I'm here with my mom and I'm going to be asking her some questions about the Eucharist. So how often do you receive this sacrament and why? I go to Mass weekly and I also attend one daily Mass per week. I think that I feel closer to God if I receive the Eucharist more regularly. What are your feelings usually before you receive the Eucharist? I feel eager and humble and just honored to be part of our Catholic tradition and part of the sacrament. That's great. What do you do to prepare yourself to receive the Eucharist? Well, I have a short fast before and I also usually offer up the Mass for a special intention. That's good. Can you think of a particularly good experience of the Mass or receiving the Eucharist that you have had? I think that the special occasion Masses come to mind. My middle sister just got married and that was a very special wedding Mass. It was exciting because her now husband went through RCIA and became Catholic. So that was really special. Final question, how do you usually feel after receiving the sacrament? I always feel hope. I always feel like it was definitely worth my time going and I feel like I gained something. A little bit of God that I didn't have before maybe. I always feel a little bit more ready to conquer the world.
