George Ogilvy Preshaw

George Ogilvy Preshaw, born on 25 July 1839, was a Scottish banker known for his adventurous career in the goldfields of Australia and New Zealand. During this time, he held the position of a gold buyer for the bank. Preshaw's experiences in these gold-rich lands would shape his future and contribute to his success as a book author. Tragically, his life came to an end on 28 November 1890.
