This is a video explaining what to expect during the APSCQA Part 3 exam. On the day of the exam, you will go through an identification check, security check, and environment check with your proctor. Then, you will be taken to your interviewer via a Teams meeting. Once you start the exam, the screen layout will show the Teams meeting on the left and the exam window on the right. You will fill out your information, read the terms and conditions, and wait for the interviewer to start the exam. The exam consists of multiple scenarios, each with specific topics to focus on. There are laws and additional information provided for each scenario. You can take notes and use a highlighter. It's important to manage your time and spend enough time on the interview portion. Answer questions in detail and describe findings thoroughly. The exam lasts around 90 minutes and consists of three scenarios. Scenarios are independent and fictitious. Take notes, listen carefully, and apply an investigation app Hi, welcome to the APSCQA Part 3 exam what to expect video. Today I am going to take you on a tour of what to expect on the day of your exam. So let's go. On the day of the exam you will go to the ProctorU website, sign in with your login information and go through the exact same process as you did with your Part 1 and 2 exams. Your proctor will take you through your identification check, security check and environment check. Once that is done, your proctor will be ready to take you to your interviewer. Your proctor will open up the Teams meeting for you and will open up the exam site. We will take a look at what this layout will look like as soon as you are ready to start your exam. Your proctor will open up Teams and log you in. As you can see on the screen, on the left hand side is the Teams meeting browser and on the right hand side is the APSCQA exam window. This is basically the layout you will be seeing and using for the exam. As soon as you meet your interviewer you will introduce yourself to one another and then they will ask you to start filling out your information on the exam site. You will select the Part 3 exam as the exam type and press continue and then choose the language. It will take you to the site where you will fill out your membership number etc. and once that is done you can wait for your interviewer to tell you to click start. You will then be taken to the next page which is the terms and conditions. Make sure to click the checkbox and read the terms and conditions carefully before filling out your name at the bottom. Once you click the start button on the screen it says waiting for the interviewer. Usually at this time your interviewer will take you about the exam procedures and give you some information as well as allow you to ask any questions. We strongly recommend that you ask questions and ask your interviewer to clarify any information for you. Also you are not allowed to leave your desk at this time. When questions are done and you are ready to take your exam the interviewer will bring your exam sets up for you and start the exam. This is the layout of your screen once the exam starts. On the lower right hand corner is a timer counting backwards from 30 minutes. If you are taking an alternative language exam we will provide extra time to accommodate the translation time and it will reflect on the timer. The screen splits into two portions. On the left hand side you will see the definition and instructions and you can scroll up and down using the scroll bar. Once you have read the instructions scroll down to the scenario section. You will be provided with the background information as well as the topics you need to focus on. Currently there are about four to five. Make sure you follow those topics and focus on them one at a time. Sometimes some of the topics may have a secondary layer. For example introduction could be the introduction of you as well as the introduction of the worker and if it's asking you to look at the roles and responsibilities of the security guard make sure you explore all of the areas before you move on to the next topic. We do not recommend you go beyond the topics written here as it will consume your time to explore and investigate in detail. Underneath the topic you will find the relevant laws as well as additional information. Read this carefully as this information is extremely useful. On the right hand side you will see the disclaimer which you can check before or after when you are done with the scenario. Next there is a box that says notes. Here you can type notes. Please remember the notes are not part of the scoring so feel free to write in it whatever you prefer. Notes are highly encouraged. It is helpful to lay out the flow of your conversation for the interview and if there is a question at the end it can be helpful to remind you what the potential issue will be. On the bottom there is a button that says see the questionnaire. Please do not click this button before you are told to do so by your interviewer. Doing so will take you to the next page. If you are not ready to move on you will unfortunately lose the information on the current page and cannot go back so please confirm with your interviewer that you are ready to move on. As you can see here this is your first scenario which is highlighted in blue and when you are ready you can move on to the next one. A quick reminder that there is a highlighter for you to use. If you prefer to use it click on the highlighter and highlight the text. You can also remove the highlight by clicking the button with the cross. You can see the scenario carefully. You can read the scenario carefully. Spend a couple of minutes going over the scenario when you are ready. Let your interviewer know and they will start the conversation with you. I mentioned earlier there is a timer on the lower right side. This is for you to manage your time. We recommend you spend roughly five to six minutes on reading and planning for your interview and a minimum of 20 minutes on the interview itself. Maximise the time spent on the interview because that is the most important part of the exam. Do not rush to answer the question until you have finished asking all the questions. If there is a question at the end spend about five to six minutes answering the question. Another small tip. The question basically asks you to identify potential findings that you have discovered during your interview. We highly recommend you describe the finding in detail as if someone outside of the conversation is reading it. If you are being too vague or you do not provide sufficient information to describe the situation points may be deducted from you. What we mean by detail is for example if the finding you discovered during the conversation is delayed payment try to provide a bit more information such as wage payment has been delayed for the past three months for an average of two weeks for each of the pay periods. This is just an example it's not the exact way that you have to provide it. It's just to give you an idea of the level of detail required. You do not need to write according to law or according to one worker interview. You just need to go ahead and start describing the finding and don't forget to put a number in front of each of the findings. That way you know how many findings you have. Now let's click the see questionnaire button. This brings you to the next page. Remember earlier I wrote down some notes and these have carried over to the next page so you have all the notes available from earlier. On the right hand side that is where you can write the finding. If you have lots of notes you can expand the notes section as well as the answer section. Then you can start writing the findings here for your first scenario. As soon as your timer is up then we stop for this scenario and move on to the next. Now we are on the second scenario as you can see by the tab at the top highlighted in blue. Everything else is pretty much the same. We will go through the exact same process as the last scenario, read the background information, conduct the interview and answer the question if there is one at the end. Notice that there is a next scenario button here. That means that for this scenario you do not have to answer a question at the end so you don't need to write the finding. Now you are ready for the third scenario. Click the next scenario button. When you are done you will see there is a final step button on the screen which will take you to a final question asking you an ATSCA related question. When you are done with the final question that is basically it. This will take roughly 90 minutes after we provide you with three scenarios. Just a reminder the scenarios are completely independent of each other and there are no correlations between each scenario and they happen in three different factories. Also the scenarios are all fictitious and made up. They are not specific to any country, any client requirement or any audit program. So any of the information you need will be provided to you in the background information. Read the information carefully. This will be extremely helpful. Some more tips. Remember to take notes. You may be taking notes while you are conducting the interview meaning that you can pause to take notes and then resume the interview after. There is no rush and your interviewer will understand. Try to write only key points in notes. You don't have to write full sentences as long as you understand yourself then that's enough. Another tip is to listen carefully. Some scenarios might sound similar but they are indeed not the same. The key is to really listen attentively to the workers and whomever you are speaking to. Understand what is actually happening and do not make any assumptions. If you think you do not fully understand please ask to clarify or ask them to rephrase. Also do not switch topics before you finish investigating. One more tip is to make sure you apply investigation approach to identify an issue as well as to gather additional information. This is one of the areas that is critical. Even if you think that you have an issue you will need to collect additional information and triangulate to make sure that the issue is really happening. The severity of the situation, the frequency, the impact on other people and so on. Typically we are talking about those interrogative questions such as what is it? How is it? Why is it? When it happened? And so on. Don't forget we have a lot of information on the APSCA resource library including practice exams so go check it out. I hope this video has been very helpful to you. We will see you in the part 3 exam. Hopefully you will be passing very very soon. Thank you so much. Bye.
