The ocean wave sector in Dakhla has the potential for development, particularly for kitesurfing destinations. Tourist revenues in Dakhla are estimated at 1 billion dirhams, compared to 1.4 billion dirhams for the Agadir-Sagacus cluster. The goal is to attract 300,000 tourists by 2026 and 5,100 by 2030. To achieve this, 2,000 new jobs need to be created by 2030. Dakhla, 3,100 tourists targeted by 2026. In terms of revenue, the ocean wave sector represents only 3% of national tourism revenue, showing significant potential for development, especially for kitesurfing destinations. In Dakhla, tourist revenues are estimated at 1 billion dirhams compared to 1.4 billion dirhams for the Agadir-Sagacus cluster, which represents half of the sector's revenue, in addition with an ambition to attract 5 million tourists to Morocco by 2030 and the ocean wave sector. The destination of Dakhla aims to attract 300,000 tourists back thanks to this sector, in 2026 before increasing to 5,100 by 2030 thanks to this geographical cluster. However, to do this, it will be necessary to create 2,000 addition dates by 2030.
