Joan Fader is originally from Chicago and now lives in North Carolina. She used to be a litigation attorney and freelance writer. She is currently studying at Arizona State University and enjoys her World War II course. She found the chapter on Poland and the Holocaust in post-communist Europe to be particularly interesting. She appreciates your time. Good afternoon. My name is Joan Fader. I'm originally from Chicago, Illinois, and I'm currently living in North Carolina. For many years, I was a litigation attorney and then a freelance writer. I'm about two-thirds of the way through the master's program here at Arizona State University. One of my favorite courses so far was WWF 566 World War II Today. It was fascinating to take an in-depth look at how the war continues to impact the global community almost 80 years after the conflict ended. In particular, I enjoyed reading the chapter that discussed Poland in bringing the dark past to light, the reception of the Holocaust in post-communist Europe. It provided great insights into the manner in which communism influenced the way that World War II is remembered. Thank you for your time.
