The transcription is about a prayer startup session where the speaker discusses the topic of "Walking on Water." The speaker uses the story of Peter walking on water as an example of how keeping our eyes on Jesus enables us to overcome challenges in life. The speaker emphasizes the importance of trust, hope, and faith in Jesus to navigate through difficult circumstances. The session ends with a memory verse from Hebrews 12:2 and a prayer. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be on my lips. Shalom, beloved, and thank you for being a part of the Just Ended Prayer Startup. Facilitating today's morning glory devotion from Harvest Chapel International Dinamic Umasi is Amanda Badum. Kindly let's share a word of prayer. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for another opportunity to study your word. We pray that you make our hearts fertile to receive this word and grant us the grace to obey it and apply it in our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen. Beloved, please let's take our confession from the book of Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the Lord shall not depart from my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Beloved, our topic for today is titled, Walking on Water. Walking on Water. A scripture reading is taken from Matthew chapter 14 verses 25 to 31. Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. It's a ghost, they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them, Take courage, it's his eye, don't be afraid. Lord, if it's you, Peter replied, tell me to come to you on the water. Come, he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and beginning to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me. Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt? Amen. Precious one, when we look unto Jesus, all things are possible. We can walk on the waters of life when we keep our eyes fixed on him. In the story above, we read about how Peter, who was an ordinary man like us, was able to walk on the water at the command of Jesus. Now, Peter was able to walk on the water until he took his eyes off Jesus and began to drown. Beloved, Jesus called Peter to come to him. He knew he had put in him the ability to walk over the water. Walking on water was physically impossible. It wasn't in Peter's ability to do it. But at the command of Jesus, he could. Much like us, in Christ, we are blessed and we have access to a life of miracles, victory, and impossibilities made possible. Every time he kept his eyes on Jesus, he tapped into that ability to walk over the water. But when he took his eyes off, understandably, he saw that the waves were stronger than his own ability, and he began to drown. Brethren, we must come to the understanding that we are nothing without Jesus. In him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17 verse 28. When we lose focus on Jesus, we allow the overwhelming circumstances to drown us. The other voices in our lives, the difficulty of the challenges we face, and the inadequacy of our own strength to help us overcome the worstness of life will make us drown. We necessarily must keep our eyes on him and the word to be able to overcome the challenges of life. It is not about our human strength, beloved. It is not about our opinions or even the tenacity of the storms we face. Rather, it is about our trust and hope and faith in Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, in whom we have the power to overcome. Let us, therefore, keep our eyes steady on him, and we shall walk on all the boisterous waters in life. Shalom. Our memory verse is taken from Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Amen. Please let us pray. Thank you, beloved, for tuning in to today's morning glory devotion. Please stay tuned for more spirit-filled content and have a blessed day. Shalom.
