John Maddison Morton

John Maddison Morton, born on January 3, 1811, was a renowned English playwright who was known for his expertise in crafting one-act farces. His most well-known creation was the play titled Box and Cox, which was published in 1847. In addition to his famous farces, Morton also wrote various other theatrical pieces such as comic dramas and pantomimes. Morton passed away on December 19, 1891.
