The hosts of the morning devotion discuss the theme of doing anything for God's glory. They reference the sufferings of Paul in the Bible as an example of enduring hardships for the promise of eternal life. They also mention Jesus as the ultimate example of sacrificing for God's glory. The hosts emphasize that our purpose in life is to showcase God's glory and encourage listeners to do anything for His glory. They end with a prayer and a memory verse about letting our light shine to glorify God. Music Music Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them. Shalom Beloved, we count it our joy to be coming your way once again with another edition of our morning glory devotion. We are Dikine and Dikineske Osin from Harvest Chapel International, Dinami Kumasi. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Everlasting Father, it is indeed a great privilege to spend time with you. Thank you for your willingness to teach us your word of truth. We receive grace to understand and to put them into practice. In Jesus mighty name, Amen. Amen. Let us kindly take our confession together from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart from my mouth, that I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. The theme for today's morning glory devotion is for your glory, for your glory. And our scripture reading shall be taken from 2 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 22 to 28. 2 Corinthians chapter 11 verse 22 to 28. Are there Hebrews? So am I. Are there Israelites? So am I. Are there descendants of Abraham? So am I. Are there servants of Christ? I know I sound like a madman, but I have served Him far more. I have worked harder, been put in prison more often, been raped times without number, and faced death again and again. Five different times the Jewish leader gave me 39 lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not. I have worked hard and long and still remain sleepless nights. I have been hungry and thirsty and have often gone without food. I have shivered in the cold without enough clothing to keep me warm. Then, besides all this, I have the daily burden of my concern for all the churches. The Lord add His blessings to the reading and the hearing of His word. Thanks be to God. Amen. For your glory. For your glory. What would you do for a million dollars? I am sure I must have got you thinking because the list seems endless. But basically, this is the theme for most big-time talent shows like America's Got Talent. With a prize tag of a million dollars, thousands of people come queuing up, auditioning to get in and to compete for this prize. For this promised prize, people of all ages showcase various talents, jumping through hoops and loops, singing their lungs out, engaging in extremely dangerous acts, all in the name of a million dollars. If all these could be done for a million, what more would we do for more than a million? What would we do to walk the street of gold? Have mansions for ourselves? Be surrounded by an innumerable company of angels? To hunger, thirst, and sick no more? To have eternal life and daily dwell in the presence of our Father? To be blessed in this life and in a life to come? Obviously, the stakes are higher, way better than a million dollars could offer. And all these are the promises the faithful Father has made to anyone who believes and endures to the end. With this in view, it gives us a better understanding of why Paul had to endure all the sufferings we read about in the opening text. For more than a million, he had been imprisoned more frequently, flogged more severely, exposed to death even more often, stoned a number of times, in fastings more often, and in perils more than he could count. All these he endured to obtain the promised prize of our faithful Father, for he deemed the sufferings of this present time not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in him. Romans chapter 8 verse 18 Maybe all this may sound a bit materialistic for someone, as though this Christian walk is all for the purpose of walking the streets of gold and having mansions to our name. Jesus came to earth to demonstrate that the stakes are even higher than we have earlier described. For come to think of it, he already had all this and more, and was already hailed Lord in heaven above. Yet he condescended to take up mortal flesh and walk the earth among mere men. And all this he did for the higher purpose of glorifying the Father. For the Father's glory to be seen, he was willing to do anything. For the love and honor he has for the Father, he was willing to go all lengths, even to the point of death, just to showcase the Father's glory. That all men will glorify the Father. For this purpose he came and died. As established in Isaiah 43 verse 7, we have been created by God purposefully to showcase his glory. We have been called as torchbearers to show forth his light in earth, that men may glorify him and him only. Looking at the example of Jesus, for the love and honor we profess for the Father, are we willing to do anything for his glory? Are we willing to condescend to lower depths and do the seemingly unimportant things, the seemingly unrecognized things, the seemingly foolish things? Are we willing to lose to that argument and not have the last word? Are we willing to live holy lives and reject the attractive offers of sin? For more than a million dollars, are we willing to go all out for God and obey his commands and endure till the end? As we go through today, let us focus on this ultimate purpose for which we were called. And in all things, let this be our resolve, that for his glory we would do anything. God richly bless you. Let us kindly take our memory verse for today. It is taken from Matthew chapter 5 verse 16. Matthew chapter 5 verse 16 from the New King James Version and it reads, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Amen. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Gracious Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing to us the ultimate purpose for which we were created. We receive grace to do anything for your glory. To daily have this as our focus and please you only. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Just as we have learned today, our primary purpose in this life is to glorify the Father. With this in mind, let us receive grace to go all out to please him for his glory to be seen in our lives. Amen. God richly bless you for making time to listen to today's broadcast. There's more to come your way right here on Radio ACI today. Invite a friend to come along and participate in this blessing. Have a wonderful day. Shalom.
