The speaker expresses gratitude for being in the house of God and for the opportunity to preach. They emphasize the power of prayer and how it can change lives. They share a quote about the importance of genuine love and burden for souls. They then discuss the story of Paul and Silas in Acts 16, where they were imprisoned but experienced a sudden shaking and deliverance through prayer and praise. The speaker encourages the audience to trust in God's greater power and reminds them of the devil's opposition to the work of God. They conclude by urging the listeners to continue sharing the Gospel despite the devil's attempts to stop them. I'm thankful to be in the house of God tonight, it is always a privilege to be in the house of God. Hallelujah, hallelujah. I'm thankful, I want to take this opportunity just to say how thankful I am for the opportunity to be behind this pulpit. I never take it lightly to stand behind this sacred desk and always be taken in a very serious manner. I want to also say thank you to our pastor for the challenge that he gave us. He gave it to me just like he gave it to every single one of you here. And Monday I prayed and I felt God. Tuesday I prayed and I felt God. And today I prayed and I felt God again. That's just what God does. When we hit our knees and we begin to pray, God shows up. And I'll tell you this, after I leave my prayer closet, I leave a changed man. Because prayer makes a difference in the lives of men, women, and children. I better stop here, I'm going to start preaching already. I'm thankful, thankful, thankful for prayer. I was praying this afternoon and as I was praying I felt the Holy Ghost come down and bear witness with me. And I want to ask the church, how many wants to get shook up tonight? How many wants to get shook up tonight? I believe God's been speaking a whole lot louder to us than we've been listening. I believe God's been speaking unto us and He's trying to shake us up. So if you can grab your Bibles, let's go to Acts 16 tonight. I want God to shake us up. That is my prayer. That is my prayer. Hallelujah. While you are turning there, I just want to quickly read this. It's been on my heart for a while. Our pastor let me borrow this book and I really enjoyed it, Pentecostal Preaching by Brother Ray Hughes. And he said these words and I want to read them real quickly. People see the preacher in terms of his burden for the ministry and his love for the people. But this is where it stood out to me. The preacher must truly care or he is marked for failure. Love cannot be imitated. Love has no substitute. And this week I've been praying and telling God, I don't want my love to be imitated. I don't want my burden to be fake or I'm a failure. It has no substitute. And I want to tell this whole church, we need to get a burden for souls like we never have before to where it's not imitated, it's not fake, it doesn't have substitutes. It's a burden that's inside us where we are destined for failure if we don't have a burden. I just wanted to read that because it shook me up and I hope it shook you up also. Acts 16, we're going to read verse 22. And the multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates went off their clothes and commanded to beat them. And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely. Who haven't received such a charge thrust them into the inner prison and made their feet fast in the stocks. And at midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's bands were loose. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. I want to preach on a sudden shaking, a sudden shaking. If you could raise your hands and ask God to touch me as I try to preach to you. God, I thank You for this Word. I thank You for this people who have gathered tonight. And I believe they have come to expect and have come to receive what God would say unto them. God, touch my life. God, take me. God, take myself. Help me to preach what God would have me to say. God, take this mouth. Let me be a mouthpiece for You tonight. Let the anointing of the Holy Ghost fall in this place. God, shake us up. God, shake us up. God, let there be a stirring in the hearts. And I ask that God, You would touch a life. Move, oh God, move. Inspire us tonight and speak unto us. I ask in Your Son's name I pray. Amen, amen. Two men of God here were broken. They were battered and they were beaten. We have definitely seen better nights than that night. These men who are preachers of the Gospel. Paul, that great teacher who laid a lot of the foundational doctrines for the church today. We still go by a lot of Paul's writings to this day. This man was anointed of the Holy Ghost who was sent to the island of Philippi with his accomplice Silas. During their crusade of proclaiming Christ, they found that there were very dark, wicked, evil powers at working in the city of Philippi. See, the devil saw that Paul and Silas were on their way. Paul was sent by God to Philippi. God had some work for Paul and Silas to do. And the devil was trying his best to stop the working of God being done in that city. And that's just how it is today. The devil sees that there's a church being put in Clarkson, Kentucky. And he sees that it's a threat unto hell. It's a threat unto him. And he's going to try his best to stop the working of God. Peter said, Be sober. Be vigilant. Because your adversary, the devil, has a roaring lion walking about seeking to be made of our. And the devil will try his best to stop the work of God in the cities of our country. And in this town, the devil does not want the working of God. He hates it. He hates it. So due to the cause of delivering a young lady from demonic forces, an evil influence and a wicked power that which controlled her life and her mind, and shutting down a rotten business that was full of hate and perverse intentions for Philippi, they were both cast into prison. There they are beaten. They are bound. And they're thrown in a cell. And it was in the darkness, in the midnight, in the dank and disgust, where these two preachers found themselves. And I want to ask you, have you found yourself in a jail cell somewhere? Have you found yourself in a place where you say, God, I've done Your work. I'm just trying to obey God. But here I am. I'm beaten. I'm battered. I'm bound. I'm in a jail cell. And I feel like I'm in a hopeless state of mind. I'm worthless. And there ain't no hope left. Why am I here, God? Hallelujah. I wonder if Paul and Silas, as they laid there, might have looked just for a minute and maybe just for a second to thought those thoughts. But they quickly changed them. And they began to pray and sing praises unto God. But here's what I want to preach. Then suddenly, as they prayed, there came a shaking. There came a moving, a shifting, a moving of the prison. And I want to tell you, you might feel like you're in a prison somewhere. And you're locked away. But God's about to send a sudden shaking. And it's going to shake your life. Hallelujah. I've got to slow down here. They were locked away in prison. Doing the work of God. In a jail cell. Beaten. They laid many stripes on them. Here they are, laying there, bound in total discomfort. Probably hearing the moans of other prisoners as they sit there in pain. As they moan in the midnight. And as they lay there, knowing they were doing the work of God. But the devil was trying his best to stop the work of God. He did not want that to happen. The devil was mad that night. He was upset. Because Paul and Silas just did something wonderful for a young girl who was possessed. And the devil's business was closed down for that day. He was shut down. And the devil was mad. And he was upset on that night. So he tried his best to make sure. Maybe we can tuck them away in a prison. Maybe we can keep them quiet for a while. We'll just throw them in the jail cells of Philippi. Make sure you beat them up good. Bind them up tight. Make sure they don't get out. Keep them in that prison. Make sure they're silenced. And they can't do no more work for God. The devil has always hated the work of God. Even from the beginning of time. When God made man and woman in his own image. See, the devil hates the image of God. He was jealous up in heaven. He wanted to overthrow the throne. And he hates it. So when he saw God make man and woman. He hated that too. He hated it. And the devil hates it. He hates it when he sees a group of people get together and have church in a city. The devil hates it. He hates it. And he wants to do his best to stop it. Hallelujah. You might feel like your life is shaking. And it's stirring. And everything around you is shifting. But remember, when you have no control. Even when you are bound. And you're beaten. And you're broken. Remember 1 John 4 and 4. Greater is He that is in you. Than he that is in the world. You've got a greater source. I said you've got a greater source. Greater than the world. And the devil. And all of hell. And all of the principalities of the world. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. God is going to shake the place that you are in. And there's going to be a sound from glory. That the devil can't stop. Oh hallelujah. Paul and Silas. These two great men of God. Who were doing the work of God. Just as we are. We're doing the work of God church. We're trying to win a soul. We're trying to pulse somebody in. And we're going to have love. We're going to have a burden that has no imitations. And no substitutes. We're trying to do the work of God. And the devil is going to try to stop our church from doing the work of God. And I want to slow down here just for a minute and say this. That the devil can't stand it when he sees you witnessing to somebody. Hey listen to me. The devil hates it. The devil hates it when you tell somebody. Oh we've got a church in Clarkson. Just started. God's helping us. Gospel like holiness. Come on down and see us. The devil hates it. I said the devil hates it. He hates it. He's disgusted by it. Because every time you're witnessing. You're possibly planting a seed. Yeah I'm not pulling hard ground. Yes the thorns might suck it up. There might be something that takes it. But there are times. Where it lands on some fertile ground. And a heart is stirred up. And they're shaking. And say oh what. What they got. And the devil hates it. The devil hates it. So while you feel like. Your work is in vain. It is never in vain to witness. I said it's never. In vain. To witness. Never. Not once. You keep on shining a light. Spread that gospel light. And let the world know. Who I am. I am a child. Of the king. And I serve Jesus. Hallelujah. It's not elementary. It's not simple to claim. I'm saved. I'm saved. That's a blessing. To be saved. Hallelujah. So God. Wants you. To spread that light. God has a desire. God sent Paul and Silas. To a season at Philippi. It's also in the same book of Acts. That Paul was on a ship. And a storm raged. And he was shipwrecked on the island of Melita. And he could have thought. Why am I here. On this barren island. What am I doing here. But God had some great works. For Paul to do. On the island. And you might not understand. The place that you were in. In your prisons. Hallelujah. It was that same night. That God shook that prison. God shook it up. And it was that night. That there was a jailer. Who was sleeping. Also he was sleeping in his sins. He was lost. As he laid there doing his job. I was studying a little bit today. And I began to figure out why exactly. He wanted to kill himself. Because he was so scared of. If you study the punishment. That a jailer gets. If a whole prison escapes. He was scourged. And then crucified. For that very act. And he was scared. He was in fear. Because he had no hope. Inside his life. And he was going to take his own life. Hallelujah. God broke their shackles. And he cut the chains. And he set them free. And God wants to set somebody free. God set Paul and Silas free. But God had some other intentions that night. He set a man free. That was not chained physically. But he was palminally. He was lost. And God wanted to set his soul free too. Hallelujah. I love this. The devil. Tried to stop. What they were doing outside the prison. But they were winning a soul. Inside the prison. Hallelujah. You might feel like. You can't get no more God. When you're lost in a cell. When you're in prison. But they want a soul. In a jail cell. Hallelujah. Matthew Henry said. God hereby signified. To these prisoners. In the gospel. Were public blessings of mankind. As they proclaimed liberty. To the captives. And the opening of the prison doors. To those that were bound. And as by them. The bonds of souls. Were unloosed. After there were souls. That were bound up. But God set a soul loose. God set a soul free. And he's wanting to do that. He's wanting to do that. In this hour. Raise your hands just for a moment. Ask God that we can win a soul. Just one more soul. Isaiah 61.1 says. The spirit of the Lord. Is upon me. Because the Lord hath anointed me. Hallelujah. The Lord hath anointed me. To preach good tidings. Unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted. And to proclaim liberty. To the captives. And the opening of the prison doors. To them that are bound. He hath sent me. To proclaim good tidings. Unto the world. On this day. In the city of David. There is a savior. Hallelujah. I bring you good tidings. I bring you good tidings. He wants to save a soul. Hallelujah. Kids you get excited. When you see them gifts wrapped in red. When you come out on Christmas. But Jesus is going to give you. The best Christmas gift. You could ever receive. Better than a new toy. Better than a bike. God can give you salvation. Hallelujah. The best gift. You could ever receive. God has not forgotten you. It ain't hopeless. There is hope for you. Over hell's eyes. Hallelujah. I've only been in this for about two years now. I've been preaching not very long. Well I'm sorry. Two years in March. But I have seen so many times. Even the short time I've been preaching. People let the devil just lie to them. When we went to Georgetown in August. It would shock you. How many people feel like. The devil just. How about this. They come into church. And they are just like. Oh God. The devil has been on me for such a long time. I don't have my song anymore. Listen here. I understand the devil fights. But there has been too much love shown. There has been too much mercy. For me to believe that you are hopeless. And there ain't no hope. Glory be to God. God loves you. And he wants you to come out. Of your jail cell. Tonight. Hallelujah. He is going to shake you up. And he is going to get you out of that place. And show you. That he has never forgotten you. It was Joseph. Who had the dreams that were sent by God. Joseph. Who had such great plans. He knew that God gave him dreams. He found himself in a pit. He found himself thrown in. By his own flesh and blood. By his own brothers. Who hated him. And they threw him in that pit. And they were just going to forget him. And tossed him off to the side. And he must have. I would have imagined. That he could have fought God. Where are you at? But he was in the pain. And he was in the suffering. That God got him out. Yes you might have to endure. Yes you might go through some pain. But hold on God. He is going to get you out. And he has got some work. For you to do. In this wicked hour. Hallelujah. Oh God help me. It was Lazarus. Who laid on his death bed. And I am sure Martha and Mariah just hold on. He is on his way. Hold on he is on his way. But he did not come. He did not show up. Hold on he is on his way. Hold on no longer. The breaths were getting more heavy. And they were getting more heavy. Hold on Lazarus. He is on his way. But he did not show up. And you have been holding on for a long time. Where is he at? I sit for him. I prayed all this week. I need a change in my life. I need a change. In my heart. And I sit for him. Over and over again. But he has not showed up. And you feel like you are going to die. I want to tell you child. He is not late. He is on his way. And I felt this afternoon. When I was in prayer. That you have been holding on for a long time. And your life has been torn in two. And you feel like I am caught out. And I am crying. Over and over again. But he has not shown up. Child he is on his way. Right now. And he has come to save you. And get you out of a tomb. Out of a pit. Out of a jail cell. He is on his way. And tonight. Hallelujah. God has been speaking to us. God has been trying to tell us. That he wants to do some work. In our hearts. I just want to inform you. That you are not so super spiritual. That you don't need help in your life. You have not reached a spot. Where I am ok. I don't need to grow. I need to grow. You need to grow. Every single individual. In this house. Needs to grow. In the Lord. Hallelujah. I am about done. We are in a wicked hour. We are in an evil hour. We live in a day. Where right is wrong. And wrong is right. We live in a day of the devils at work. In the lives of our young people. In the lives of our children. Oh he is on a rampage right now. And he is trying to take out souls. And send them into hell. And he hates the work of God. Being done in his area. Listen to me. The devil occupies this area of town. I said the devil lives. In this area of town. And this was his place. This was his area. But he seen a church that came by. And we are about to shut down. The business. We got some work. To do. For the harvest is ripe. He is ripe. And our souls. To be won. Raise your hands. We can save a soul. We can save a soul. Romans 3.24 Being justified freely. By his grace. Through the redemption. At his end Jesus Christ. I said he paid a price. He paid a price. So that you can be saved. You can be redeemed. And save your life. And save your soul. Stay out of the house tonight. Oh God. Holy Ghost is wanting to shake up the house. He is wanting to stir up a heart. And he is reaching for a soul. I want to tell you something girls. God wants to shake up your life. And your life. And your life. He has not forgotten either one of you. He wants to shake up your life. And your life. And your life. I said God wants to shake up. This church. And stir up hearts. And stir up lives. So we can be a new people. And a greater generation. God wants to do that. In this hour. He is challenging you right now. I said God has set a challenge. Do you want to be changed? I said do you want to change? It is right here. It is right here. I feel the Holy Ghost. I feel the Holy Ghost right now. Do you want to change? You can get a change in your life. And it is at the altar. And the musicians would come. And they would help me here. Jesus is looking for you right now. And Jesus is reaching for your soul. Oh. You might say. Oh here we are again. We are tearing out the altar. Look here. I put all my emphasis upon this altar here. I put all my emphasis upon this altar here. Because it is here. Where lives are changed. And hearts are mended.
