Final Reflection

Throughout the course, the speaker has learned about the value of technology in teaching and learning. They have gained insights on information overload and feel equipped to tackle it themselves and support their students. They have also developed their professional learning network and plan to integrate the tools and skills gained in the course into their teaching. They hope to create a tech club at their school to explore new technologies with students. The speaker is eager to learn more about 3D printing, coding software, and Google Classroom. They have discovered new tools such as Audacity, Screen Pal, and Google Maps that they look forward to using more. They express gratitude for the collaboration and learning within the group. you you hi everyone before we dive into our final discussion I want to say thank you to each of you for your hard work and the incredibly meaningful discussions we've had throughout this course it's been a journey filled with professional growth and learning one of the key insights I've gained throughout our discussions this course is understanding how valuable technology can be from both a teaching and learning perspective the tools introduced in this course pushed me to explore new avenues and try new tools I might not have otherwise moving forward these tools will play a crucial role in making my teaching more engaging supporting learning assessment organization and much more when reflecting on our readings and course content one week that stuck with me was our exploration of information over information overload it is a challenge we all face daily and I now feel more equipped to not only tackle information overload myself but also support my students in doing the same additionally I've seen significant development in my professional learning network this course has given me the confidence to continue to expand my PLN connecting with educators globally looking ahead as a technology leader I plan to lead by example integrating the tools and skills gained in this course will be a regular part of my teaching I won't shy away from trying new or seemingly confusing tools and embrace each opportunity for growth further I hope to use my new understanding of tech tools and my desire to learn more about tech tools by creating a tech club within our school this will be a collaborative space where students and I can explore new technologies together their input will be invaluable as they share ideas about how these tools can support their learning or their passions I'm hopeful a club like this could support the improvement of digital literacy for both students and staff in regards to tools I'm eager to learn more about three on my priority list are 3d printing various coding software such as scratch in Google Classroom for 3d printing our group project module provided a solid foundational understanding but I feel there's much more for me to learn similarly I want to I want to gain confidence and using coding software to implement into my teaching and finally while I have a good sense of Google Classroom I aim to become more efficient and use it more effectively tools that were new to me this course are tools that new uses were presented that I look forward to using more our audacity screen pal and Google Maps audacity which I discovered during our group projects is excellent for student creative podcasts screen pal will be useful for relaying information and sharing demonstrations with students and Google Maps can be a powerful role can play a powerful role in identifying landforms exploring indigenous land and understanding cities within our curriculum before we conclude I want to again express my gratitude for the collaboration shared and learning within this group I genuinely wish each of you success in your future endeavors and hope to cross paths with you all again soon
