The Lego Movie 2, directed by Mike Mitchell, is a sequel that received positive reviews. The movie has a good soundtrack and impressive visual effects. It incorporates stop-motion animation and showcases the features of Lego. The story involves a truce and a suspicious wedding. Warner Bros. reorganized its animation department after several failures. While it may not be a masterpiece, it is recommended for family and comedy movie lovers. It is advised to watch the prequel for a better understanding of the plot. Hello everyone, this is Jaya Kim's podcast for the Language Arts Assessment. Today I'm going to introduce my favorite movie, The Lego Movie 2, which got 7.2 out of 10 in Metacritic and 84 on Rotten Tomato. I remember watching The Lego Movie 1 while being on a plane in 2019, and I liked it because of the smooth animation by the stop motion methods and lots of comedic scenes. Then I heard of the sequel, so I watched it on TV. So, this is the basics of the movie. This movie is directed by Mike Mitchell, whose previous works were Trolls and SpongeBob's Sponge Out of the Water. The voice casts include Chris Pratt of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Elizabeth Banz from The Hunger Games, and Stephanie Beatriz of Encanto. The movie starts in Bricksburg. Emmett and Wildstyle encounter the army from the Sistar System and go there with their friends. The Queen of the Sistar System, whatever wannabe, claims a truce with Bricksburg and invites them to a wedding, but something seems very suspicious. And as a background of this movie production, Warner Bros. closed its animation product department for over 10 years due to the successive failures of Magic Sword, Iron Giant, and Looney Tunes back in action. And it got reorganized and reopened after 11 years to take charge of the production and distribution. Now, why you should watch this movie? There was a lot of concern from fans, as the previous film, The Lego Movie, was well received for its entertaining content while embodying the developer's philosophy, but fortunately, the movie came out in excellent quality and funny. The exciting OST of The Lego Series is once again receiving positive reviews, and the one of them, Not Evil, sung by Tiffany Haddish, is especially popular. Although the song lyrics claim that she is not a villain, the typical villain melody and her voice is attractive. The visual effects of the screens are also amazing. Even though the movie used 3D graphics, it has a special feature with the use of stop-motion video-like production. It is said that this was influenced by the Lego stop-motion animations that could be often found on YouTube. It also has the features of Lego perfectly, such as scenes of escaping danger by assembling Lego bricks into weapons or vehicles. But work shows everything within about what could be created with the Lego blocks, and it's a small entertainment to find parodies from other movies. Most people say the disorganized deployment adds a fun sound, but I was satisfied with it and thought that this movie is great for a family movie or for a killing time. By the way, this movie is a sequel. For important advice, the important parts of the movie are connected with the prequel, so I recommend knowing the plot of it if you want to immerse yourself in this movie. In conclusion, it does have entry barriers, and it's far from a masterpiece compared to the previous movie, but despite that, if you like movies in the family and comedy genre, it's worth a try. Thank you.
