Nothing to say, yet
The Bible study discusses the creation story from Genesis. It emphasizes the importance of focusing our energy and resources on our goals, putting our whole heart and soul into it. It encourages us to have a plan and accomplish something tangible each day. It also highlights the value of involving others in our pursuits, as teamwork can bring new perspectives and support. Hello, we welcome you to join this chariot for a 5 minute Bible study. This episode number 3 on A Step of Faith is titled Creation Story Part 2. My name is Greg Alabi and I am inviting you to come let us study the Bible together. Like we said in the previous episode, the book of Genesis chapter 1 will be a good place to start learning from. For example, we learn that when God saw the situation described in verse 2, he simply said let there be light and there was light. Ecclesiastes chapter 8 verse 4 says where the word of a king is, there is power. The lesson here is that when we want to take a step of faith, we should focus our energy, our time and resources into what we want and not dissipate or be distracted or allow ourselves to be dragged into other issues that may equally be demanding our attention. We also learn, like God did in verse 2, the spirit of God was upon the face of the waters. The lesson, if we want to take a step of faith, we want to see our desires fulfilled, we must put our spirit into it. No half-heartedness, no half-measures, no absent-mindedness, no partial commitment. Put your heart and soul completely into it. For without faith, it is impossible to please God and a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. If God had to put his spirit upon the face of the waters, then we have to follow in his steps and put our heart and soul into what we want to do as we take the step of faith. Now, let's learn some more valuable lessons from the creation story in Genesis chapter 1. Hopefully, the lessons learned will help put some faith in our spirit and encourage us to plan to take that step of faith into what we want to do next. Now, the first lesson here is this. Notice that verse 3 to verse 25, God Almighty was busy creating the things that he wanted. The lesson, taking a step of faith, requires that we get busy working on what we want. For faith without works is dead. Second lesson here, notice that each day, God created something. Third lesson, at the beginning of each day, let us have a to-do list, a plan of what we intend to achieve that day, and at the end of each day, let us have something to show that we have accomplished something tangible as we take the step of faith. There was no day that God did not achieve something new. So should we too. Third lesson here, notice that after God created what he wanted, the Bible says, God saw that it was good, as seen in verse 10, verse 12, verse 18, verse 21, and verse 25. The lesson, as we take the step of faith, our goal or our target should be to accomplish at least one good thing each day. Try this and you will see some progress. Let's ask ourselves, what good thing have I achieved today? Is it relevant to where I'm going in life? Otherwise, what good is spending your time and resources on something that has no value or bearing with what you want? Fourth lesson here is in verse 26. This is one very important one. I want us to pay close attention to it. That verse 26 says, And God said, Let us make man in our own image after our likeness. The lesson, notice that this time, God said, Let us. Now I don't want us to get into the theology of who us means here, which people constituted us. That was being referred to in scripture but my point here is this, as we take the step of faith in doing what we plan to do, no matter how well we are doing, we should invite and involve other people to assist in making their input and their contribution. When God himself at some point in creation had to say, Let us make this next creation, then we should learn to follow in his step and invite and involve other people. When we do, we will be pleasantly surprised at their ideas, better ideas, new perspective, quick and easy progress, support and assistance, the value that they will bring to help us achieve our goal. Two are better than one. A team effort in anything we are doing, the team spirit, a team accomplishment, will go further. People of like minds can get a lot done easier and quicker than just one person. My point here, let us involve other people, be open to their ideas, and the Lord will bless your team in Jesus name, Amen.
