like that. Their podcast is pretty fun to watch as well. They're just, they're talking to each other about their favorite artists, and then people get mad about it. But yeah, and when they have Santana on as well, it's fucking hilarious. And it's funny how people get so upset over just an opinion. So, but yeah, I agree with what you're saying there. You don't have to, it's not law. I was gonna say on the side, speaking of Fantail, the funniest thing about where I live right now is that for whatever, because he's like, he lives in this area, and it's like, I know this just because I always see him at like all these concerts constantly. It's like very, it's like very strange. It's like really weird because like everyone notices him in the crowd. Like I saw him at Travis Scott, and I saw him at a JPEG Mafia. He was like two feet in front of me. Also on Mutual too, but yeah, he's always like around. Yeah, he's always like around. It's like so weird. He posts like his stories of like him at like rock climbing. I don't know if you see that. And I'm like, I know exactly where that is because my fucking friend goes there. It's like so weird. So it's like to us, he's like the guy and he, and I do, I actually do like him a lot. I think his musical insight is like next to none when people actually listen to him and not look at the score. I think he gives very good explanation, but it's like so weird. I'd be seeing this dude everywhere sometimes whenever I go out to a concert, but yeah. Oh yeah. That's kind of cool that you built Mutuals off of like, you know, like just doing what you do. Like have you, have you encountered any like actual artists like in person and actually talk to them about like anything like that? Well, I mean, that's something I definitely want to do more in 2024. There's definitely been like a few, like I don't know if any guys know Mavi, who's like a, he's a more underground artist who's really dope. I got to talk to him after his show and I haven't really had a chance to do anything with like artists because last year was kind of wonky for like concerts, but definitely something I want to do like more of, at least do some like, like interviews or something like that. But yeah, definitely something I want to do more in like the future. Maybe, maybe I'll get that interview with Cardi. He can tell me when the album will drop it. Yeah. That'd be cool. I was just going to ask you, it's awesome, I was going to say that it's awesome that you brought up Tyler, the Creator. My fiance actually was the one who actually really got me into him. I had first heard his song with Rex Orange County, who Adam's actually a bigger fan of than me. But I had heard that song first and then I kind of just started delving deeper into Tyler after my fiance showed me more of him. A lot of people say that his best album is, is that what it's called? The one with the Sunflower Field? Yeah, it's Flower Boy. Yeah. A lot of people say it's that one, but do you disagree? Do you agree? So my top three Tyler, the Creator albums and I guess thinking about it, yeah, I do disagree. So number one is Igor definitely one of the greatest albums I think honestly ever made. I don't care if it was made five years ago, but that's one album I wish I got to see on tour and every day, but I love that album. And then number two, it was Wolf, but Wolf slid down to number three. Number two is definitely Call Me If You Get Lost. And that was definitely made even higher when he dropped the estate sale because that shit would probably, is one of my favorite albums of last year, even though it's a deluxe. But that was definitely my three and then I probably put Flower Boy at four. I don't know. Flower Boy is not as interesting, I will say to me at least. I agree. Definitely a lot more radio friendly and a lot more pop, but it's just like Wolf, which was the first Tyler album I ever heard. So I always loved that. Call Me If You Get Lost, when I heard that for the first time, it was the first time and it was right after, sort of like, because that was 2021, so COVID was winding down sort of. It was the summer I just graduated, got my bachelor's in college. So it was a cool time and he dropped that. I was like, yo, this shit is fire front to back. And I never heard anything like that in a while because we had such a music drought for so long. And then Igor, the shit he does with the synths on that album and just the overall theme and just the songwriting on that album is just like next to none. It's probably, I mean, people say it's a hip hop album, but it's also a really good pop album as well, in my opinion. Would you argue that it's a little bit more R&B too? Yeah, it's definitely a good mix. It's definitely his least like hip hop set, not like hip hop centric, but like rap album. It's definitely more of that R&B and pop. I think that's what makes it good is that he got the fusion just like perfect. I could listen to that album front to back all day. I mean, that's probably my favorite breakup album of all time too, to be honest. It's just that good. It's just that good. I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I love that album. Same here. Tyler is such a versatile artist. I mean, I don't listen to him that much. I think what got me listening to him like for a first listen like ever was a Call Me If You Get Lost. And I listened to that album front to back and I loved it. And I was like, you know what? Maybe I'll go check out his older shit. And I went into like a deep dive into his discography and it was fucking amazing. I saw he had songs with Rich Lawrence County, 21 Savage, Frank Ocean. I'm a big Frank Ocean fan. I didn't know they were like cool like that either. And I was like, damn, like this guy can fucking rap. And his production was amazing. His lyrics are great. So I mean, yeah, I wasn't really that into Tyler. I was always stuck on Drake, Post Malone, J. Cole. Recently got into 21 Savage, but I mean, yeah. Tyler the Creator is a fucking awesome artist. I agree. And he's done some awesome shit. I think why I at least appreciate him a lot more is that he's the first artist I've really seen like evolve. Like I said, I was listening to Wolf when it first came out back in like 2013. And especially, I went there for the Cherry Bomb Days Away. Like he got so much shit for that album when the album came out. I didn't like, I still, I don't strongly, I'm like indifferent about it now. It's definitely grown. I've gone from hating it to indifferent, but like people thought he was really done after that album because that shit was just like a mess. But just to see him do that and then rebound with Flower Boy and get better on Igor and then still be just as great on Call Me To Get Lost. It's just crazy to see an artist have like a run like that. Cause usually it's a lot of like peaks and valleys with a lot of these artists nowadays. Especially like, I know we talked about Drake. Like you get something good with her loss and then also six months before that, you get something like, honestly, nevermind. So it's cool to see artists be consistent. Artists like him, Denzel Curry, JPEG Mafia, artists like that who can just make good music without it being gimmicky. Oh yeah. I was happy you had mentioned Denzel Curry right there. A lot of people I know don't really listen to him that much. I've been fucking loving his shit. I think my favorite song by him right now is a Walkin' or X-Wing. And I didn't really hop into him until about last year. And man, he's a fucking great artist. I mean, his raps and the way he spits, it's amazing. It's straight fire. When I saw him in San Francisco, let me tell you, that was one of the most wild experiences I'd ever had in my life. One of the craziest mosh pits I've ever been to. Then he did, I don't know if you ever heard this song, I'm Sippin' Tea in Your Hood by like XXXTentacion. He was doing a tribute. If you haven't listened to it, go listen to it after. And it's just, if you hear the bass drop, you would know. So like, I was kind of like, I got lost from my friends a little bit when I was there at the time. So like the shit, I don't know if you guys have ever been in like a mosh pit or like a music festival. It's like that shit like opens up. And then I just like, I don't know, I was just feeling it. So I just fucking like chucked this water bottle out of nowhere and I found my friends again. And we just like converged and did that song. But he's just like such a good artist because he can do the banger shit. He can do the stuff like he was doing on I'm Out My Eyes To Your Future and also some of the live versions he was doing with that. Like he's just such a good artist and just such a underrated artist. And yeah, he's one of those, he might be one of the only artists who doesn't have like a really like a, not like a bad or like mid album. Like all of his albums are great. From the back, if you haven't had a chance to listen to him, I definitely recommend it for sure. Cause he is something really for everyone. I agree with you on that. That shit costs like a thousand bucks on the resale market. So they announced at the record store that they had there that they were gonna sell copies. But the thing is they didn't say in the Instagram thing or the article is that they only had one copy of the album. They were just saying they were selling it there. I made like a TikTok about that and a few other people did. Then like an article came out from like, wherever Coachella is or whatever the town, it might've been like Coachella like town or it might've been, I don't know what major cities close to there. You guys are in California, so you would know more than me. But they wrote about it saying how like hundreds of people lined up to get this Frank Ocean vinyl outside of like the vinyl tent. That was the first one really to blow up on my personal, but definitely speaking of that Frank Ocean stuff, with the news and stuff, I was crushing it with that. I was like, huh, I can definitely do this. Cause it definitely does take a little bit of legwork. It's just like being on top of things, that's tough because I don't have a team or anything. I was like, wait a minute, that sounds hella familiar. And the worst part about that one, yo, is that like that day or like the day before I got like contact trace and I got COVID. So like, I was feeling like shit. And I was like, damn. And that's the one that blows up. That's always the thing too. It's like, whenever you post like the serious shit, it's like, it does like whatever. But when you post the stupid shit, it's like, of course this is the shit that like blows up. But it works.
