In this podcast, Chris and Hector discuss their plan to read and analyze each chapter of Moby-Dick in order to rehabilitate the image of Captain Ahab. They believe that Ahab is often misunderstood and want to understand who he truly was. They also discuss the concept of personal branding and how Ahab could benefit from rebranding in today's world. The podcast aims to not only understand Ahab but also explore how his story connects to our own lives and self-perception. They encourage listeners to join them on this journey of analysis and self-reflection. Hello, welcome to our podcast. My name is Chris. I'm Hector. And what we're going to be doing in this podcast is reading Moby-Dick chapter by chapter and rehabilitating the image of one Captain Ahab. That's right. We are familiar with the character of Captain Ahab, though we've never read Moby-Dick, mainly because we, you know, we hear about Ahab as a villain or as someone, maybe not a villain, but like an antagonist who is wrongfully obsessed with killing this white whale or catching this white whale. And there's so much about Ahab by people who may not have read Moby-Dick either. And so what we want to do is we want to go in, dissect word for word, who was Ahab really? And can we rehabilitate the image of Ahab? That's right. I feel like in this day and age, we are very conscious about our own brand. And I think that's something that, you know, Ahab didn't have that luxury back in the day. He didn't have consultants to kind of refurbish his brand. And I feel like right now he could really use some rebranding and maybe some rehabilitation. And so that's what this podcast aims to do. Join us as we go through episode by episode, chapter at a time. We'll read a chapter. And then we'll analyze the chapter. We'll dissect it. And we're going to really come out of this with an understanding of not just Ahab, but that entire universe, what it's about, and how does it actually connect to our idea of self? And maybe in the process, we rehabilitate our own images. That's right. In some ways, we're all Ahab. And, you know, we all have probably parts of us that we're not so proud of. But maybe we can see it in a different light. And we want you to see that in a different light. So join us. Like and subscribe. Thank you.
