The program discusses the concept of literature and its importance. The project involves taking a virtual tour of a modern library. The host asks listeners about their recent library visits and explains the power of books as remedies for boredom. Listeners are given time to think about and prepare to discuss a book they have read recently. The virtual tour continues by encouraging listeners to think about and create a digital poster about a fictional character, including their abilities, personality, and life events. Lastly, listeners are prompted to imagine interviewing their chosen character and record the interview. The program is hosted by Microsoft Mechanics. Good morning. Welcome to today's program. Our task for the week refers to a well-known concept. What do all these people have in common? Lewis Carroll, Agatha Christie, Charles Dickens, Roald Dahl, Texas, Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis. Yes, the concept is literature. It is an artistic and intellectual piece of writing in which language is used in a different way to create aesthetic beauty in a text. This week's project requires you to use your imagination. We are embarking on a virtual tour that will take you to a library in the 21st century. But let's start from the beginning. When was the last time you visited the library? What did you do there? Did you know that books have power in themselves? It is called William's Therapy. That is, the description of books as the remedies to sickness. I prefer to say a remedy to boredom. A library is the building or room in which a collection of books is kept. The word derives from the Latin liber, that is, book. Fascinating, isn't it? So, give yourself one minute to think of a book that you have read recently. Now, it is time to give yourself two minutes to prepare your answer. You should talk about the type of the book, the subject of the book, the reason for your choice, whether you recommend it or not. Let's move on a bit further on our virtual library tour. When was the last time you read a comic? The moment is now. Think of a fictional character and design a digital poster about your choice. You will have to include abilities and personality, life events, opinions of your character. And finally, let's fly higher. Imagine you could ask your character some questions. What would you like to know? It is time to record your fictional interview. Sounds cool, isn't it? Microsoft Mechanics www.microsoft.com www.microsoft.com
