George William Cox

George William Cox, a renowned British historian, dedicated his life to unraveling the numerous myths that surrounded Greece and the world. His extensive research led him to conclude that these myths were actually symbolic representations of solar phenomena. Cox's groundbreaking work caught the attention of Stéphane Mallarmé, a French poet, who translated some of his writings into a book titled Les Dieux antiques (1880). This translation served as a testament to the significance and impact of Cox's theories in the realm of ancient mythology.
