Nothing to say, yet
In this book, the theme of normalized drug use to escape reality and consumerism is explored. People in this society are dehumanized and focused on objects and commodities. The perfect drug, called soma, is seen as a way to achieve euphoria and is widely accepted. However, it is ironic how it claims to offer the advantages of Christianity while contradicting its principles. Bernard Marx refuses to take the drug, highlighting his resistance to this dehumanizing society. Ford, how I hate him, Bernard Marx was thinking. There was a thing called heaven, but all the same, they used to drink enormous quantities of alcohol, like meat, like so much meat. There was a thing called the soul, and a thing called immorality. Do ask Henry where he got it, but they used to take morphia, cocaine. This is an example of normalized drug use to escape reality, which is a central theme in this book, of just consumerism along the entire society and how normalized it really is. This is another prime example, after that other example, of how consumerism really ravages the entire society in the brave new world. People just thinking of others as meat highlights how dehumanized everything is and how the emotions are really brought away from things as people are so focused on objects and commodities, and so that's what people are in their minds. And what makes it worse, she clings to herself as meat. 2,000 pharmacologists and biochemists were subsidized in AP 178. She does look glum, said the assistant predatnister, pointing at Bernard Marx. Six years later, it was being produced commercially, the perfect drug, but it's made a euphoric. This is a prime example of fallacy and how distracted people are in this world that something like a perfect drug can actually be received well, and people believe it. There is no perfect drug for the consumer, only for the creator in what they are trying to do, and that is what they're trying to do with this soma drug, and that's how they sell it to these people taking it. Narcotic, pleasantly hallucinant, glum, Marx, glum, the clap on the shoulder made him start, look up. It was the brute, Henry Foster. What you need is a gremisoma, all the advantages of Christianity, and alcohol, none of their defects. This is absolutely ironic how it says taking this perfect soma drug is going to get you the advantages that you would get from practicing Christianity, but ironically, Christianity would completely deny something like taking this magic pill, so it completely conflicts itself with that saying, bored, I'd just like to kill him, but all he did say, no thank you, and fend off the proffered tube of tablets. Take a holiday from reality whenever you'd like, and come back without so much as a headache or a mythology, take it, insisted Henry Foster, take it.
